So...I'm sitting outside on the patio with my faithful lab Boo, enjoying a cool drink (a cold beer for me and ice water for Boo....Ok, maybe just a sip for Boo..) and watching the neighborhood kids ride by with their bikes all decorated with streamers and flags and such for our annual July 4th neighborhood parade like we do every year, and it dawns on me. What ever happenned to all the catastrophic things that were supposed to destroy life and liberty as we know it?
Then I started thinking of all the ominous predictions and trying to remember them all. I mean, there was the infamous famine of...what was it now..2010? Our corn crop was supposed to be history. Food riots and empty shelves in 2011, yeah, I must have been out of town for that one too..I think our entire American food crop was in dire straits. Then FEMA was about to ship us all off to some kind of camp, the dollar was supposed to be worthless by now..oh, yeah, I'm pretty sure we're supposed to be under Martial Law at this point too..And anyone who has been vaccinated should be pushing up daisies at this point. It was a well known fact that pharmacutical companies were actually trying to pare down the world population to 600 million.
Is the Southern coast still there? I mean, I see commercials for tourism in the South all the time but I haven't actually been south for quite a while. If anyone knows if the Earth's crust off of Louisiana has actually exploded, let us know.
And where, exactly, has Jesse Ventura been? Wasn't gold supposed to hit $3000/oz. by now? And what about that DOW 1000 prediction and the demise of the stock market as we know it?
Ahhh.....so many prophacies that I just can't remember.... Maybe some of you guys can fill in the gaps and bring us up to date ........

GEL that one is debunked already. New batch of Mayan writings were discovered and the calendars go into the 17th Baktun or something.

I was thinking to myself how foolish some our with closed eyes. Bill of rights basicly gone, constitution if the US taken apart, Executive Orders signed galore, Credit based system showing strength from DEBT, And those that continue onward with in FANTASY ISLAND delusions from illusions. But those of such will be waking up soon enough.

There appears to be a cottage industry of predicting doom. There are even many web sites, for profit of course, that all they do is predict bad things or look at every event and twist it to appear as a disaster in waiting.
Let's look quickly at the FEMA camps. Yes, they exist. The last big hurricane in New Orleans showed how difficult it is to respond on short notice to a disaster causing the displacement of many people. The mobile homes, purchased at very high prices by the government, were found to contain a lot of chloroform from the manufacturing process.
A better solution (maybe) .... have a place where displaced people can be housed temporarily. Hence the FEMA "camps". I don't know if it is a financially sound way of doing it but it is worth a shot.
That is until the G&D'ers decided to call them camps where citizens were to be placed when the uprisings occurred. Come to think of it .... the uprisings are also more than a little late.

Ah, the old Frank v. Decoy. Before you gloat too much, sir Frank, I seem to recall something about "student strengthened populism", puppies, marshmallows, and rainbows taking over the Middle East as a result of the "Arab Spring"? Where was it? Ah, yes, here it is. Virgil predicting the inevitable: That's what I love about message boards. These "student-strengthened populism" narratives will still be around six months from now when some hard-line Islamic theocracy seizes the reins of power.
Keep smoking that blunt, sir. Promptly rebutted by puppies and marshmallows: Smoke 'em if you've got 'em Virg, I'm just saying that the old guard is going the way of the Dodo bird. Newer blood is taking over, and the bottom line is that, for the most part, less repressive governments. maybe not "USA" templates, but not widespread Islamic fundamentalism. So... how is that working out for you? Oooh, and an update a few pages later (Frank Q sez): 3/20/11 - Update:
Egyptians go to the polls and overwhelmingly approve changes and revisions to their constitution. This is starting to look like something good happenning in Egypt. No talk of Islamic militants...
I'll bet Virgil hoped that I had forgotten what he said a few weeks ago.......
You guys really have to start looking for that silver lining.... Puppies! Puppies and candy canes! Egyptians go to the polls! That sure turned out well for them, didn't it? It's not as if the Muslim Brotherhood is running the country or anything. And it's not like Syria is in the middle of a civil war... or anything. To your credit, by the end of August last year, you were tempering your enthusiasm somewhat. In fact, one might say that all of Virgil's predictions in the "Wacky NWO" thread have turned out to be remarkably accurate, n'est ce pas? But even the great Virgil is fallable. I never thought the US could make it to $17 trillion public debt (plus $6.7 trillion for Fannie/Freddie) without imploding, and here you are chugging away. In Decoy's defense, his wacky "armageddon"-type food riots and FEMA camps are for after the collapse, not before. Hence, if the collapse is forestalled, everything is forestalled. I think that's how it's supposed to work. The FEMA camps may still get you, Frank. They may still be coming for you!

