Hi all! I am just stopping in to say hi. For any Shoprite shoppers it seems that next week will be the summer's Dollar Days sale. Lets hope for a good one!
I just finished the last of the marcal tissues I got for free a couple back. ;D

In my experience, no, unless there's some other issue with the coupon coding or the registers. Of course, the cashiers at the stores I've been to would never notice if something was BOGO or not either.

Just stopping by to say hi! I've been married for a whole month now. Still couponing, but haven't had time to get on here. I've been getting the house together and trying to sell wedding stuff. I'll check back soon!

I keep wondering if/when these drug chain rewards programs might come to an end and have been doing inventory and reassessing what items I might want/need to increase in my stockpile "just in case". Gallon sized freezer Ziplocs has been on my list. I was able to add (4) boxes to my stockpile a couple of weeks ago when I was down to one box, but this sale ought to complete the task (if I can get stock that is ). You gals are all the ABSOLUTE BEST!!

Hope everyone is getting their free candy bars at cvs this week! The red machine has been giving $1/2 Mars candy every day and they are 2/$1 this week! If you were lucky enough to print them, there WAS .75/2 Milky Way IP available yesterday but it seems to be gone now. Also, one of the varieties of Infusium is on clearance for 3.64 and giving the 4 EB, so a small MM.

Over the 7 years my Dad has lived in the seniors building I have become ‘chat’ friends with several other residents. Yesterday a woman told me about a GREAT charity resale shop fairly nearby. In fact, it’s in the town where I worked for 20 years and I NEVER knew it was there. She has shopped there for years and is generally well dressed.
I am going to have to check it out, maybe today. I have 3 things coming up in early Aug and could use a new (different) pant outfit or sundress plus I am always looking for certain color pants and/or tops. I may even have lunch out (have coupon and gift card for a nearby place). It helps that the lunch place and Target are quite close. I also have 3 cooking/food prep things I need to do today.
Can you tell I do NOT want to do housework?
Early this am I was reading posts from a blogger whose grocery sales start on Wed (mine are Thur for natl chains). I sure hope my sales match. There are a number of items I like and use that have GREAT (stock up or treat) prices but I have found that her prices are generally MUCH lower than mine. The HUGE price difference does sort of tick me off.
I got my ads this am for the Thur sales. Only 1 item the above blogger listed is in my ad and that is ONLY for 1 day. Not sure if I will do it, depends on other shopping wants/needs and $ left this week.

CVS: CRT for $1/2 Mars candy bars and there's a new $.75/2 Milky Way IPQ on coupons.com. That makes 8 free candy bars if you can print 4 coupons.

I read on Hip to Save's blog that there is a $5.00 off your next shopping trip at CVS. Available through 8-1. From the blog: Wow! For a limited time, CVS is offering up a *HOT* $5 off Your Next In-Store Purchase coupon! To score this sweet offer, just create an account on the newly designed CVS web site and link your ExtraCare Card to claim this offer. Then, go to the “My Savings & Rewards” tab to see the coupon. You can either print it out or add it to your ExtraCare Card. This coupon is only available until 8/1, so snag it while you can!

Guess what is in the Denver Post again today? I'm scavenging in the dining room as people leave their papers behind to head off to work.

From 07-08-12 SS, $1/1 Speed Stick Antiperspirant/Deodorant.
DH and DS (18 and works out every day) use this, and CVS has a deal starting Sunday, so I would like to:
5 * 2.99 Speed Stick: 14.97 - 5 * 1/1: -5 ____________
9.97 and gives $7 ECB.

I did hit the new resale shop on Thur (and ate lunch out for only $1 above my gc). It is more $$ than my local Salvation Army but I finally found another pair of black pants. It also seems to have better labels than SA. One thing I REALLY like here is that they have dressing rooms to try on stuff. Had to pass up REALLY nice black wool (never see wool) pants – too big. This shop is about 5 mi north & west of where I worked 2½ years ago. Also, I ‘think’ the store is newer than that as I used to sometimes pass that mall.
Remember to check my stockpile. Remember to check my stockpile. It is back to school sale time. I KNOW I do NOT need pens, pencils or erasers. I DO know I need printer paper (bought at Target Mon) or thought I did. I do have an entire ream. Thought I needed notebook paper (use this for meal planning, grocery lists, scratch paper…….). Checked this am. Have 6 pkg in my desk and one open in the kitchen. Still need 1 x 2 sticky notes.
I was reading a blog this am and the blogger talked a bit about Aldi. I have an Aldi in my burb and another near my Dad. Strangely, the one near my Dad frequently has better prices on non-advertised perishables and clearance items.

Had severe storms and tornados go through here yesterday afternoon...been without power at home since 4 pm yesterday...NOT FUN...I've never been so happy to come to work in my entire life. Please cross your fingers for me that it comes back on soon or I will be losing 2 huge freezers full of food

Constanz: I am praying that you get your power on soon. I know how bad that sucks having a power outage and a lot of food to worry about.

