And a good Good Friday (and Passover) to my peeps. We did chicken and potatoes and brown sugar-stewed carrots for dinner tonight.

Did you ever get a chance to try those Stouffer's Lasagna Bites you mentioned some time ago toomuchreality, and if so, how were they? Sorry, I forgot to tell you. Ha! I burned a batch of them a few days ago! (Wed) LOL They aren't horrible. I ate them. But I would not buy them again. You're not supposed to microwave them, which for me, is a big con. There wasn't anything about them that really stood out in a good way, I didn't think. I hoped that they'd be great for lunch, for the toddlers. But I'd say no. I wouldn't recommend them. If you try them, I'd be curious what you think.

Good Morning Kids! I'm still tired from our long road trip yesterday, and you'll get a kick out of what we were up to. We drove out of state & picked up a puppy. ![](https://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff155/JiminiChristmas/ymamsmiles/dog.png) It's a girl!! And she's tiny. In fact, we got Speedy at the same age, and this little girl is over 2 pounds lighter than he was. And, this little girl is a snuggler. She's a sable corgi. I wish Sugi was here, as she'd help me post pictures. She is just a little love.

Awww puppy love ![](https://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff155/JiminiChristmas/ymamsmiles/dog.png) . That sounds like a fun road trip. My grumpy old men are back at it, only this time I'm not going stand take it. They are going to get some push back. The one guy showed up last night to tell me that the other guy had decided that it was time to seal up the fence. The gate would be going back up and it would be chained up with that gentlemen holding the key. If I wished to use the gate I would need to call him to have him unlock the gate. The guy delivering the news agreed that was unreasonable so he was going to lock the gate up but get me a copy of the key. I hate confrontation with a passion but I will put on my big girl panties and am going to walk over to that guys house today and tell him that it is my property and he has no say in my fence. That I am legally entitled to have a fence and if I wish my fence to be all gates that is my option. There is also no requirement that my property be fenced and if I wished to completely tear down the fence I would be well with in my rights. I may even push it and tell him if he puts a chain around the gate that he will be hearing from my lawyer. I'm going to make home made cinnamon rolls for Easter. I may take him over some to show I come in peace but will not be pushed around.

I'm kind of surprised about not microwaving them. I microwave their regular lasagna and vegetable one with no problem and they taste just as good as if in the oven. Not as good as home made of course, but good enough to keep buying them.
It's a moot point at the moment though. None of the stores around here has the "Bites". If and when I do find some and try them, I'll let you know how they were

You are going to have so much fun with the new addition and will be laughing your butts off at the antics the two of them will be doing when they are playing together
I think if you ask Moon or Chiver to help you post pictures, either one of them would be more than happy to do it.

Hello peeps! Took DH to a car show, but he was only good for a little over an hour (it was hot out there). Came home, snacked and laundry is going at the moment.

I'm baking a batch of brownies to keep the menfolk out of the pie that I'll make a little later. With the puppy pick-up on Friday, I completely forgot about coloring eggs. DD is having a busy day today, so maybe I'll let the "kids" color eggs tomorrow. The problem is, I'll have to kennel up the dogs, each in their own kennel, so none of the eggs "disappear". Speedy likes to push his nose over the edge of the table, and the kitchen counter, to see if he can reach what's there. Makes me glad I don't have taller dogs.

I was surprised that you aren't supposed to microwave them too, because like you, I microwave their other types of lasagna with no problem. But that's why I burned the bites earlier this week. Without thinking, I looked at the instructions to see how long to cook them, then put them in the microwave. I didn't notice that the time was not for cooking in the microwave, or the regular oven. It was for another type of cooking. Oops! How's your day going? Well, I hope.

It's snowing, but thankfully not sticking. My cinnamon rolls are done and now cooling. The pie crust is in the fridge chilling. I still need to put together the carrot casserole and then bake the pie.

Had my talk with the grumpy old men, not sure if I got my point across, but they both agreed to not chain the fence. That probably only applies to today, but we shall see. The older of the two guys hasn't gotten over the fact that the neighbor 3 owners ago put in the gate and started using it without asking. I told him that was my property and I didn't want it chained. He said if there got to be too much traffic he was going to chain it. There is no reason to have a lot of traffic. I did ask point blank if he had an issue with me rolling my wheelbarrow up and down the lane. It is a lot easier on my back and knees to use the road then to push it through the yard. He said that was fine the wheelbarrow wouldn't cause potholes. I do think I'm going to talk with a lawyer, again, and see what options are available.

If it's your property, Sharon, why do the neighbors get to dictate how the road is used.
Is there an easement of some kind? Is this like a shared alley?
I don't understand why your neighbors think they get to chain it shut?

