I am seeing that neither Medicare are various pharmacies have approval yet for the new Covid vaccine to be covered. So a little early to get the vaccine. Although I get to wait even longer. Crap. I want to get mine, along with the RSV, at my appointment on Oct 3rd. I'd like to get them before I fly to Disneyland on the 9th and get exposed to all those people. Thanks for the info!

From the article I read, all should be well by a week from now. The systems have not caught up with each other.
From what was written here, you might need to check on the RSV.

Good Evening Kids! It ended up being a full day for a Sunday. We went to church as usual. Then, DD scored a 25% off coupon on any purchase from our local dog food store, and since our supply was getting low, I stopped in & got both dog food & treats, enough to last a month (at least I hope). I'm probably going to need to get at least one of the dogs in for a nail trim this week. I don't know how they grow so quickly.

Don't you sometimes wish your nails grew as fast and strong as your pets? Althoug, not the same look, or shape! I don't want dog nails, on my fingertips! Haha

I was thinking the same thing. I wrote myself a note, to inquire about the RSV tomorrow. (I'll call both the dr's office and my insurance provider. I don't want any surprises. I'm not fond of surprises, of any kind.) Thanks! How are you feeling these days? You've sure had a lot to deal with, in recent months. Do you still love your new bathroom?

My Covid is not gone but it's better. I still test positive but I still have symptoms. This variant is not easy but it's not going to kill me.
Once again, without my shower, I would not be able to keep myself clean at the moment because last week I had so much nausea and vomiting, which made me very weak. As expensive as it was, it was worth every penny for me with all the illness that has happened to me this year.
My doctor told me when I got the Shingrix vaccine that Medicare did not cover it. At the time, that was correct but my health insurance did. At that time, they said they cover all vaccines.
I know in Iowa that I have to get the RSV vaccine through a doctor which means they have to prescribe it. Before I get that, I will call the insurance company. I don't know if Medicare covers that vaccine.

TheOtherMe it sounds like your shower remodel was a good investment for you. I heard back from the doctors office and they said at this time they don't have any of the RSV vaccine and don't when they will receive some.

Great news. As of yesterday, it still wasn't in some places. I think it was all timing.

I just spoke to my Medicare Insurance company and was told RSV will be covered under Part D/Prescription and Covid will be covered under PartB/Medical. I just called BC-BS. They received an update today that the new vaccine is covered between Medicare and them. Also said RSV is covered by them. So when I get well enough to get vaccines, I can get the flu and RSV. I am thinking of holding out for Novavax for Covid since I have to wait anyway.

Good Evening Kids! It's been another long Monday, but it ended o.k. DD is going on her first plane trip tomorrow, and because she has to be to the airport so early, I dropped her off at a friend's place tonight.

I told BC BS I have Covid, so I won't be getting a vaccine soon. The CSR said that they will reimburse me for Covid tests that I purchase. That I did not know about. He kept talking about how my federal employee BCBS coordinates with Medicare Part A and B. I think I'm going to get some. The ones I have been using are expired and I'm almost out.

I'm glad you don't have to get up and take her to the airport. I hope her trip goes well and she enjoys it. I bet she's excited. My stress is building, as I think about flying to California next month. I'm trying not to think about it. It's not my favorite thing to do.

Good Afternoon Kids! I'm happy to report the plane touched down safely in Toronto, and I can't wait to hear about DD's experiences there when she gets back. I spent the morning with my car in a repair shop. Nothing crazy expensive, but it did cost just under $400.

Ask your daughter how long it took her to clear customs, please. DN1 said they got Nexus because it was taking 3 hours in a crowded hall to clear customs. That's one of many reasons I don't want to fly to Toronto.
That and sharing a room with the Toddler.

I'm assuming you meant Covid, TheOtherMe. She is a YMer thru & thru, and she warned me she wouldn't be in contact much, just because she was afraid of getting tagged for international fees. I will check with her when she's back in town next week to see what she has to say about customs.

Yeah, $400 isn't crazy expensive, for a car repair, but it's not cheap either. Hopefully, you don't need more.

Thank you busymom All I know is DN1 says Toronto Customs is not together at all. Most likely coming back to the Twin Cities, she will clear US Customs in Toronto.

Good Evening Kids! It's been a long day. I did a lot of errands today, like 2 different stops for groceries, putting gas in the car, etc. DS got some paperwork in the mail that I'm going to have to make a call on tomorrow to figure out.
I need to call the handyman & set an appointment. The tile we ordered did come in, and we've already picked it up days ago, but I just haven't had the time to deal with it.

Morning All!
I have tea steeping and am waiting for a plumber to arrive at the condo this morning. Probably going to have to replace the whole toilet including the wax ring. I have slways had some problems with the half bath/laundry room but yesterday took the cake for me. Earliest appointment was today between 8-12 AM. Called somewhere else first and they told me next week Thursday! I was like No, that won't work for me and thank you anyways.
So I will attempt to box items up and be happy I am looking at a end date next month on being out of the condo.

Once, before moving into a one and a half bathroom apt, I found an issue with the toilet in the half bath. I contacted the office and reported said issue. No one came to fix it. After several phone callls and many weeks, I used a plunger on it. The issue continued, periodically, the whole time I lived there. After I moved, the people in the apt below mine, complained about a leak in theiir ceiling. Finally someone went out and determined the issue was coming from the toilet in my half bath. They tried to make me responsible for the repairs to both apts. Nope. I didn't go for that. It made me furious that they even tried. That place had terrible mgmnt and maintenance.

Our bathroom has interlocking tile that was installed just before our move several years ago. Somehow, one of the tiles shifted & popped out of place. We didn't have any extra pieces big enough to replace it, but by some miracle we found the same tile was still being sold, so we bought some. Now the handyman will have the difficult job of popping out the "bad" tile and installing the new. I hope he doesn't have to take apart a large part of the floor to get it done, but at least it's along an edge.

We had drizzly rain all day long. It is supposed to be cooler but nice this weekend and then a chance of rain returns next week. I had to go to DMV today to clean up a mess with the title on my RV so since I was there I also got my real ID. I have no plans to go anywhere, and I do have a passport, but now I will have the real ID if it is needed.

I broke down this morning and turned the heat on and am glad I did. The extra blanket is definitely going on the bed this weekend.

Good Morning Kids! I got a phone call from DD this morning, a quick one. I had to laugh when she told me they'd eaten at Tim Hortons several times. Apparently, the coffee IS that good. It's gloomy here today. I'll be mostly hanging around the house, waiting for the handyman, since he hasn't yet messaged me on what time he'll arrive.