Thanks guys! Power came back on around noon yesterday. So, about 20 hours, but, at least my freezers were saved. Most of the stuff in my fridge was ok, too. I rode down to check on my camper today, as the one confirmed tornado hit about 10 miles from there, and all was fine. Lots of branches down, but no damage, thankfully, cuz I don't think I could've taken anything more this week. I'm physically and emotionally exhausted. Even skipped my family reunion cuz I just didn't feel like being social today.

constan Congrats on surviving w/o any losses.
Thanks for reminding me to check in at CVS on line. I NEVER get emails from them but there was a $3 EB waiting for me. Printed & I have plans for spending it. Have a maybe list for WAG this week-need to see what else I want/need.
Meijer has several brands of cat food (that cat will eat) on sale this week & I have some decent coupons so that will be my big stock up for the week. Also, a local independent market has asparagus and chicken legs so that is also on my list.
With Sam’s having an open house next weekend I will check a couple items I have priced elsewhere to see if I can do better (kasha & TVP). Also, want to see if they brought back the large container of marinated artichoke hearts.
I follow a couple of food/recipe bloggers and I get the Rachel Ray magazine (FREE). It amazes me that NONE of these people consider costs. Recipes call for items that are single use and/or REALLY expensive like fresh fish. Or even worse, they are full of fat (mostly none too healthy) and sodium. I cannot tell you the last time I copied a recipe.

I went to my CVS account this morning and received a $2.00 CVS bodywash coupon. (I mentioned earlier this week about Hip2save's blog). But, going through this week's ad, I did notice they are offering $3.00 EB on Lotrmin products. There is a $2.00 off coupon here. www.lotrimin.com/get-coupon.htmlIn case anyone was looking at this.

Back from vacation. It was VERY relaxing. Colorado was HOT, HOT, HOT!! It is a gorgeous state, but I don't think I could take the hot in the summer and the cold in the winter. We were in the Denver area and the occurrence of hot flashes (for me) was more frequent BY FAR. I wonder if it had something to do with the altitude because now that I'm back home, my mentalpause seems to be back to "normal". I had $5 in EBs expiring today on two cards, so I went in this morning and bought some clams on a rain check on one of them. I didn't feel like trying to put a deal together to roll anything and we can always use clams. I also did a few exchanges from a couple of EB deals where they did not have the product that I wanted, which means I haven't completely lost my mind. LOL Maybe today I'll figure out what I want to do with the other one. I have some BOGO Head & Shoulders and will probably get the $1/1 tonight AND I got a $2/10 Head & Shoulder from the scanning machine, but the auto deduct did not work for me in the past and if it doesn't do that I'd still be paying OOP, so I don't even know if I want to try it for a roll because I do have H&S in my stockpile and it's all about little or NO OOP for me. If anyone has any ideas for rolling a $5EB TODAY with little or no OOP, I'm all ears....uhm, eyes.

Last week I got a $5/15 beauty and $2/10 facial care, so I worked out a potential combo for the olay deal at CVS this week, which is $5 EB on $25 purchase.
3 olay daily cleansers: 11.22 3 olay body wash: 17.97 -$5/15 beauty -$2/10 facial care -17.97 (3 x buy cleanser, get free BW coupon in today's PG) =4.22 Use 4 EB, pay .22, get back $5.
I'll probably have to tweak the deal a bit, since my subtotal is <$1 short of $30. If I get to $30, I can send in another olay rebate, which would really make the deal worth it.

I went to the $ store with 3 ($3 off 2 Dove hair products.) They were on sale for $3. Cashier tried to tell me that they could not do the coupon because that would be like getting it for free. DUH. Got it done anyway. So I bought 6 conditioners for $9. I feel pretty good about that.

Dancin this is really your best bet this week. There is the BOGo for BW wyb the facial cloths Q in today's P&G, and the $3/2 cleanser Q from the last one, like ehalf posted. Even if you don't have the CVS Q's she has the Big Red Machine is spitting out $3/$15 in Olay. soo your deal should look like this, 3 Olay BW,.................... $5.99 ea.....$17.97 3 olay facial cloths...........3.74ea........ 11.22Minus 3 BOGO BW...........5.99ea........-17.97 1 $3/2 P&G Q(7/1 $3/2 facial cloths........3.00 CVS CRT.............................................. 3.00Subtotal................................................5.22 From here you can use your $5 ECB and you will get a $5 ECB for buying more than $25 worth of these products plus I don't know the details but there is a $10 rebate that requires $30 worth of Olay so if you can come up with another buck you could get that also. Even if you dont you would be even as far as ECBs plus only pay .22 cents for all six of these products. I HTH! ;D

On another CVS related note, the red machine seems to be giving out $1/2 herbal essence/aussie shampoo. It's 2/$6 with $1 EB, plus there are $1/2 coupons from last month's PG that don't expire until Tuesday. BUT we're expected to get $3/2 coupons for those shampoos in next week's paper, which would make them a better deal for next week even without the EBs. If the $1/2 coupons print every day and are not a one time thing, you could even get free shampoo next week:
10 x aussie/herbal essence: 29.85 -5 x $3/2 MC in 8/5 paper -5 x $1/2 scanner coupons = 9.85, get back $10 EBs
Better deal if you have another $/$$ coupon for beauty or something.
