now around 3PM I didn't hear from receiving 4 of 4! I call REceiving and speak with guy 2 of 4. He CALLS THE UPS DRIVER! from his cell phone. his personal cell phone! WOW now we're get'n some where.

UPS driver is on speaker and asked to check his truck for the containers. 3'x2' containers - check for something that size. UPS driver said nope I only have one more package going to your place today. Also I didn't have anything that size this morning!

I was just about to stay sounds like he had returned to UPS and is making another pick up and already emptied his truck. But that didn't matter cause he just said he didn't remember receiving anything that large.

Grainger REp 3- I tell him I only received an envelop with the packing slip this morning delivered by mail room and not receiving department. Receiving department never saw the containers and I finally spoke to the UPS driver and he never saw the containers. can you check with your departments that sends orders out to make sure they did actually send the containers?

Grainger Rep 3 calls UPS to start an investigation. we find out Grainger Rep 1 started an investigation. Grainger Rep 3 asks UPS Rep 2 how could a 38 pound package be scanned as an envelop? UPS Rep 2 said we are looking to see what happened with the items and will contact the receiver Hampton on Monday.

Grainger REp 3 then looks on-line UPS.com and reads off the screen "containers scanned at 1AM - label got separated from containers"  Just then it hit me no one actually looked up the tracking number. Grainger REp 3 said I wonder why UPS Rep 2 didn't say anything about the label missing. I'm sure he can see what the post on-line? |

I said good point then Grainger Rep 3 said what we do in these situations is you put in another order and once these containers are found we give you a credit.

I said no way! these containers cost a little over $250 - I can see I'm fucked I'm not paying $500 for these containers. I'll have to wait and see how this plays out. Grainger Rep said well there is still hope. UPS may find the containers. According to their tracking records - the actual containers were picked up from Grainger and scanned. so UPS does have them somewhere. Which explains why the driver and your receive didn't see them.

today Management is again requesting more changes to be completed by this Friday! F that! I ain't worried bout shit! nothing happened last Friday with their deadline so nothing will happen again - when I DON'T meet the deadline! WOW! I was wrong!! |

my brain!!  I was thinking the first deadline was Feb 4th then I wrote the new deadline was Feb 11 then last week I was surprised that Friday Feb 18 management actually popped up with wanting to take pictures. WOW - I was so ....off guard  |

so he comes around with the camera on Friday late afternoon. taking pictures of the areas I volunteered for. I was like DAM I didn't make any more...well and significant changes.

then got home and the pictures with my cell most were blurry! so I went back to work with my camera. took pictures again.

Got home and resized all the pictures. Named all the pictures. Then put the pictures in order by area and put them in PowerPoint.

I felt soo good because I am a real Assistant! that other so called assistant. took pictures and sent them in email. so receiving the pictures people have to click each one individually.

But I! put them in PowerPoint as a slide show and gave each a name AND in the slide show titled each with a location. ;D

BUT after I put together the slides I notices I missed 1 area. Went back to work Sunday Feb 20 to get the last 2 pictures. Got home edit the pictures and put them in the slide show.

so I put everything into .pdf ;D

that was wonderful!! it was a much smaller size for email and still in order with location titles. but in the email to my boss and his boss I mentioned 'had I known pictures were being taken Friday"  and sent only the two of them update pictures!! |
