It really sucks to see this I kind of liked Chris because he actually donated nearly his entire stockpile the first time he was on the show. It was nice to see someone make use of the products instead of letting them collect dust in the basement. I wonder if he knew they were counterfeit when he bought them? You would think coupons for free tide would throw up a red flag for any couponer, but I would like to hope that a ministry student of all people would be more honest than that.

There have been multiple instances where that show has featured couponers that committed fraud. I can't understand why it is still on the air. I stopped watching it a long time ago. I feel as though every couponer that has been featured is a traitor. The longer that show is on, the greater the likelihood that the good deals will continue to diminish and maybe even come to a screeching halt. The value of coupons is decreasing as are the life of each coupon per the expiration date. The drug chain deals have decreased dramatically. Many stores that once offered doubled coupons are no longer doing so. I see a trend here. ETA: I just went to frugalsuz's blog to check out the deals for this Sunday (3/11). This is the first time that I can remember that she lists NOTHING for WAGs or RA. I rest my case.

Just went through tomorrow's Wags and CVS ads. Absolutely NOTHING! I need tissues so I'll probably use some of my RR's to get them at $.99 each at Wags, but other than that... nothing. I did have a pretty good trip last night at CVS. I went to one in a bigger town so I was happy they had everything. 3 Fructis at 3/$10 2 SoftSoap at 2/$7 4 Clairol Hair Color (B3G1F) - rainchecks for $5.99 each Used 3 $1/1 Fructis, 2 $1.50/1 Softsoap, and 4 $2/1 Clairol Had a $5 beauty reward and a $10 GC My OOP was $8.14 and I got $8 in EB's. Now I'm working on the $15 P&G rebate. Glad we have a while to complete that since there's nothing this week worth adding to it.

New Safeway issues:
Some previous ones are just my (VERY old) computer.
I had a coupon for a FREE breakfast sandwich. Yesterday I went for one. 1st problem was deli person took it out of the prepared case = cold. Sign states CLEARLY fresh, prepared to order. I insisted he do so. Came out reasonably warm, bread slightly burnt on several edges and part of the egg still COLD. It was also tasteless compared to a McD or Burger King cheap breakfast sandwich. NEVER again.
Meat Dept. Hit the clearance meat. Had 2 pkg of good grade ground beef w/Fri sell by date in bin but NO discount. Ask mgr. He hit them w/30% off coupon. Asked if I wanted and I replied not at 30% off. He responded: maybe later. Left them there. I hope he had to toss them although I suspect he might just relabel at FULL price w/new date. He already sells other meat/deli pre-pk items past the preprinted mfg sell by/exp date.

I wish someone could entice JMo back here. I really do miss her and her stories. Jenny must have/nearly have graduated college by now. Don't need her shops/deals. We already find enough amongst us.

Yep, just as I thought. Everyone is in on it: the couponers who want some fame, the stores, and TLC doesn't care as long as people tune in. Quite frankly, I'm surprised that people are still tuning in. I'm sure from one episode to another it's the same old shit....just a different smell.

This was on a site for Walgreens. I don't have one so I have no idea but I HTH. Right Guard Total Defense Body Wash $4.49 - Buy 1, Get 1 FREE Catalina offer starting 2/26-3/18 Right Guard Total Defense 5 Products Buy 2 - Get $1.00 Buy 3 - Get $2 Buy 4 - Get $4 Buy (4) Right Guard Total Defense 5 Body Wash 13.5oz $4.49 B1G1 FREE TOTAL = $8.98 Use (2) $3/2 Right Guard Total Defense 5 Deodorant or Body Wash (if you already printed) Pay $2.98, Get $4 Catalina Final Price: $1.02 MONEY MAKER!!I was going to do the Coke 12 packs deal at CVS. With the 2 $1/2 coupons and the $5 ECB for purchasing 5 it works out to $1.60 a 12 pack of Coke. That is the best deal I have seen on it in a LONG tome.

Beachbum - I've looked at the Coupon Network/Catalina site and I can never seem to figure out what Catalina are running in my area and for how long. I have a good stockpile of bodywash, but would do that deal if they have any stock.
How do you find out what Catalina are out there?

Go to the tab that says Yourbucks offer and that is where you should see the catalina deals for your area, although not all of them are listed.

I followed the link in Jill's comments to file a complaint with the FCC regarding that.show. maybe it will help. once a store is out a total at/above the federal felony limit prosecution of the show and or participants will happen. unfortunately, due to big-time legal depts, it will probably land on the participants & their lives will be H-E-L-L after that.

