pinkbow - i think you hit the sale too late. my safeway had the wishbone dressing for $0.99 for 4 days only & it ended Monday. I was lucky to get $1/1 coupons but only 2. I found that I really like the buttermilk ranch so got my 2 & had them adjust down the last q to $0.98 for $0 OOP. I didn't want anything else to try to cover 2-cent overage.

HOUND ALERT - $1/1 Rimmel (4/29 RP)
This must have been regional because I didn't get it in either newspaper that I received inserts from. Did anyone get it?

Nah, I am not really looking for any Qs right now...I only buy the LA Times, and it usually gives me GREAT inserts and tons of Qs. Plus, it may be different since I'm on the Central Coast.

If anyone uses Discover Card, 5% cashback this month on groceries. I got some really nice Kroger coupons in the mail today. I might have to check out their sales this month. Be Aware: The limit on this is $300 in purchases = $15 cashback. As a single, that is WAAAY more than I will/can reasonably spend in a month. However, I do normally use cash for many other purchases so I will do some cashover spending. I am also planning on getting some gift cards both for grocery stores and for a couple restaraunts. NOTE: You do have to specially sign up for this offer either online or by phone.

Has anyone scanned their card more than once this week? Did the red machine give you another $1/1 off deodorant? If you did the Mennen deal, how did it work out?

I know I have been MIA for a long time. Read occasionally but have been super busy at work. Besides that I don't think the deals are out there and I don't need to stockpile any body wash for a while. LOL. My BOGO Q's to use two and get both free isn't working any more at WAGS. So that's a bummer. Are any of you still able to do that deal?

I don't need to PAY for deodorant, but FREE deodorant is always a good thing. In addition, my experience has been that you don't need to concern yourself with exp dates on deodorant.

Yes, we are still able to find a freebie here and there. Who knows if it will get better or worse in the future? I do the best deals and let the rest go; but then, that's what I've always done. As for WAGs, I just got my first RRs in a very long time a couple of weeks ago on the NasalEase, so I am not up on the changes at WAGs. My store did get the new registers though.

Dancinmama: I did the deodorant deal at CVS. The BOGOF q does scan at $3.99. So with the $1.00 CRT q, I paid .01 + tax. I did get a second $1 CRT for deo and $1 CRT for toothpaste. I bought the toothpaste, too as I had a Reinventing Beauty $1 q as well as the $1 CRT. Used a $1 EB (they reduced to .99) so paid tax and got the $2.49 EB back.
Saveinla: PM your addy and I can send you two Morningstar q's. Anything else?

Also, you COULD throw on a second $1/1 CVS deoderant Q if your store lets you, and add one of the decorative TP things that are 1.99 with 1.99 back. The second $1 deoderant Q would eat into that, making it a small MM.

To whoever posted about using Dawn and peroxide as a stain remover thank you... I saved a pair of pants and a shirt. I tried Shout first and it didn't work. Thanks again... I am never wasting my money on Shout or Spray and Wash again.

On the BOGO deals, they seem to be splitting the price between the 2 items. Example: Let's say a bodywash is $7.99 each and it's BOGO. Rather than ringing up as: $7.99 FREE It's ringing up something like: $4.99 $3.00 So, with the BOGO mq, even best case scenario, with a cashier giving you the higher one off, you still have to pay. I feel like I have a few years worth of bodywash...so hopefully by the time it runs out, we can get more freebies again.

Hi all! I hope everyone is having a great day. I have to pick up an Rx from CVS so I guess I am picking up some deod while I am there. ;D I was actually just totalling my Staples savings for the year so far. It has been a good year so far for us! So far this year I have bought $409.70 in merch after coupons - $229.05 in rewards - $78.36 in easy rebates for a final OOP of $102.29. ;D I know that actually sounds like a high OOP for some here. I don't like to accumulate things like anti virus software I will NEVER use just to use my rewards on rebate items. So what I have done is use them on things we need and will use only. So included in the $102.29 is a extra wide print printer and an HP 23 inch computer monitor plus all our ink for the year.

Has anyone scanned their card more than once this week? Did the red machine give you another $1/1 off deodorant? If you did the Mennen deal, how did it work out? Well I went in to get my son's Rx today. i guess I had good news and bad news on the deod. the good news is that the Bogo coupon for the speed stick is scanning at $3.99 automatically. For me the bad news is I didn't get the $1/1 crt for deod, on either card! I ended up getting it because when I scanned DH's card it spit out an ECB for 0.75 cents that I hadn't realized it had since we use it so rarely. All the CRT spit out for me was the $10/2 olay and $1/1 Gum tp. Oh well I guess you win some and lose some. Question about the P&G rebate. My local Shoprite has some good P&G cats this week. On my receipt it says CG cheeker $3.99 and right under it is says -1.00 for the price plus disc. So for the rebate do I count it as $3.99 or $2.99? After coupons and cats I only paid $0.97 cents for all three CGs so no complaints either way ;D, but I need to know how to count it for the get $10 when you spend $50 rebate.

Did you keep scanning your card until the red machine said "NO MORE COUPONS"? I had to scan DH's card a second time to get the $1/1 deodorant and the $1/1 toothpaste. I will be going back today and tomorrow to pick up more free deodorant. The last time they had the freebie Mennen deal at CVS, I bought it and gave some to DS. I also gave some to his GF. There has been a deodorant deal since then where I would have had to pay $.50, but I held out. I am so used to getting most non-perishables for free that I just can't bring myself to pay that much in OOP even though by most peoples' standards that would be an awesome deal. I still had a few men's and women's deodorant in my stockpile so I decided to just be patient hoping that there would be another freebie....and sure nuf. I noticed yesterday that stock was getting low. Someone had wiped out the stock of women's deodorant which didn't bother me because I don't seem to use it up as fast as DH, but still. The women's had been fully stocked on Monday. I am hoping that I can get the job done without using rain checks.

beach - I would count them as 2.99, but the easiest thing to do is call the number on the rebate form. Those ladies are awesome.

Dancin, yes I scanned each card till it said no more coupons, which in my case both times was with the first set. I even went back after getting my stuff to see if it would pop out then and no such luck. I am down to my last ones right now so even though it ended up like $0.50 for both I bought them anyway. At this point it isn't worth the gas to drive even a few miles back out again later to save the 0.50 cents IMO. Saveinla thanks. I probably will just do that. I am about half way done. There is nothing else right now that we will use and or we have the coupons for and I am sure other things will come up so I am trying to be patient.

If I had been low, I probably would have done the same thing. Time and gas should always be a consideration. Maybe I got to CVS just in time to get the coupons. I don't know if they have a certain number of them that they allow the red machine to print nationwide, but there have been times when the same thing has happened to me. I am REALLY lucky in that my Safeway, Nob Hill, WAGs, and CVS are less than 5 minutes from my home. I pass on a lot of deals at Rite Aid, Target, and WalMart because they are across town.

Dancin: I think your math may be wrong. Wasn't the bacon alone $4.00? Or did you miss mentioning a OM coupon?

pinkbow - i think you hit the sale too late. my safeway had the wishbone dressing for $0.99 for 4 days only & it ended Monday. I was lucky to get $1/1 coupons but only 2. I found that I really like the buttermilk ranch so got my 2 & had them adjust down the last q to $0.98 for $0 OOP. I didn't want anything else to try to cover 2-cent overage. That's possible, although I swear the ad said Ken's dressing was 99 cents through May 1, which is when I went. I really hate the grocery options here! Everything seems so expensive and the produce is typically awful. I went to visit my parents last weekend and went grocery shopping while I was there and spent $60 buying what would have cost almost $100 at Safeway.
