yclept's AI thread got me thinking about all the things I read about, that are still being designed by humans.

The technology that we design, will help us design better tech; this will take us boldly, where no one has gone before.

Just look at all the commercial space flight programs, it's a lot closer than some might think. It's not about THIS world.. It's about, out of this world.

When I can't turn my CPU off with a remote I will start to worry. Until then I understand that robotics are going to take us to the places we want to go. They are trying to convince a couple of eccentric people to be the first to go to mars.. My guess is that we send more robots first.. I love how the moon landing was celebrated as a milestone, yet we land robots on mars, and people barley even notice.

A whole string of underwater volcanoes were just discovered in the southern oceans! We don't know half about the earth yet...still a long way to go before we understand! There are lots more frontiers out there...just have to figure out where they are!

So like the story above states, they have plans for that rocket that can go further, but they didn't get the help from the Russians, surprise, surprise. IMO, there is a market for some to step up and really come to market with something that can make it to the International space station.
