Hey Q. I know this is your thread, but I think we need a theme song for it. If you agree, how about editing that first post to include the following link? Thanks in advance your enemy in telecom wars, but partner in probably pretty much anything else, Driftr Loved that movie!! If you like the song and want to hear it in a more recent movie, I suggest 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs'. :-)

I didn't like Cujo. I don't like any book where the dog dies. Me neither. I did come across another King this weekend when I was going through boxes of old paperbacks I've saved and culling them for the hard covers I'd found at Half-Priced. Night shift. Re-read a few this weekend and Graveyard Shift made me think long and hard about the mice I killed last winter in the garage. As an ex-smoker, Quitters Inc was a good read again.

I didn't like Cujo. I don't like any book where the dog dies. I'm guessing "Old Yeller" isn't on your list then either? Tough book to read as a kid and watch when it was made into a movie. Still cry about it ... What about "Big Red"? Ya know what dirftr? Seems a lot of the far out schemes Tom Clancy and other techno thriller authors have written about seem to be true or at least more plausible everyday. Still can't find the picture of our unicorn. Course more and more things seem to be hiding themselves from me, car keys, cell phone, etc. Oh man. Old Yeller. Brutal. No, not one I'll be having the kids watch if I see it playing on TCM. Yes. Clancy sure does seem to be a little ahead of the curve. Here's a link to pictures of unicorns. www.google.com/search?q=pictures+of+unicorns&hl=en&safe=images&sa=X&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&ei=n0t8UJDDIM3aqQGlsIDADA&ved=0CB0QsAQ&biw=1498&bih=670Did you know that unicorns have the ability to make pictures of themselves print out as cartoons? One of their over-looked talents if you ask me.

I believe this post goes against the intent of the thread. I therefore felt obligated to report it as off topic. Much appreciated.. Any time man. I'm sure you would have taken care of it if you'd seen it after me.

What's new, Driftr? Good to see somebody keeping one of the more entertaining threads alive. Big blister on my right middle finger. First time carving pumpkins with the kids yesterday. Getting the seeds and pumpkin guts out of them took more effort than I expected.

Yes. It's a messy and dangerous job! I don't usually get blisters. I usually cut myself at least once. Two years ago, I got one of those pumpkin carving kits with the mini saws on orange handles? Nearly sawed my fingernail in half. The blood dripping from my vampire pumpkin was not fake.

I'm guessing IZ died of 38 simultaneous heart attacks? I have a nice version of "Over the Rainbow" sung as a duet by Matthew Morrison and Gwenyth Paltrow, of all people. My own version adapts the lyrics somewhat. Somewhere over the rainbow, where nothing's wrong, There's a land that that I dreamed of, One where the dollar's strong... oooooh...
Somewhere over the rainbow, Skies are blue, And the US econ'my isn't totally screwed... oooooh...
Some day I'll wish upon the Fed, and wake up and not be in bed with failing banks. Where profits float above the sea, without the need for more QE so they don't tank.
Oh, somewhere over the rainbow, debts aren't high, Up there, over the rainbow, none of our dreams will die-ie-ie, None of our dreams will die.

Well, ya know what? I'm sooooo sick of people who try to politicize EVERYTHING!!!! Virgil, we were having a real nice time with magical unicorns and fluffy puppies here and you have to interject some nonsense about the FED and our problems with money here in the US. You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but how about moving over to the Money and Politics thread and leave this one in peace? Besides, then you can discuss the problems in your own house, eh? www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/economy/canadians-debt-soars-into-danger-zone/article4613321/Thank you in advance for your understanding.

My bad. I started it by bringing up the recession that's coming and the weapon I'm holding to help us claw our way out of it.

I think Frank has deserted us. The captain has deserted the ship. Nah. Frank is a hit or miss poster. I think he doesn't post at work any more and we only get the pleasure of his company when he has idle time.

*lol* I'm off-topic, am I? How about the following: I once heard a unicorn braggin', she'd gobbled up sun runner's dragon, she liked what she got, it was crispy and hot, or was unicorn's tongue just a-waggin'?
Bah! Surely she means to deceive! But then sun runner made me believe, for though he seemed cross...
...I spied barbeque sauce
...smeared on his collar and sleeve.

I didn't know dragons were welcome here. Did they come here legally or do we need to shut down the borders?

Letting them in so we can make lunch meat out of them seems a bit inhumane, but hey. I don't make the rules.

What do you think those billions and billions of Schneider's "lunchables" are made out of? It's embarrassing to admit, but I've seen my wife pack those lunchables for the kids from time to time. Knowing her it was probably when she had a coupon.

I would give you a thumbs up, but I only have 16 basic smilies available at this point. Something to do with upgrades to security on my work computer I expect?
