If things were spiraling out of control that number would be shooting to 740k like it did in 2008. Are things great? Not yet. But we are not falling off a cliff either. K for Jar. This country has been through a lot worse than this.

Yes I know. I just gave a rundown (in my Decoy 409 POST) of the BARBECUE attendance numbers in the old unemployment claims. I posted from June 2011 - Aug. (todays) number with some very interesting looks from varied sources.

Luckily that 395k from last week was adjusted up to 399k so that this weeks initial claims at 408k is only a 9k increase. Whew...

Lucky they have ignorance (or what is left of it out here) believing in this crap.
But that ignorance has been depleting at a super pace and that is a good thing.

The one number never listed is how illegals impact the labor market.

jarhead that's funny!!! I am laughing at this one liner back a page, "Gold dropped $30 an ounce when the number was announced." I am not seeing that drop today, what happened? Oh that's right,I did state that ignorance and applying stupidity to casino players was not a thing that actually holds credibility as to believeing the ones feeding that horse crap to the players.

"MarketWatch - Greg Robb - ý57 minutes agoý WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - The number of people who applied for unemployment benefits last week rose back above the 400000 level in the latest week, adding to worries about the health of the economy" Ok,we are all ready for another storytime favorite as to this decline of uc claims and a busting out job market.

I neglected to post up last weeks numbers.
Last week only revised up 4k. Even with factoring in the revision, claims only got 9k worse. I suppose some could look at a decrease in the rate at which the claims are rising as good news...

3500 over several months isnt to bad and Buffett did it because he knows BAC will come back strong and he will make money.
Even at 80+ he is a smart guy!

33% of the current weeks drop due to revision of prior week. Nice to see claims headed in the right direction though. Would be even nicer to see them stay that direction for a few months.
