An elderly man is brutally gunned down with ketchup packets and you ladies are talking about how to make cocktail sauce. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/miserable.png) What is the world coming to, I ask you.

Now he was gunned down? I thought he was just pelted to death. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) And it would have been a more dignified death had it been jars of shrimp cocktail sauce hurled at him.

Enough with your sordid jokes. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/angry2.png) The grieving widow has enough to worry about without your saucy attitudes. Heaven knows how she's mustered up the courage to make it this far, and she doesn't relish the opportunity to listen to your thoughtless hotdogging. ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png)

I hope some of the packets were retrieved since there is a shortage of ketchup Canadians use on their spaghetti.

"ketchup on some sleep" Oh I get it. You're going to start using puns to make fun of her now, is that it? Her husband is brutally murdered and we're going to make ketchup jokes, now are we? You can be truly heartless sometimes, my dear Lassie. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/melancholy.png)

I'm still wondering what kind of pelts were involved? Snow leopard, perhaps? That would lend some beauty to this otherwise hideous situation.

Agreed, Befferz. Snow leopards skinned alive for their pelts is a thing of beauty. ![](http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff155/JiminiChristmas/smileys/button29934414.png)

Um, I didn't say anything about skinning them alive. ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) I was just saying that if pelts had to be involved, hopefully they were at least good looking, like snow leopards. Not ratty and useless, like say squirrel pelts or something.

I understand that pressure from the politically correct crowd is forcing you to backtrack on your statement now, but we all know that skinning snow leopards alive is what you meant. Truly you shouldn't be ashamed of that fact. Grabbing an uncian parasite by the tail, spinning it around faster and faster until pop!, it's lifeless innards come flying out of its disgusting spotted hide in a neat little package—the feeling of satisfaction is truly indescribable. Once the pelt has been washed clean of blood and urine, rid of all parasites, bleached and painted to look like the pelt of a less disgusting type of cat, it will sell for a pretty penny on the fur market, too. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/thumbsup.png) Nobody will understand the joy that you and I feel while pelt harvesting if we're not honest with our experiences, Befferz. What say you forget the PC crowd and stand by your admission that tearing the skin off of snow leopards is a thing of beauty? Let the true Befferz shine through. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/thumbsup.png)

Are you sure the husband is dead? I mean, the ketchup could've been mistaken for blood. The poor guy could just be in shock. Perhaps someone should pour salt in what appear to be the wounds to see if he flinches. Lord knows, he shouldn't be buried alive. ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png)

It couldn't have happened in Quebec. We consider ketchup to be an abomination. Goodness, I can't live without ketchup. What do you put on top of your poutine? ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Gravy, of course.

Unbelievable. My posts are straight as an arrow—sensible and utterly mainstream—for eleven months solid, but I mention my love of uncian pelt harvesting just once and suddenly I'm "crazy".
Yes I admit Centrifuged Uncian Pelt Extraction (CUPE) is an unusual practice. Note the key word: admit. Need I remind you that Befferz introduced the topic, tacitly declared her own involvement in CUPE, and when the social winds did so blow brazenly retracted her statements, tucked tail and ran.
Congratulations, Befferz. You may be a craven embarrassment to your fellow pelt harvesters but at least you're not "crazy", right? If you'd held true to your passions for even a second longer, you mightn't have been able to fade back into the mob, jeering at the man who supported you (at tremendous risk to his own reputation, I might add) when you declared CUPE would "lend some beauty to this otherwise hideous situation".
The others are ignorant. I can understand and forgive that ignorance. But your brazen denial has earned you a special kind of condemnation. One I think will gnaw away at your insides if you have any conscience left at all.
It's not too late to stand with me and admit that CUPE isn't crazy. Defend your passions and redeem yourself. What say you?

I thougoht CUPE was an acronym for Canadian Union of Public Employees. Won't you get into hot water for using that title?
Those Union people could get pretty upset (if you know what I mean).

Personally, I don't care for ketchup. It ruins perfectly good food. Sometimes I buy a bottle to use as base for home made BBQ sauce, but then it sits there for a couple of years, until the bottle swells up. I am with you Welts. Ketchup is disgusting. Just the smell of it makes my stomach turn.

You are correct. (Curious that you would know this little factoid.)
However, as Canada's public pelt harvesters are all members of the lesser-known Canadian Union of Public Centrifugers And Killing Experts (CUPCAKE), a.k.a. CUPE local 701, I see no feathers being ruffled.