If it's your property, Sharon, why do the neighbors get to dictate how the road is used. Is there an easement of some kind? Is this like a shared alley? I don't understand why your neighbors think they get to chain it shut? It is an easement on the neighbors property. There are three properties stacked and this easement road allows the two back neighbors to have access to their property. My property runs alongside the easement road but isn't specifically noted in the easement. The lawyer I spoke with before indicated there may be some legalities other than being listed on the easement that would give me the right to use the road, but I have been trying to work it out with the neighbors without resorting to letters from lawyers. This road has a name and the two properties in the back have that road name as their address. Both guys insist it isn't a county road and they pay taxes on that property, but I wonder.
I guess two property owners ago a pastor owned this property and was always having church events out at the house and the church people would park on the sides of this lane and block the access. I can see why they would be upset about that. I told them I don't know enough people to invite over that anyone would block the road. They are grumpy old men who dwell on the past. The one guy is worse than the other one. I also constantly get conflicting stories about who is upset and who is upset at the moment. I tend to believe the young man more than the older man. The older guy just goes on and on about the person who put the gate in originally and the pastor who blocked the lane.

I think I understand better.
I can see not being happy if the pastor was having a lot of church events with lots of cars using the road as parking but that isn't what you intend to do.
I know on my sister's farm road, which is a county road, they do tell the neighbors if they are having big events, but it's usually graduation parties, etc., that will have a lot of people coming and going. They do it as much to have the neighbors watching for cars that are not used to gravel roads so the neighbors will slow down. I actually can't think of anything where my sister felt the need to do that since her youngest son graduated high school. They also own the land across the lane and those tenants were told their lane would be blocked so to get their car out. No issue since it 4 times since they have lived there.
DN3 is thinking of having his wedding there under "their" tree. If that happens, I'm sure she will let the neighbors know about that.
When I was out this afternoon, several driveways were full of cars as out of town family has come back for the weekend. They do park right in front of our joint mail box and that does irk me. But not enough to make a big issue out of. It's just for holidays and it happened when the neighbor's wife died. I am sure he needs to see his kids and grandkids.
It does sound like your neighbors have too much time on their hands and want to make a problem that isn't there.
I would find out about who owns the road and is paying the taxes on it.

We went to the farmer's market this morning and I got cheese and corn. I will make fresh corn on the cob to go with dinner tonight. I did a spring cleaning on my closet and will do my pantry next.

Good Morning everyone. I'm so glad I decided to take all of next week off work. Even though I have been busy I can feel the work stress melting away. I'm still on call until tomorrow morning, fingers crossed the phone doesn't ring.
Mom and I are going to the cabin on the river for a long weekend at the end of the week. I hadn't really planned on going into town until early Thursday morning, then just pick up Mom and leave for the river. My plans may have changed to going in Wednesday evening. Biden is flying into Portland on Thursday and whenever a president flies in the traffic gets hosed. One of the freeways I need to take passes very close to the airport.
The sun is shining and the kids will be here mid day for Easter dinner.

Well, I gave Amazon a workout. Ordered clear bins, a can rack and clear containers with snap lids for the pantry. Shelves are empty and clean. Stuff should arrive by mid-week.

Thanks for serving brunch, NancysSummerSip. ![](https://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff155/JiminiChristmas/ymamsmiles/smile.gif) We actually had hot cross buns for breakfast IRL. Now we just finished a late lunch, and after ham, baked potatoes, etc, and pie, I am stuffed.

We had fresh corn and pork chops for dinner. I had frozen yogurt and fresh berries for dessert. I spent an hour outside weeding the yard this afternoon. Almost felt like summer out there.

Good Morning Kids! Puppy goes to the vet this morning for the standard health check. I think I'll call her "Lola" on the boards.
Now, if the snow would stop falling, that would help. Enough already. It's Springtime, so it needs to act like it!

We had an exciting Easter, all of adults and the youngest grandchild all slept at least part of the afternoon. DSIL slept for several hours. I guess he hadn't been feeling well all week, so was glad he was able to rest.

I shouldn't take vacation as I spend too much money. Yesterday kitty was sick and ended up with an emergency vet visit that was over $500. At least now I'm established with a vet here in our new town and I was quite pleased that they worked us in, so she could be seen. She seems to be doing better today and has eaten a little bit. She is hyper thyroid again. I had her treated for that in 2007 or 2008. They did a radioactive iodine treatment. It was the best thing ever. Unfortunately the vet who treated her is retiring at the end of May and is completely booked up until then. I spoke with him and he did give me the names of a couple other vets in the state who also do this type of treatment. Today I went and bought a new swivel glider recliner chair. I had wanted either swivel rockers or swivel gliders but wasn't able to find exactly what I wanted. For the most part I don't care for recliners because they are usually so big. This one isn't quite as big as some recliners and it was so comfortable. I was quite happy to just sit there and glide (rock). I won't get it for 4-6 months because I ordered it with custom fabric. The store only cared a cream with some flecks of light gray or a dark gray. I'm not a gray person so ordered a light tan with a little bit of a pattern in it.