What say Virg? Jury is still out on Egypt my friend, but so far they don't seem to be bothering anyone much. Sure, the military is keeping a pretty good grip but I'm not seeing much civil war, genocide, or anything else going on. Not saying it's Heaven over there yet, but it isn't worse for the wear either. And I haven't heard any news of Egyptian terrorisrs blowing up anything here yet either. Syria is another issue. And the last time I checked, the world hasn't ended and oil is about $85 a barrel.
By the way, you came running pretty fast Virgil. I didn't mention Decoy at all, and in all actuality, many of these "prophacies" came from a number of posters including V.L, Midwesterner and others. I'll bet you'd have come running even faster had I used a dog whistle.
"Laugh it up, Hamburger, but the UN has "optimal global population" listed as 75 million - 250 million in their published mandate for the 21st Century. The figure was "officially" procured by the OPT in 2001, but has been around since the 1970's.
The question you have to genuinely ask yourself is: are these people all talk?"
The above is your response to Aham regarding big pharma plotting to cull the world population. The question I have for you is: Do you actually believe that the UN is planning to start "reducing" the population?
"In fact, one might say that all of Virgil's predictions in the "Wacky NWO" thread have turned out to be remarkably accurate,"
Hmmmm.....not thinking so....but those days were fun just the same.

Ok Decoy. Just tell me where the nearest FEMA camp is so I can turn in my guns and take my seat on the next train........ When the ACLU actually starts concentrating more on Americans, I might pay more attention to them..

Don't sweat it Frank. Hey and nice job next door cleaning up your mess by deleating it. But it's ok as your 13,200 and going up is not working out so well right now along with your CRASH ALERT you added along side it as to the old gold. It's ok though and you have a great day Frank! The jury is pretty well back on Egypt. The party elected by overwhelming majority is "the" face of the Muslim Brotherhood. Even the NYT admits that much. And the only "hitch" seems to be that the military doesn't want to give up power quite so readily. At this point I can't predict which way things will swing. My inclination is still towards the Brotherhood and an Islamic republic, but I wouldn't blame you for betting on the military. I do. Not the "UN". The UN is a group of politicians that run around trying to convince people they perform some useful function. The UN is the international equivalent of Japanese kabuki theatre. They just happened to be the organization responsible for publishing this particular estimate of "optimal population". Nor will population reduction be called "population reduction". It won't be called anything. It won't even be an initiative. There will be a consolidation of the world's political and economic resources, one of the "favourable" ramifications of which is that rather large populations can be culled through Malthusian forces and "strategic neglect". An entire nation can be wiped out by engineering a moderate-to-severe collapse via industrial and economic policy. Let it collapse, declare "there's nothing we can do", and wait until war, famine, disease, sectarianism take their toll and cull the population for you. No FEMA camps or black helicopters required. Best of all, nothing to implicate the parties responsible with the resulting catastrophe. Hence, in short, I do. Whether they'll succeed or not is another question. Already I think some of the "plans" put into motion by TPTB are running off the rails. Perhaps not. It might have something to do with the fact that I need not read your posts to know what they'll be about.

So the Virgil, you actually believe that the worlds leaders are planning mass genocide on a global scale. Thanks for clearing that up for us.
Tell us, will they be using any pharmacuticals? I'd like to get in on the ground floor with that.......keep us updated.....

With a highly qualified version of what is meant by "world's leaders", and with a moderately qualified version of "mass genocide", this statement is correct. And don't take my word for it, take theirs. I must've cited at least two dozen books on the subject over the years we've had this debate. I've posted links to whitepapers published by the OPT. Start with Russell, Huxley, H.G. Wells, Quigley, and work your way up. As for whether "big pharma" will be involved, your guess is as good as mine. I still think it's a stupid idea to pump a slurry of irradiated flu virus and egg byproducts into your veins to avoid a case of the sniffles (going back to our 2009 "should we get vaccinated for the fail flu" debate on the old boards).

Ok. I'll get right on that. Let me get my tinfoil hat ready in case that War of the Worlds thing plays out. By the way, the aliens die in the end and humanity is saved because the aliens got sick from Earth germs. Maybe they should have gotten their vaccinations before they invaded! Just a thought .......
