Redwagon: Just lurking this month but wanted to tell you- That's all I remember about being pregnant with The Boy- Sleeping! I worked from 6am to 2:30 monday through friday. I would get home around 3 and take a nap, wake up to have dinner and hang with DH and by 8 I was back in bed. I have never before and never since napped like that. I don't remember morning sickness or the pain after the C-section. But I do remember just feeling sooooo tired all the time for the first few months.

Sheila - so it's not just me? hehe. I'm feeling energized now so I'm going to try to be productive today out in the garden.
Sooooo I had my ultrasound this morning. My doctor happened to be in today so she was in the room with us and the tech. And I heard her gasp and go "Oh my god." TWINS!!!!!! DH and I are both kind of in shock. We have a tiny nursery to begin with. Time for mini cribs, and some real estate shopping... The doctor did say a lot of pregnancies start as twins and you lose one and to try to keep calm until we get to 12 weeks, but still. AHHHHH!!!!! Hoping they both stick, but I have some SERIOUS budget finagling to do. I might not be going back to work for very long at all (just long enough to have them pay for everything) because it'll be (probably) more expensive to send them to daycare than what I would make working. Lots to figure out....

Red- Wow Congrats! I hope they both stick. I remember having to pull over when I was driving and close my eyes for a few minutes because I was so tired I literally couldn't keep my eyes open and this was the middle of the afternoon. If you are hosting two purple wagons, I can imagine it is even worse. Good luck with figuring everything out! I'd start researching consignment sales in your area to see if you can pick up some gently used equipment.
Happy Easter everyone!

dakota - yeah driving last weekend got quite tiring, and I did about 10 hours of it total. Luckily I broke it up into shorter segments. As for stuff, between our two families and their obsession with babies, I honestly don't expect to have to buy stuff like car seats and strollers (I don't mean to sound bragging or anything). My mom's pretty much already offered to buy the crib. Maybe she'll spring for two! Plus SIL's kids will have outgrown a lot of their stuff so maybe I can get at least one set of stuff from her. It's more the day care, formula, day to day costs I need to figure out...

RED: Congrats Praying for you and BOTH babies. Being extremely tired is extremely normal. The fatigue was how I knew I was pregnant. I will tell you what I tell all first time moms REST. It is the only time you will ever be alone again!! Especially if you have anymore. The second pregnancy is so much more demanding because not only are you pregnant but you have another little one to care for. REST and just take in an enjoy being pregnant (even the stinky parts). Plan what you can but in the end it will all work itself out. So happy for you. Angel: {{HUGS}} I took my walking boot off yesterday. A week early but still a total of six weeks with no running. I will not run for another few weeks as I will be starting a walking program first. My stress fracture feels great but my calf muscle is tight and I suspect that was the cause of me getting a stress fracture. Trying to avoid the cost of physical therapy but nor sure if I can. Today we will be going to the Diamondbacks Home Opener (a family tradition). It can't come soon enough!

Oh I know that. I also know my plan was to quit my job and freelance from home ANYWAYS so this just gives me more reason to do just that. I'm sick of commuting 3 hours a day! If I were to work a fulltime job again after kids, it'd be close to home. But my dream is to write, so if I'm home I can (haha) have time to do that.

update; 4 NSD, 4 NEO, $250 in savings. I went to McD's after getting groceries but again it was under $5. The total was $3.06 so that is $6.11 I could have put in savings but I was hungry because I did not eat before going to the store. My bad.

Congrats Redwagon. Twins. I secretly wished for twins but God knew what he was doing. I have four kids and everyone is a blessing. You will never be the same. Rest, relax and enjoy it.

Update: 4 NSDs -- as of now. No idea what today will bring.
RedRuby -- Welcome back
Red Wagon -- Congrats
Yesterday I didn't leave the house. Spent it reorganizing the house. Sometimes when things get really busy at school (like all year) the house organization gets pushed to the back. Things are now back organized and up-to-date. Also I was able to donote over four boxes to charity yesterday. Love the fact they pick up at the doorstep. Will beginning a new box soon I suspect.
Wishing all of you a blessed holiday.

Congrats red! Have you told the family yet?
I'm finally back in California, though in LA for a few more days. Today is the first time in 10 days I haven't seen blue eyes or spent 14 hours with him... sad face. So I'm heading down to the beach soon and taking the day to relax.
Yesterday was awesome, we spent the morning in the pool and sunbathing, then had lunch with my best friend downtown before driving to LA. We even closed a new client on the road while driving. So even though I don't get to see blue every day for awhile (until he moves out here but that's another story) we are going to be talking every day and working together.

Thanks ladies!
startsmart - we told my parents about the twins but that's it. Apparently they've been giddily giggling ever since (much like we have). We'll tell blue's parents tomorrow, then break the twins news once they've processed the baby news. I like the two-stage effect. We're keeping the twins news to parents only until end of first trimester, just in case, but letting parents tell others about the pregnancy in general. My mom keeps cracking up because now "Bit" is "Two Bits" lol.
money - great job on the organizing and donations! we have a lot of that in our future.
Today we went to Lowes and bought the supplies to finally fix the fence. It came in cheaper than expected, which is always nice. Now we just need a free weekend to do it.

