I want to go down!" he's said to me "I bet you can get all the ladies", then walks out the elevators and continues "and the guys to like me"

so the kid tells me he didn't receive the bins! he thinks the bins must still be on the UPS truck. He said he would have remembered containers that large.

So that means the containers are on the UPS truck without a label. which the driver should be wondering where the bins should be delivered to? right?

he suggested I call UPS! I do and I'm told the package is signed for it's in Receiving. I tell the UPS rep. Our company receives a pile of packages and our receiving guy signs for everything. only the label made it off the truck. But the containers are still on the truck.

UPS rep continues the containers have been signed for. the sender would have to put in a claim/ start an investigation.

I asked calmly...not upset at all! I asked can't you get in touch with the driver and let him know the containers are still on his truck to return to the company to drop them off sometime today?

UPS reps said that's part of the investigation. Which has to be started by the sending company. Also I should call the sending company to make sure they actually sent the containers....

I said to the Rep 'so I understand correctly - you want me to ask if they sent the containers while I'm holding the packing slip? to which they of course will tell me yes they sent the containers'...

The UPS Rep said yes I should ask Grainger Rep if they sent the containers. I said OK! I'll ask and I'll call them right now to see if we can get in contact with the UPS driver

Sir have your receiving people check again cause it shows here that the containers have been received. I said I understand that but ...maybe I'm explaining this wrong? the label which I'm holding was received but the actual containers were not received and are still on the UPS truck. If we can start an investigation. UPS can contact the UPS driver that dropped off this morning to check his truck.

Sir I understand what you're asking and the containers have been delivered and signed for. your guys in receiving just has to find them. I see they signed for all four of your items. they all have different tracking numbers. he then gives me the tracking numbers to all four items.

so obviously jerk ass Grainger Rep is not gonna help me. I tell him - OK, I'll go to receiving myself and look around. I'll also take my packing slip. He said good idea it there anything else I can help you with? NO - you've done so much for me now I couldn't possibly ask you to do any more!

ok I didn't say that - actually now 2 days later thought of it and wished I had. at the time I was so worn out, and tired, and sleepy, and weak! I was still calm, talking in a low tone - not upset at all.

now the guy that told me he didn't see the containers is the low guy in receiving say 4 of 4. I get to receiving with my paperwork. and speak with guy 3 of 4. I'm looking around and I don't see any containers three feet by two feet.

I explain to him what been happening with guy 4 of 4 and UPS rep, and finally Grainger Rep. that I actually have 3 of 4 items missing and only 1 of 4 items was delivered. so 3 of 4 looks through the pile of UPS labels 4 of 4 signed for.

Now I'm speaking to Grainger Rep number 2. He tells me oh Grainger Rep number 1 is still making notes in the system. So I give him the second order number with the tub of hand wipes.

Grainger Rep 2 tells me they were signed for. I still didn't blow my top. I mean everyone I spoke to sounded American! meaning it didn't sound like my 800 call went to India, or England, or Canada, or China. Everyone spoke English as a first language. for some reason they all kept telling me the packages have been signed for.

I tell Grainger Rep 2. Yes the package was signed for but I'm in receiving right now the containers and the tub of hand wipes are not here! (ok with some frustration tone in my voice - BUT not upset still) I continue to say it's been 3 hours now since the delivery time. If you can just start the investigation so UPS can call the driver.

while I'm on the phone with Grainger Rep 2. receiving guy 3 of 4 is bringing me the copies of UPS labels. I tell Grainger REp 2. HOLD on for a minute? please. GUY 3 of 4 - this package is right over there! and I walk over and POW! I now got my tub!

I asked guy 3 of 4 - why didn't guy 4 of 4 bring this to me earlier? well Hampton I don't know? so I get back on the phone with Grainger Rep 2 and sadly say I just found the tub of hand wipes - BUT I still don't see the containers. Guess I'll have to call back when I really can find them.
