Without a doubt Ty!
I did some reading Sun, he did lots of investing in oil companies. I still want to know if the oil that leaks out naturally causes these same effect they are claiming is from a leak. The way a well works doesn't really hold factual evidence to the well leaking several KM away.

I luv that story, LOL. That has been making the rounds as a part of the anti-XL protests. Total fear tactic, yes us evil Canadian are going to bypass our best customer, and closest allies. Not going to happen. I have been saying it for a long time, on here and other places, all of NA is going become oil exporters.
The Bakken is huge, and the push for NG cars is on! There is the eagle ford, ect, ect ,ect. Yes CDN oil will be exported, but the difference is that US refiners will make money on it, where as if we just exported it through refiners that we would have to build the US would get nothing off of what is going to be a huge part of the energy supply over the next 100 years +.
I have also pointed out a few different times that thees oil companies are all over "green" tech for the oil sands and the article I just posted outlines all that. The CDN govt wont allow these guys to sit back.

Well at least the Canadians are willing to produce oil. Even if it goes on the World Market it still helps us.

But A, uh, errr, hmmmm .... I read it on the computer so it must be true!!? Oh, wait ... I forgot there are as many sides to a story as there are stakeholders in it, eh? Jeez, who to believe anymore??? LOL, I hear ya. I always go to logic and consistency. It's the facts in the stories I look for. The oil sands have really been expanding in the last 20 years. As they have grown, the US's CDN oil consumption has grown. That's the thing that this story over looks. Once the oil hits TX, it's US oil. Bought on the open market from CDN producers, SU, TLM, HSE, ect. The Bakken in ND will also be part of this line, there isn't enough pipe in ND, that's why TSO is upping its shipping on rails next year. There will be loading spots for US extracted oil on the XL line as well. Then we get into the NG part, there are several articles with factual evidence of NG autos, NG power, ect posted. As the US switches over to NG for autos, US oil consumption will slow. However, developing economies demand will not slow down. There is new finds in TX, and PA that we all know about, there is going to have to be somewhere for all this new oil to go. This will naturally lead to selling it to the developing world. Then into the part about the growing renewal resources part of it. This is why I think we will find balance, because Canada produces 2/3 of its power from Hydro and 6% from Biomass. ( the VC, likes the idea of Hydro dams that pull water into storage that can produce more oil from algae ) www.canadainternational.gc.ca/washington/bilat_can/energy-energie.aspx?lang=eng We(NA) are finding balance with our energy production, while the developing world need lots of fossil fuels to keep growing fast enough to keep their people happy. The oil here will go there to help them out, that is why I believe that all of NA will become oil exporters in the future. Especially when you look at China saying that they are holding off on Iranian development because the don't want to piss their American Allies off. Out of the region but they still love them some USD, no matter where it's coming from.. WE win!

I agree there is tension. Harper seemed pretty confident that Obama would sign off. I guess we will see. It's an interesting quote. I don't know the whole back story but I am assuming there is for a lack of better word, conspiracy, to drain water from the midwwest?
I think sometimes just random ideas get spun out of context, however, it will be 100 yrs at least before that would be an issue, I have a feeling that the pipe will be replace, moved, expanded, by then.

It's always a game with those guys.. It's like a bidding war, start with the most and more and end up with some of what you want. JMO.

It's all good. What it seems like to me, is a bunch of bureaucrats trying to appease all these people out there that are against all this development.(while lining their pockets no conspiracy there, just reality) Protesters and all the bleeding hearts that think that the USA and it's corporations are the source of every problem ever, and the inventor of greed, bands like Peal Jam, they all keep this going big time. If people would wake up and realize that business is why we are here they would really feel a lot better. The reality is this, IMO... Which of the two houses below belongs to the environmentalist? www.canadafreepress.com/gore-bush-house.htm I think the tailings ponds need to be developed properly, just like the CAPP is doing, and I think that CO2 capture is good because it can regenerate oil fields.. Making more oil available, plus you can use the Co2 to make Algae that could make oil products. There is nothing wrong with recycling!!

I built a 60 acre subdivision that took me 3 to 4 years just to get through the County crap and only 2 1/2 years to sell out the lots.
