I am actually surprised how nicely SW has implemented this, because I know how hard it is to program for this - You have a regular price, a sale price, a personal price for the customer and the system automatically takes the lowest of all 3, applies the deal & discounts properly and then checks if you have a coupon saved on top of it and then takes paper Qs too. We can complain about it, but of all the stores that have all these deals, SW has the best program, if you know how to cherry pick the best deals. I don't print out my deals anymore. My store has associates - young boys and girls with their ipad and I just login from there and show them my page. I have had only 1 issue so far with J4U and I have been doing it for the past 5 months. I also like that I get more produce & frozen veggies Q than anything else. Well, I certainly know how to do that so hopefully it will pay off.

I only had a problem once and that was over memorial day weekend...I had a personalized price for NY steaks for $3.99/lb instead of the $4.77lb card price. when it didn't work, i went to CS and showed them my acct on my cell phone and they refunded me $7 with no problems at all....
as far as limits with the Just4U price, it depends...like when they had the soda on sale for $2.27 with Just4U, it was limit 3 per transaction but it was unlimited, so I just broke the transaction up twice and bought 6 cases of soda and used $1 coupons from uncommon kindness and paid just $1.27/ 12 pack...i also got sun drop soda for .27 because they had the digital $2 sundrop coupon plus the just4u $2.27 price and it came off with no problems.

This is what I"m looking at this week at Rite Aid: Carefree, Stayfree, or o.b. 2/$5, limit 6 Get $2 UP wyb2 -MC $.75 ea (I think) 5/6 SS Submit for rebate for $5 wyb2. Not sure what that brings the total to but it sounds good for one of my favorite brands. Does anyone see any holes in this? I wonder if the rebate is still valid. It's been in my file for a while an I can't get to it at the moment. I remember the rebate saying very strongly that you couldn't submit it to separate addresses. Is that a standard thing I've never noticed? FreeSalsaWhat rebate is this? skubbiky, I found some peelies on the package a while back. Think it's a good price even without the rebate, but it's probably a moneymaker with it.

Has anyone shopped at Albertson's lately? It looks like they have changed their store policy to allow overage like Walmart. If anyone has done this, can you let me know? Thanks

I haven't been to Albertson's in ages for a serious deal. Not since they stopped taking competitor's coupons. On the rare occasion when I thought I might get a good deal, it turned out not to be what I thought.

The interesting thing is that I don't think that show would appeal to many who are not couponers. I mean, someone might watch it once or twice, but then realize that it is always the same shit, just a different smell. I not only found it BORING, but I didn't like the way that it portrayed people who used coupons for the get go. I think I watched two episodes and was over it. Is there some draw from people who have stockpile envy? Maybe that's it. And just think of the changes that are being/have been implemented as a result of that show: To deter stockpiling. Many stores have discontinued offering doubled coupons. Many manufacturers and stores are limiting how many like coupons can be used in a transaction. To deter coupon fraud. Manufacturers have been forced to change their bar codes so that coupons will be used on the correct item. Manufacturers have been forced to put holograms on their FREE coupons so that they can't be counterfeited. I recently received one for CoffeeMate. And how much would you bet that coupon fraud has INCREASED since that show started airing? I certainly hope that this is the last season.

FreeSalsa make sure when you are taking to HR or a supervisor about this you are very specific and give specific examples instead of saying something like "she is being unpleasant". You need to document exactly what she is doing and maybe even keep a diary with dates and times. This way you can walk in and when they ask you what you are upset about you can open up your diary and give an exact example of what happened on this date and time. Then explain how that made you feel and makes for a very unpleasant work enviornment. HR normally responds to that much better. I know it's not much but I HTH! Excellent advice, thank you. I did give specifics and tell them how I felt but didn't write anything down. I'll write down what I said and do it in detail in the future.

They're in the 5/6 SS. Any advice about the separate addresses?

Great run at Sprouts tonight. Oh how I love a good markdown! They "reset their display" and as a result, were getting rid of lots of dairy stuff at 99 cents each. There wasn't much left when I got there.
2 Alta Dena gallon skim milk, 99 c - 55c any California dairy Q = 44 cents a gallon! (reg. $3.50+) 6 - 1/2 dozen organic, free-range, brown eggs (they were already out of the full dozens) = 99c, (reg. $2.50+) 2 Blueberries (U.S. grown) 88 c 2 Nature's Path organic granola bars $2.99- $1 MC = $2 (reg. $3.50-$4.00) 1 Voskos yogurt $1.69 - FREE coupon from signing up online = FREE
Let's see, what can I make with milk? (Good thing I have tons of cereal.) Shakes, smoothies, pudding, baking. Gotta make some room in the freezer for the extras too.

