He's hardworking, funny, honest, great with the kids, supportive of my career and me, handy around the house, and sees the magic in everyday things, which he always shares with the kids.

He's cute, smart, funny, hardworking, handy around the house, and he keeps me grounded. I am a better person for having known him and consider myself lucky that we turned out to be more than friends. ETA: That didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it would!

He always puts everyone else first, that is good and bad. He is considerate, loving, affectionate, funny, and smart. Very considerate in bed as well.

My husband is an excellent father and a good husband. He will come home after a long 12+ day working in the heat and make dinner (if I haven't already), help clean the kitchen, go to the gym with me (because I need the motivation) and come back and spend quality time playing video games and board games with our son. He will patiently listen to my grandma tell him the same story two dozen times in a row. He is the favorite Uncle of all of the nieces and nephews and will gladly give up an afternoon off to go to a kids movie with me and the little kids.

he does a lot that he doesn't want to do in order to make me happy (travel, date night when we can, pitching in around the house), he is a VERY involved father and he's not afraid of doing the baby dirty work (diapers, night wakes, etc.), he is very intelligent, he has a great sense of humor, and he is my best friend in the whole world.

He is one of the most intelligent people I've ever met, funny and creative. He grounds me. He's an amazing cook. And, he's willing to go through all this adoption rigamarole with me, even though adoption is my first choice, not his.

He opens jars, squishes bugs and takes out the garbage. He's the yin to my yang.

DH loves deeply. He's generous with himself and his time. He's a wonderful Dad to DS. DH has lots of hobbies and interests and encourages DS and I in ours. He's fun to talk to. He makes me look at things differently. He treats me as an equal partner even though I don't bring in the dough.

My favorite thing: watching him with DD. She ADORES him She will toddle over to his chair while he's working on his laptop, tap him on the leg, and say "Hi Dad!" First phrase she learned to say. And her favorite spot to play is in the corner right next to his chair. She just wants to be right by him all the time. He is an extremely talented musician & actor, but realized its next to impossible to make money doing that, so he gave up those dreams to get a "real job". He still finds ways to indulge his creative side by playing music at church and volunteering with local organizations. He recently helped the local boys' home put on an art show as a fundraiser. He loves me and is my best friend. He supports whatever my dreams/interests are, but provides realistic & constructive feedback when needed. And at the end of the day, there's no one else I would rather sit on the couch with to watch Big Bang Theory (even though he does not like it - he faithfully changes the channel for me each night, even if his ballgame is still on).

Y'all know my husband is a saint. 18 years and he hasn't killed me. Frickin' saint!

Like sam, my favorite thing is watching him with DD. Most of the time, she lights up when she sees him. When she's grumpy and tired, not so much. Even though changing her diaper gives him the hebie-jebies (he's EXTREMELY uncomfortable around a naked girl baby), he still does when I'm unavailable.

I have a very strong personality and strong opinions. ;D I wouldn't do well with someone who has to "be the man" a la the Respect thread. DH lets me be me but isn't afraid to speak *his* mind. (He's often wrong IMHO, but we're keeping this thread to nice stuff, right? )

How come all the responses so far start with "He" or "DH". The topic asks about your spouse. The responses seem a bit unequal so far.....

He's tall enough that I can wear ridiculous heels and not look like a supermodel standing next to Tom Cruise.

He's incredibly intelligent and patient. He's low key and good at calming things down, which is a good foil to my sometimes temper. He's a very loving father to our boys and in many ways, a good example for them to follow.
He also has a fantastic butt.

She's willing to sleep with my ugly ass, and really what more can you ask for from a spouse?
