Uncle, I just scroll down to the bottom and send a feedback. I put it in as a technical problem. And most of it was in caps!

I put a trade in at 9.47 with a limit order for 23.61 and it still hasn't;t gone threw. I know it hit because 2 minutes later it hit and later in the day also. I have also sent a E-Mail. So far this game has cost me around 2 million. I guess you get what you can for Free. LOL

Folks If we do another game I am Going to Use the Investopedia Stock Simulator as the Platform. It is also free, but it has run flawlessly for me over the past 6 months I have been "Testing" it.

I agree the VSE used to be good, now it just sucks.

And it is REALLY screwed up today! Major problems...have to "find" my game (IBB 2011-2012) & then it won't open it!
It was also saying I didn't have any holdings when I do and doing a bunch of other strange stuff! But yet it will show my ranking??

yesterday i was able to exit a losing position....could not even enter a trade since.......

I haven't been having trouble this time Uncle. Did you send them a feedback email?
The last time I did I had a tech person going back/forth with me every few minutes until they got it fixed.

I'm glad YOU can rest! I've got lots of work to do! House cleaning, laundry, cooking & 5 acre front yard to keep all my flower beds in shape...add or move plants....and a veggie garden area to get to where I can plant in it. After the veggie garden is ready...it'll be awhile yet, maybe not til next year...but I'll add canning & more freezing to my list of things to do!
Also have to go pick strawberries at our u-pick place...clean them & freeze them....and I'm talking a LOT of strawberries! Might have to pick blackberries & blueberries this year too. I'll skip peaches until I get some trees planted here at home. I'm not fond of the kind of peaches that are available close around.

i found out if i use windows explorer i can trade but still slow ... so i downloaded firefox again and let it replace my present firefox...when i restarted my firefox i find that i can trade again ... so beginning monday if i continue to stay at the bottom, it will be entirely my fault......

but it is discouraging for you guys how the game works or for that matter DOES NOT WORK.

Which is why if I set another, I will be switching the platform to the Stock Simulator at Investopedia.

I'm trying but the market just isn't cooperating like it should! Today's drop hurt a bit! Made a nice bit on GOLD and got out of that one! Wheeeew!
Since I don't use my full $10,000,000....I may never make the top but I've done a lot better than I thought I would.

I'm practicing for when we win the lottery and I have REAL money to play with! ;D

My NOK bet is now showing up.. The points I wanted to make to my lady about BIG CAPS have been made thanks to you Mr. Z. So now it's time to have some fun with this game. NOK has sold a lot of new Lumina phones which wont show up until next earnings report. Verizon has said that they want to get the windows platform out there like the did with Android because having three ecosystems will make healthy competition in the market place. I say $6.50 by Aug on NOK so I can try and catch your 40% return this year Mr.Z.. ;D

In hindsight the game is a disaster to traders and more speculative investors due to the constant screwed up game platform. In addition as everyone knows people like myself are cheated out of our approximately 2% in dividends and reinvesting those dividends. Obviously I trade this account more than I would in real life due to the short term nature of the game and limitations of the platform.

I agree with the assessment. The VSE is a messed up platform, and it has screwed everyone up.
In this it has not properly shown the demarcation of Different Individuals "Styles". And it has penalized both the Short term Participants as well as the long term participants.

This is why I had started to look for an Alternate Platform to move the Long Term Game To. And why once I had found something I thought would work I spent quite a bit of time testing it out.

What I came up with was the INVESTOPEDIA STOCK SIMULATOR.
There are some Drawbacks, but they are Minor IMHO.
One of the Bigger Benefits (Also IMHO) is that we can Leave the Game "Open Ended" {No End Date}, which could be a rather instructive Tool in as it would allow for folks to see how a Particular Participants thinking Evolves over time and thus how it plays out.
Another thing I can say at this point is that the Investopedia Platform Actually Tracks Dividends quite well.

So if folks want to run the LTG again, I will port it to Investopedia.
It looks and "Feels" more like a Real trading platform and so far (7 months I have been testing it) it acts as such also.

NOT saying other types of investing and trading strategies are wrong, just trying to show that for those that are more conservative there is an alternative.

THE MAIN THING I HAVE LEARNED FROM THE GAME is that there is a GREAT GROUP of people posting on this board. I SALUTE all that have the guts to play the game and put yourself on the line in this forum. The end results are really fairly random due to the limitations and screw ups of the game platform.

Well Mr. Z IMO it works. I like a conservative approach to things and it's nice to have raw data to explain my points.

Your right about the game bugs, I'll bet that you would still be chasing Ty.. LOL...

Yes I agree thanks to DI for the work in getting it set up and trying to work on a new place to have a good time.

The Idea of the Long Term Game was born out of a differing of Opinions on different styles of Investing. It morphed into a way to see what others were thinking and how they approached it. It has become something which has allowed some newer Investors to test out ideas before actually spending any money.

If it weren't for those who participate and conversate in this thread (and others) the game wouldn't work.

So Really, The Kudos go to all those who have chosen to participate over the last few years - A special Thank You goes to TYFIGHTER who has been an Immense help in that he has gathered and posted the Quarterly Results here for all to see.

You know I got so tired of the garbage the VSE was (Is) pulling I haven't even bothered to sign in in quite a bit.
When does this one end? I ask so I know when to Set up One at the Investopedia site.