Not just household stuff like Tide, which is big on the black market for some reason.. He said they've had a lot of loss lately. They do lock the higher priced razors. You have to ask an associate to unlock the item if you want to buy it.

Dagnabbit!!! I have now found I DO have a BIG preference in dishwashing soaps. Just used Cascade gel-packs for the first time in a LONG time and find it is MUCH better in my unit than Finish. Shame since Finish runs those GREAT deals w/coupons every year.
Dancin On the J4U: There are some (advertised) items EVERYONE can log in to get. Then there are the ‘deals’ that are ‘supposed’ to be based on your buying history. This is NOT true. I get female deals and am 10 years beyond needing them.
Some of the deals are limit 1 purchase, some are limit a couple and some are NO limit. If there are different 10 items you want you may buy all 10 up to the individual limit on each.
You print the list right from the J4U pages when you are done w/all the special pricing & store matches.
NOTE: Some Safeway stores have Wed start ads and some have Thur (my area).
Saveinla One of my local bloggers reported that the Albertson’s overage allowed would be effective 7/1/12. thought I posted that here along w/the WAG loyalty cards starting in Sept.

I'm going to give it a try for a while and see how it goes. I am a cherry picker, so maybe it will help. As for having a favorite, I think there are a few items where many of us have a favorite. I know I like the Dawn dish liquid better than the Gain. It seems to cut grease better. Will I use Gain for free? You betcha!! I haven't even tried the Finish yet in my dishwasher. I need to do that. One of the reasons is that we have really soft water and I'm afraid that a whole get tab or power ball will be way too much detergent. I am using Cascade liquid right now and I only need about 1 T. to do a load. It seems like the manufacturers are trying to steer us toward pre-measured products (the dishwashing tabs and now laundry tabs). I don't like that at all because I almost always need to use less than the "normal" amount. I suppose I could cut the gel tabs. That will get messy, but......free is free. After I use my liquid and powder dishwasher soap, I'm sure I'll put up with the mess rather than spend money on something that I already have.

They said it was a sting from seeing the same people selling at fleamarket/yardsale type things. Eventually someone tipped the cops off that they had stolen all of it. What a way to make a living.

I did watch a few minutes of EC this week. All I can say is I like watching trainwrecks. My first thought watching them shop was I finally get how they save so much percent wise. The trick seems to be to never buy things like fruits, vegatable and real food. My second thought was how the heck do they get all those super high value coupons. Plus most said "free". Clearly that woman got overage, which in my area still sounds like a unicorn. In my experience when a coupon says free the cashier has to put in the amount the item cost. Yet somehow those coupons were just ringing up without beeping for the price to be input. Then again maybe that was edited out, but they said she bought meat so she had to have overage somewhere. In my own journey into extreme couponing yesterday I bought 6 Ken's salad dressing for 0.25 cents a bottle. I got one box of kellogs crounchy nut cerial for free. I also got 6 little Tony's pizza for 0.38 cents each. Lastly I got 3lbs worth of london broil, for $7.12, that the Dos Equis company kindly offered to reimburse me for $5.00 of. ;D And up on LRWC it says that the Shoprite deal for buy $50 worth of gas cards get a $10 OYNO cat is back!

The trick seems to be to never buy things like fruits, vegatable and real food. I'm not blaming you for watching; but the more people watch, the longer it will be on. This is the way that the show plays out: I am SURE that they get several advanced ads from the grocery store where the show will be featured. They wait until they can find one where there are a lot of coupon matchups that will get them several items for free after coupon. Then they order a cazzillion of said coupon on-line (the show probably even pays for them) and viola....an extreme couponing trip. It will be a once in a lifetime thing that they nor anyone else could ever duplicate again because there would never be enough time to do it within normal time constraints and there would never be that amount of stock available. As far as I am concerned, the people are real and they ARE really into coupons, but what they portray on the show is a complete fake because the show does not give insight into how they REALLY were able to make their "haul".

Ok, here's a WWYD question for the group. I got a Target mailing last week with a coupon for a $20 gc when you make a wedding registry with at least 20 items on it. Would you go & make up a fake registry to get the $20?

CVS Alert! Just got an email saying that tomorrow, one day only, the red machine will be giving out a coupon for Coke 12 pks for 1.99 with a $10 purchase! Of course, I've done most of my CVS deals this week, but may be able to cobble something else together with some of the EB deals (toothbrushes, floss, etc.) ;D

dancin - since they are individual sized & sealed, go ahead & open a pack of the finish & try one BEFORE you use all the other stuff. that way if you try it once & KNOW it will not work at all for your dishwasher & water system, you can be on the lookout for freap of the stuff you can use & make plans to get rid of the stuff that doesn't work.
sam - i really don't know. i bet a lot of people who get that mailing are gonna do it though.