Thanks to Murpath, Twinmamma and MissPT. I got your envies!!! Sorry but I can't help with Walgreens anything. I don't think I have ever even been inside a Wags. There is only one that I have ever been near so I don't have any clue how anything with that store works. I was just reading here about thema nd then next saw that deal so thought someone here might find it useful. Sorry I can't be more help.

I've pretty much given up on the major grocery stores and am shopping the smaller stores. No coupons involved today. I shopped Aldi and the local butcher shop. Meijer meat department has been a terrible disappointment. I'm not sure what is up with the store closest to home. I've seen BROWN hamburger, past expiration date without clearance tags and funny colored chicken breasts....um, no thanks. Produce has been over priced and over ripe. I've kept to their dairy, deli, frozen and pet food isles. I also pay very close attention to expiration dates. Safeway is one town over in either direction, but from the comments I'm reading, I don't think it's worth the gas. (Gas was $4.09 yesterday, today it's $4.24!!!) Thank goodness for a decent stockpile.

ok so I wanna do this deal tomorrow at CVS but i am unsure if it will spit out the EB or not...
here, the deal is Coke or Dr Pepper $2.88/12 pack.
5 Dr. Pepper @ $2.88/ea = $14.40...will it spit out the EB?

Does it say it's part of the spend 15, get 5 deal? You need to get to 98% of the threshold to get the EB, so, no, 14.40 isn't enough.

Yeah, they are apart of that deal but instead of being $3, they are $2.88...so what I am gonna do is buy 5 DR pepper, use 4 peelie coupons that i grabbed from the commissary and get a fuze drink that is a $1 so it will be $15.60 before coupons

A lot of people say it does if it is close. Some even say it rounds to the next dollar. I've been told at my store that it has to be exact or over.
Can you do 5@$2.88 each and then get a 2 liter for $.99 that they also show in my ad? (Yours may be different) Then you'd be sure to go over and get the EB.
edited... looks like you already figured that one out! Enjoy your pop. I wish we could keep it in the house. My kids would seriously live off of it if I kept it in the house.

Dogmom I, too, do about 75% of my food shopping at Aldi & my independent stores. I happen to pass Safeway 3x/week so I do stop to check clearance, buy loss leaders & J4U stuff. I make it a habit to check use by/expire dates everywhere because of issues at several stores. I assume you are in/near Arlington Heights. Do you shop at Valli? I sometimes get there if I am going to DD1.
We have 12 Meijer stores in metro Chicago. 9 follow the corp ad. 3 do NOT. Guess which I have. It is very close to my Dad’s apt so not going out of my way but I have never had issues w/quality on meat or produce.
I have several really great produce stores. I was at the best Fri and here is what I bought: Pita bread 0.50 Romaine 0.50/head (1.5 lb) Asparagus 0.59/lb Green beans 0.49/lb Strawberries 0.59/1 lb pkg

Freesalsa/Suziq,
99c stores is now also carrying the Earthbound organic farms spring mix 4 oz for 99c. HTH
SW shoppers,
There is a 1$ off any 16 oz Kens dressing in this week's insert and it's on sale this week for 1.29 with the In Ad Q. Makes for cheap salad dressing.

Holly, I'll have to check out Valli again. Last time I was there was when they were remodeling. It was quite a mess, not to mention very crowded. I like getting in and getting out. Thanks for the reminder. It's sort of on the way home from work... By the way, nice shopping trip! Twinmama, very funny. I certainly can relate! Beach, what are you going to do with all that cream cheese?

beachbum - that is a hell of a lot of cream cheese lol what are you gonna do with it?? Well it isn't reg cream cheese. It is dark choc cream cheese. The exp dates on it are all pretty good. Most are Aug with a couple in July. I have a second fridge so storage isn't a problem but I guess I could freeze it if I thought I had to. My DD has been spreading it on her toast in the morning and LOVING it!!! Truthfully though I have this thing in my house called teenagers. Trust me very little food goes to waste! I was thinking of using it in place of reg cream cheese to make a choc cheese cake though. ETA the dark choc phila indulgence was a triple dip cat this past week. The deal was buy $25 of the list and get $20 in cats back. But the Phila Dark Choc Ind CC counted towards a Phila cat plus a Kraft cat. For every 5 I bought in one trip I got $4 cat from Kraft, $3 from Phila and was halfway to the munch mania deal of $20 in cats. So for every 5 I bought they cost $13.50 before coupons I got about $17 in cats. ;D
