Slept until about an hour ago. I ate eggs that I fixed. All I can tell you is they were hot as I can't smell or taste.
I definitely have a ways to go.
Last evening and right now, I think I will live. There are times every day when I am sure that I will not.
I can't talk because I start coughing and that's totally miserable.

When one of DH's siblings caught the virus (no, she didn't get vaccinated), she had difficulty eating, because her sense of taste made every food taste bad. Sending you healing thoughts & prayers! |

I have come down with a cold. I think I just got too tired this past weekend. Mainly my nose is running, with very little coughing which is usually caused by not blowing my nose enough. I feel better today than I did yesterday and I have tomorrow off of work so hopefully I can rest enough to pretty much kick it to the curb.

I got home from my trip to my hometown on Friday afternoon. I didn't feel good by the time I got home. I felt worse by Saturday so I tested myself and was Covid positive.
The case I had in March 2022 was nothing compared to this one.
It's hard to eat when you can't taste or smell the food.

Best decision ever to take all of today off. I feel so much better this morning. The extra sleep and just sitting around in my bathrobe this morning is what I needed. My nose is hardly even running anymore. Later this morning I need to head over to DD's. We are taking the kids to the rodeo this afternoon. There is a children's performance this morning and the kids school takes the entire school, except the preschool, to the children's rodeo. We will pick up DGS1 from preschool at lunch time and then head up to the rodeo. DD will collect DGD1 at the rodeo grounds so she can spend the afternoon with us.

Cool and 60s with rain today. We will go back into the low 80s at the beginning of next week and hopefully back to the 70s by the end of the week.

TheOtherMe I hope this finds you doing better. I know a few people hit by this more than one time. It's like, "what's up? Once was definitely not enough or something?"  It's raining at the moment. I finished work and went outside to weed for a whole 20 minutes. At least I filled the bucket. Will do more tomorrow. I did clean out the kitchen in preparation to wash the floors tonight. I can weed again tomorrow.
I will see family on Sunday, so no time to really do much around the house then. Dinner is leftovers tonight.

This is my second bout with Covid. The other was in March of 2022.
This is the new variant with all kinds of new and varying symptoms running through your body. I just want them to run all the way out and not leave me with Long Covid.
I can't even get the new vaccine right away. I guess I'm considered immune for a bit.
I never want this virus again and there are so many people who will not get vaccinated.
I am 6x vaccinated, although it's been a while since the last one. I know they are not permanent and I couldn't find a provider who would give a vaccine after #6.

I have my flu and RSV vaccines so far; COVID is next month (my pharmacy does not have the newest booster yet). Obviously, I am NOT following the recommendations of the goofy surgeon general of Flori-duh when it comes to vaccines. I am getting mine. Anyone who gets in my way of getting a vaccine receives a round kick and a right hook to their privates.  Floors are clean and polished; they look fab.

I just booked my Flu and RSV vaccinations for this Sunday, then the following Sunday I will get the updated Covid. Walgreens website is showing that they will have the updated Covid booster as of Monday the 18th. They also would have allowed me to book all 3 at the same time but that seemed to be too much so I will do 2 and then 1.

Yesterday DD brought the kids over for the last swim of the season. DGS2 was showing me his owie finger. I guess he followed DD out to the storage shed that is part of building where she parks her car. He picked up a mouse trap and learned what they do   . This was followed by ice cream sandwiches on the back patio. |

Hello my super Saturday gang! I did get a swim in, and a Walmart stop. Also weeded some of the yard before lunch and rain showed up. I do plan to wash my car later, weather allowing. Then again the National Weather Service just issued a special statement, so that wash may not happen.

Good thing I ran this morning - brunch was huuuuuuge! But actually excellent. Even the desserts, which are usually a second thought on a buffet, were very good.
Got home and did about 45 minutes of weeding. About to storm again, so I came inside. Not hungry for dinner (which is why I went out and did yard work; just to burn off some calories). I will probably fix DH a burger and fries and a chicken patty for myself - no fries. I had potatoes at brunch.

Well I got my flu shot but was unable to get my RSV vaccine. The insurance wouldn't cover it. The pharmacy said I may need to go through my doctor to get that. I will e-mail them shortly to find out..

I am seeing that neither Medicare are various pharmacies have approval yet for the new Covid vaccine to be covered. So a little early to get the vaccine.
Although I get to wait even longer.
