Do you have any of the revlon beauty tool Qs, misspt? I think the emery boards run about 1.25, so with the coupon they'd be .25/ each. If you bought 8 (and had enough Qs), you'd pay $2, get back your UPs and a $3 SCR. Or you can buy $5 worth for a $1.50 SCR. Just an FYI - the emery boards are not counting towards SOS. I don't know if other Revlon tools are counting. Revlon Tools is on the list, but personally I wouldn't want to fight it out with RA over the emery boards when so many other things do count this week. Also, I think you're thinking of November's SCR, which is now over. The new SCR for December starts today 11/30 and has a new Revlon SCR which is $1 for each beauty tool - limit of 2. Hope that info is helpful.

MissPT - Since you're at Gold, buy Prevacid & Maalox: Prevacid (14 ct) - $11.99 with discount = $9.59 Maalox - $4.59 with discount = $3.67 Less: Prevacid $4 VV Prevacid $4 MQ here: bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?bt=vg&tqnm=yiuochq8462558&o=92277&c=NV&p=zAnPfR5NMaalox $1.50/1 MQ from coupons.com or swagbucks.com OOP = $3.76 Receive $5 UP for buying Prevacid & Maalox AND receive your $10 UP for SOS. P.S. For those at silver, it's still a good deal - would be $5.42 OOP with a $5 UP so would only cost 42 cents and earns $10.79 toward SOS. NOTE: Only Prevacid counts towards SOS, not Maalox. I am at silver working my way to Gold.... I will have to look and see if I can get those coupons. Is the prevacid a december VV coupon? Thanks for the low OOP idea. I need all I can get, so I can try to keep my RA discounts thru next year..... ETA: I found them, thanks again.

Check your Advil pm packages from CVS BF deal. I just opened one and there's a coupon inside for $1/1 16 ct or larger. Thanks for the tip. They don't expire until 2013, so hopefully a deal will come along...

misspt: Thanks for posting re SOS at RA. I totally missed that they were doing it a different way this year. Question: is it separated by week? In other words, is the $50 spent cumulative? or does it have to be spent in the current week?
Thanks.

What am I missing? What is SOS? I know RA normally has GOS. Is Sos something different Yes, it's different. For every week between now and Christmas, they have a $10 UP wyb $50 of certain marked products. I've been meaning to get on here and post, because I wondered if you all knew about it. I've been pretty swamped, but let me see if I can post what I did to get it. First, I did not do this in one transaction, but I'm going to list it as if I did. And then I'll give some notes of explanation: Prevacid 14 ct $11.99 with gold discount = $9.59 Prevacid 14 ct $11.99 with gold discount = $9.59 Maalox (smallest bottle) $4.59 with gold discount = $3.67* Maalox (smallest bottle) $4.59 with gold discount = $3.67* 4 Bags of Hershey Kisses on sale 2/$5 = $10.00 1 Bag Brach's Nougats on sale = $1.99 Theraflu on sale = $4.99 Theraflu on sale = $4.99 2 Kleenex 240 ct tissues on sale 2/$5 = $5 4 RA Chocolate Raisins or Peanuts (on pegs) $.99 with discount .79 ea = $3.16 *Maalox does NOT count towards SOS. If you've added up what I bought (less the Maalox) you'll notice it comes to $49.31. But I got the $10 UP because I did these in separate transactions. So, when you buy the Prevacid separately, the $9.59 rounds up to $10. Here's the actual transactions I did with the coupons: Sunday: Prevacid 14 ct $11.99 with gold discount = $9.59 Maalox (smallest bottle) $4.59 with gold discount = $3.67* Less: Prevacid December VV = -$(4.00) Less: Prevacid IP (see my earlier post) = -$(4.00) Less: Maalox $1.50 IP (coupons.com) = -$(1.50) OOP = $3.76 Receive $5 UP for buying Prevacid & Maalox (Net profit $1.24) Tracking: $10 towards SOS Monday: Prevacid 14 ct $11.99 with gold discount = $9.59 Maalox (smallest bottle) $4.59 with gold discount = $3.67* Theraflu - sale price = $4.99 Less: Prevacid December VV = -$(4.00) Less: Prevacid IP (see my earlier post) = -$(4.00) Less: Maalox $1.50 IP (coupons.com) = -$(1.50) Less: Theraflu coupon from RA flu book = -$(2.00) Less: Theraflu VV (Nov I think) = -$(1.00) Less: Theraflu MQ = -$(2.00) OOP = $3.75 Receive $5 UP for buying Prevacid & Maalox Receive $2 UP for buying Theraflu (Net profit $3.25) Tracking: $25 towards SOS Tuesday: Theraflu - sale price = $4.99 4 Bags of Hershey Kisses on sale 2/$5 = $10.00 1 Bag Brach's Nougats on sale = $1.99 4 RA Chocolate Raisins or Peanuts (on pegs) $.99 with discount .79 ea = $3.16 Kleenex 2/$5 = $5 Less: Theraflu coupon from RA flu book = -$(2.00) Less: Theraflu VV (Nov I think) = -$(1.00) Less: Theraflu MQ = -$(2.00) Less: Kleenex Dec VV = -$(1.00) Less: (2) Hershey Kisses VV's (Nov & Dec) = -$(2.00) Less: (2) Hershey MQ's = -$(2.00) OOP = $15.14 Receive $2 UP for buying Theraflu Receive $1 UP for buying Kleenex Receive (2) 1 UPs for buying RA Choc Raisins/Nuts = $2 UPs Receive (2) $2 UPs for buying Hershey kisses = $4 UPs (Net cost $6.14) And....drumroll....receive $10 UP for SOS! Yaaaaay! I did this as fast as I could - I have to do things today so am busy - apologies for any mistakes. I listed q's when I knew them easily, but some you may need to look up. Long story short, if you don't mind having 2 VV accounts, you can easily do Prevacid & Theraflu twice for free after UPs and coupons. (Theraflu was Nov though, so if you didn't watch that one, you won't have that $1 VV available to you.) Ok, hope that helps someone!