Rocky Mtn Saver: 2/30 NSD, 1/30 CSD. Yesterday turned into an unexpected NSD, which was nice. A friend picked up lunch since we were using my car. And unless something drastic changes this afternoon, it should also be NSD. Maybe I can get three in a row! That'd be frugal-cool.

red- You can do it. Start looking at a reasonable schedule. Look at your budget. You already know that by staying home you will save on daycare. Perhaps you can get a family member to go with you to shop or watch the babies while you knock out some proofing or editing. My grandmother worked from home for years. She also raised 4 of her own kids, 1 grandchildren, helped raise 2, took care of 1, and took care of 4 more during military rotations. You are a great planner. Therefore you will succeed. Maybe you can even write a book about it

Today was a big ol' spend day. I needed groceries bad. That is all I bought today. Yesterday I needed to go get new shorts for my daughter. She was wearing old ones that were way toooooo short! I was afraid her girly bits were going to fall out. Tomorrow should be a NSD. I don't plan on going anywhere. I have my ham, potatoes, asparagus, and dessert for our Easter dinner. So...fingers crossed that I get another NSD tomorrow.

red: Congrats! I was scared when preggers with DS#1 that it would be more then one! There are mothers of mulitple's clubs that you may want to look into. My cousin had twins and she joined, I think they do some swapping etc so it can be helpful. I was also tired with the first trimester for all pregnancies. After the first I couldn't nap between working and the other kids!
Been busy with kids and the beautiful weather. Had family over for Easter today, it was a blast. Kids had fun looking for eggs in the morning and afternoon.
azmom: Make sure you are careful with that leg, the last thing you need is to fracture it again and be laid up even longer! My bills came in for my shoulder, out of pocket is going to be $410 YUCK!
So far this month we are in the hole $900 for the car and truck, the van is in but don't know how much that will cost plus it will need tires so around $450 for those and $410 for medical. Oh joy..... Thank God for the tax refund!

Rocky Mtn Saver: 4/30 NSD, 1/30 CSD. I had three NSD's in a row! Today might keep the streak alive, we'll see if it goes to plan. I brought leftovers for lunch and I'm not planning to run errands after work, so it just might work.

I'm baaaaack Whew, 16 days of travel was both awesome and hectic. Unfortunately I'm home for just a short time before my next trip out of state. And I'm dog sitting for a few weeks too. I could honestly ramble on for weeks about this trip, there was so much packed in but I'll spare y'all Mostly I'm trying to sort through all of my papers, do laundry, restock my fridge and stay busy with clients because I miss mr blue - spending 11 days together (most of them 15 hours a day) was such a blessing but now I'm pouty that he's gone. Sigh. Time to buck up and get *&$# done. p.s. the first of 4 articles I wrote was published on Forbes Women last week!!! If you have my website addy it's the first link on the Resources page.

mizbear - thanks for the vote of confidence! I like the book writing idea! And DH works at home and we've already talked about maybe him being on duty in the mornings and working a bit more at night, and then I'll take over for afternoons and evenings. We'll see how that goes... getting pricing info for daycares and seeing what's what. I know our families will be there to support and help us too, at least in the very beginning. I don't know how to change one diaper, let alone two! lol.
rocky - great job!!
mitten - glad you had a nice Easter!

Update: 6 NSDs 1 CSD
Spent today at home where I caught up on school work, did a little crafts and just relaxed before the back to work routine begins again early tomorrow morning.
Hope all of you have a good week. I will check in when I can. Gooo night all.

Today was a big old spend day but I'm hoping the rest of the week will be NSD. I went out and bought gas, groceries and had my chiropractic visit. I should be set with food for awhile and I'm meeting Mom on Wed to take her dogs for a few days. Maybe the only thing I'll need is dog food!
I made a nice long to do list on the declutter thread since I have a lot of little things to do around here now that I'm home. Hoping the rain will stay away another day so I can mow the lawns and pull weeds.
Okay, better get ready for tomorrow and head to bed - going to the gym early.

Rocky Mtn Saver: 5/30 NSD, 1/30 CSDWell, I kept the NSD streak alive for 4 days -- Go me! I managed to fight the urge to buy a snack yesterday evening while out running errands, solely because I really wanted to earn that fourth NSD. Today will end the streak for now, but the month is young!

Red- I know its far off from knowing, but if you end up with a boy, I have some stuff I could send you. I only had a singleton, but everyone I know gave me stuff and their hand me downs. In fact, the couple that lives in the apartment below us has twin boys about a year older than DS and they give us stuff as they outgrow it. So a few things I actually have two of lol. If you're interested. It is just one less thing to have to buy!
I can't wait to hear your story unfold : )
