And how many jobs would be created here at home if we just used NG to its fullest potential?

Sun that one article about Iran is hilarious, that should be on the Free enterprise thread.. Talk about a nice tactic.. Yes we will break the UN treaty, we will find some way to pay, we promise.. Now... nope sorry, there are UN treaties in place...

I got a big laugh out of it too. It's just one way to get free oil.

I have a feeling if this pipe happens it will sent the oil markets lower. However, that's looking more and more like a big if, this time around. Looks like 2014.

I don't mind if oil and gas get a little lower. We need a sable price but I'm afraid we are not going to get that any time soon.

I have been saying it for over a year.. Welcome to the American Renaissance!!!!!! More natural gas filling stations coming to NC for super-efficient automobiles www.newsobserver.com/2011/08/12/1408028/more-natural-gas-filling-stations.html Since there has to be a solid plan on jobs in the near future, I'm really starting to think that the 20k+ initial jobs and 100k+ after completion, Keystone XL pipeline is looking like a go for Nov.

Your looking at the wrong cycle. It was flipped a short time ago, and has grown fast. From the ashes a Phoenix will rise is what come to mind. There will always be tough times in the future. But we are in the Earths hands/space ELE now as far as all out total destruction/collapse. JMOs. That's why we need more oil right now. Because the USA is SLOWLY getting better. Plus things like China's energy consumption is up 10% in the first seven months of the year. Which will help the USA get better. China is helping Africa get better, which will help China, which will help the USA, which will help the Mid east. Lots of money to be made in this freedom thing.

It's funny Ty, I have heard that a few places now.. weird huh? Oh that part Sun.. LOL, I hear ya. However, I have had this crazy notion for a while that one of the greatest stories ever told, so far anyway, is that we are getting close to running out of oil. Or that we will ever for that matter. Now that I know that oil can be made from algae. CO2 capture and storage works, and they are finding ways to make plastic from trees. I wonder if we will ever truly run out... This one is for you kman, like we were talking about last year bra, it will just become a reality, and in five years you're going to notice a difference. We have confirmation from a think tank in Boston that 2015 is the tipping point in wages and..... Another Ahamburger fantasy, slowly becoming a reality.. ;D Adios OPEC: The Americas, Not The Middle East, Will Be The World Capital Of Energy In The Future www.dailymarkets.com/economy/2011/08/17/adios-opec-the-americas-not-the-middle-east-will-be-the-world-capital-of-energy-in-the-future/

The Obama administration sold 30 million barrels of oil out of the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve @ $95-100 dollars per barrel. Now they can replace them for $82. Good trade!

Kinda like letting some banks build up reserves and lending it to them at 3x the interest that you could get else where, because you know they will need it down the road.

It's going to be interesting. The keystone XL might not happen, but IMO TRP, will build the pipe to the border then say someone like, TSO, who is shipping oil on the rails will take it. Back to post #1. Shell is reaping the benefits of their giant floating LNG plant! Good call k4u! South Korea strikes $84 billion LNG deals with Shell www.iii.co.uk/news-opinion/news/reuters/17242

I'm not sure who Matt Simmons is. I will have to some research sun. The state department is looking at it because it's coming across an international border. A 2003 National Academies study estimated that about 980,000 barrels of oil, or about 41 million gallons, seep into the Gulf - every year. Recall that the Exxon Valdez is estimated to have spilled about 250,000 barrels. The gulf is huge and this amount of NATURAL seepage is insignificant. The reporting of the well blow out was way way over sensationalized and this is nothing but more of the same. After all this was supposed to be the worst disaster in the history of the ecological world. Sorry, did not happen. That's the thing right there wxyz. Was this going on before the spill? We know for sure that CH4 is naturally releasing into the air all the time as well.