I know that last year you had a month or two to spend $25-$100 (or something like that), but for the life of me, I can't remember how we got the "gift". I vaguely remember entering receipt info on the SCR site and being able to enter receipts that were not tied to my welness card. leanna: We were posting at the same time. Last year, I was able to get (3) $20 GOS certificates (or whatever they gave us) and I spent almost nothing in OOP.

Okay. I vaguely remember that cuz I didn't remember getting them in the mail. It was awesome cuz they weren't tied to a wellness card and I was able to parlay that $60 into a huge profit in UPs and later, SCRs for very little in OOP.

leanna: I want to give a shout out to you as well for all the awesome work that you do and share here regarding the deals at RA. It is nice that the gals here know that they can count on you to help them and answer any RA questions that they might have. I know that if/when I ever get back into RA, I'm going to have to start from scratch as a lot has changed since I shopped there regularly.

Leanna: Awesome job at Rite Aid! I haven't done much there lately but you came away with a nice profit.
Pubbler: I got the $10.00 cat at Meijers today for the M&M's, flour and sugar deal. I then paid $.95 for 2 packs shredded cheese, 2 rotisserie chickens, 2 packets of Hidden Valley Ranch and 1 loaf of bread. For a little over $13.00, I thought this was a good deal. I'm making stock with the chicken remains and will have a few containers of chicken for soups and casseroles.

Thanks everyone for the nice compliments! It definitely helps to have some UPs to start out with to get the SOS this week - or if you have something major you want to buy like MissPT did with the Conair. I needed to get more Kleenex, and I use Prevacid, so the scenario made sense for me. Next week 12/4, I think it's going to be harder to get SOS. But I think it's week 12/11 that there might be some good possibilities. You have the opportunity every week to earn the $10 UP (although the eligible items change).

Leanna: Let us know if/when you see any decent SOS deals at RA, I appreciate the help/tutoring.. Target: Went to target again this evening to use the $10/$50 in conjunction with the Heidi Klum fragrance MC and mobile coupon, the mobile coupon didn't come off, and I didn't have time to mess with the customer service folks at this particular store, so I am hoping I can get a decent resolution at my "usual" store. I used my $1/1 ketchup coupons, $1/1 mott's juice (on sale for 2.29/bottle), the rimmel coupons on the 2.49 mascara, the sally hansen on the 1.99 nail polish, the band aid coupons on the .97 first aid kits, etc.. to work the $10/50 to the most I could. Walgreens: Went and exchanged some more RRs from TG for the softlips, so now I have some more refreshed RRs and some Russell Stover .29 candies to add to my teacher's gifts, we have 10 different "teachers/bus drivers/day care" folks between my two sons.......

