Well here we go, about a month a way from the first ever commercial space flight. Business picking up where socialism has failed, and why not? A new discovery has just shown us that there are BILLIONS of planets out there!!!

just before midnight AEST on May 7th (the year of our lord 2012) the SpaceX company will make the first truly commercial launch and recovery of a space vehicle. The 330 tonne ‘Falcon 9’ rocket lifting off the pad along with its Dragon re-entry capsule will have all been designed, built and operated by this private company. The vehicle will be doing a job for NASA, but the entire thing is run by SpaceX in a first attempt at doing what companies do – making money (at an altitude of around 1.3 million feet).

Here we go, it's amazing how much science fiction becomes reality, and how much hasn't; it's also interesting how the relativity with reality works here.

It is absolutely awesome that a commercial supply flight to the space station docked and astronauts walked into the supply flight from the space station. I'm flipping out, this is freaking massive. We can and are doing whatever we want. Nothing can hold us back. Holy shit this is huge.

How right you were kadee. Not only volcanoes but last year something very interesting was found in our oceans, and they went looking at it the other day.

A while back the prospect of asteroid mining started to pop up, as unbelievable as it sound, it's here! We have been discovering planets at a rapid pace since 2009, two recently discovered planets have us asking... What Might Alien Life Look Like on New 'Water World' Planets? Also very interesting, A giant mother galaxy found from the Universe's infancy "It contains stars with a total mass nearly 40 billion times the mass of our Sun, and is shrouded in a dust cloud 100 billion times the mass of Sun."  Really makes you think about how little control we truly have over our surroundings, doesn't it?
