I have to say...I seriously despise the "talking heads". I HATE Pierre McGuire. His obsession with Cindy Crosby is just seriously creepy!

I just want the Devils to remember that they're supposed to hit the puck with the stick the whole season this year. Last year was traumatic. It was the first time since I started watching hockey in the mid-90s that New Jersey didn't make it in to the play-offs.

I'll go with Sabres/Canucks in the finals--Canucks get it done this year.

pdr - that wallpaper is pretty cool, thanks for posting it!
my B's notched their first win last night against the Lightning. good to know Thursday's hiccup wasn't indicative of anything!
as far as my predictions, I'm going with B's/Sharks for the Cup. the B's haven't made any major changes, and I see the Sharks getting fired up by being so close last year. I'm just happy that the B's won the Cup again before Jumbo Joe got his hands on it. he's made an excellent career out of being in San Jose, but he just couldn't get it done while he was here.

I feel the need to bump this thread tonight. I know there's more hockey fans in here than just me!
after starting the season with a Cup hangover, the boys have been on a tear since a game I went to on 11/1. should they hold on tonight* and the Rangers also lose, they will be in sole possession of the best record in the league, after being in the cellar as late as Halloween.
*they are currently up 6-0 on the Flames, 7 minutes into the 2nd period, and the Flames are on their second goalie. I think we're safe. ;D

I'm a huge hockey fan. Not as much as in the past, but I still keep up with some of the teams. I'm most loyal to the Flames - now if they could just get some more wins in. And Jerome Iginla rocks!

I love, love, love hockey and am a Sharks fan. They beat the Blue Jackets tonight 2-1.

And Jerome Iginla rocks! sorry, SL, it wasn't happening last night. the game-winning goal was scored about a minute into the game. final score was 9-0. tomorrow, I'm heading in to Boston to catch the game - Vancouver's coming to town for a little Cup rematch. I believe they have the best record in the West at this point, so it should be a pretty sweet game. although, I've heard that Luongo's not playing and they are already whining about the 1PM start, so who knows which Canucks team will show up to play. go B's! ;D

ah....playoffs. ;D the B's won a heartburn-inducing game in OT last night, 1-0. 1 down, 15 to go to repeat. go B's!

Ugh, the Pens are down by 2! I was thinking of getting tickets to game 5 or 7 but not sure there will be one!

Jesus. These playoffs have been brutal so far. If I thought Sunday's Flyers/Pens game was inane, tonight's hit on Marian Hossa was just downright scary. Hockey is tough, which is part of the excitement, but you never want to see someone being carted off on a stretcher.

I thought I was watching a boxing match Sunday. Highest rated playoff NHL game outside of the Cup finals since 2002.

They released him last night and said he should fully recover according to ESPN. I missed it, I had Red Wings Predators on then. Fighting is one thing but we don't need anyone carted off to the hospital.

absolutely! it's that much worse that it's not one of the typical goons, too. at least if it was, you could say well, you had it coming.
hope he doesn't have any long term damage.

I was scrolling through Cosmo's list of the hottest NHL players and got off the elevator on the wrong floor. Oops! My hockey obsessed coworker who was critiquing their choices forgot to push the button for our floor though.

I can't believe how crazy that series is, Pens/Flyers Rangers playing again tonight, DH is excited! (he's doing a playoff beard this year and is all itchy, I told him with his luck the Rangers will make it to the cup this year & he'll have a full on scary bushy beard )

BF's "playoff" beard has been around for a couple of years. Damn if he doesn't look hot. ;D Yeah, this series has been insane! I am really tempted to go out tonight to watch the game (no cable at home).

LOL. DH hates facial hair but looks pretty good scruffy with a haircut, like he has now! I have never seen him with beyond about a week and a half of scruff though so we'll have to see what happens here

I saw they moved Torres hearing at his request to Friday.
If it is anything like Sunday's game it would be totally worth going out for meghan.