Gonna use the candy as part of teacher's gifts. Here's a deal for free Ice Mountain water. Be sure to print thru mypoints/swagbucks www.savingaddiction.com/?p=19767I JCP. In the past month, they've sent me 4, yes four $10/10 Qs. I've been using them on clearanced summer items. I'm always happy with free clothes. Misspt - thanks for the RA info. I'm a bit bummed that you have to purchase $50 worth of goods in one week. I wouldn't mind if they had a great sale on the qualifying goods though. Great score at target with the 10/50 Q. I'm wondering if I can do all those GC deals (Nexxus/Acne Free/Curel) and get the 10/50. What's the price of the Heidi Klum perfume?

I have only been receiving them about 1/3 months, but I am not a JCP card holder. At Target, the 10/50 expires 12/3, do you already have the $2/1 curel coupons for the gift card deal? The Heidi Klum is 9.99, look for the specially marked single bottle on a hanging end cap display.

Misspt - I don't have a JCP charge either, but I signed up for their mailing list a long time ago. I was pleasantly surprised to get so many Qs from them recently (snail mail), but I'm not complaining. My local store is a small store & always has awesome clearance, because most people shop at the JCP stores in the mall I haven't checked for the $2 Curel Q, but I"m hoping to find the $2.99 tubes/bottles. Bummer, I stopped using mobile Target Qs several months ago, cause my store gave me too much trouble with Qs etc. So I just stopped shopping at Target. Besides Meijer has everything I need & they always have good store Qs to go with their deals.

According to the HCW database there is a $1/1 Curel coupon that should be good for this deal, so 2.99 x2 minus the $1/1 in the 10/9 SS, will be $3.98 with a $5 GC for $1.02 profit (before tax). Combine that with the $10/$50 and any other high dollar coupons, like the $5 off several fragrances that are available at 9.99 and you could still work a deal....

dancinmama: I miss the old RA GOS too! People would just toss their receipts on the ground and I would use them to get the gift card! For the last three (?) years I had done this and was able to give the gift cards to both daughters, one of their friends and DD1's maybe, soon-to-be MIL. You would enter the receipts, just like for the SCR's, and they would mail you a letter and on the bottom was the gift certificate--$20 for $100 worth of purchases, I think. Sometimes I just hate change!

Re the Target $10/$50 gift card: do you get the $10 gift card before they begin deducting for coupons? For instance, if you were to buy two Curel lotions, the gift card award would appear on the screen and they give it to you right away before scanning other items. Would this q work that way, too, if you handed them that q first?
Has anyone done this yet?

I'm not 100% sure I am following your question, but I let them ring up all my purchases first, then handed them the "$10 GC for $50 purchase coupon" recieved my $10 GC, then moved on to the other coupons in my order. If you are using the Curel in your deal, then as they rang you up, the register would prompt the $5 GC. None of these GC could by used to pay for the final purchase price, though.

I don't see a December thread yet so I'll just post here. NATURAL/ORGANIC: Does anyone else shop at SPROUTS? The centsable shoppin stopped her matchups since she had the baby a few weeks ago (seriously, I don't know how she ever did it all before with the two kids she had) so I Googled a few others. I found couponing 101 and www.savingcentswithsense.net/2011/11/sprouts-coupon-match-ups-1130127/ but I'm not sure how detailed these are. There are Clif bars on sale this week for $1 and Luna bars I think for about the same. There are printable coupons on coupons dot com for Muir Glen and Arrowhead Mills. There is a printable at mambo sprouts dot com for Clif bars. And the Mambo Sprouts coupon book was out at Sprouts with coupons for Clif bars (to go with the sale) and Luna bars. I wish I'd had the Muir Glen coupons last week when the sale was 4/$5. I also found two dented cans marked down at Ralphs but had no coupons at the time. I doubt they're still there. I feel like I've got a better handle on meat purchases this week. I got some smelt at Jons for DH, some more turkey drumsticks and some sausage at Sprouts that weren't too expensive. He still has the packaged chicken and pepperoni I got recently so that ought to keep him for the week. He said he's cutting back on meat this week. I don't want to give anything away but we watched a (fictional) movie this weekend where a disease was spread through meat and it's got him all worried about catching death. It might be a little overreactive but if it slows down his meat consumption I'm all for it. That stuff's expensive!
