I have NRZ as well.....makes me happy that I'm holding a stock you two gurus are holding/considering 😀

It seems like it is so hard right now to find stocks that aren't overbought and offer a good entry point. In no way do I want to try and time the market, I just need to be ok with the price I pay for good companies.

VA....Thanks.  The chart indicates it is currently very near an all time high, so will wait and see if has a small correction of a point or two.  Just have "a feeling" the markets are very overdue for a little 2-3% pullback near term.  I have placed NRZ at the tip of my dividend shopping list. 
(Now, I suppose it will just keep going up, as trying to time the markets is normally a futile game.  Just going to take the chance and hope for a lucky break.)

Sold (GOOD) today from three accounts - replacing it with CCP in one account and NRZ in two other accounts.

Brad Thomas ( from Forbes Intelligent REIT Investor) had negative comments on it this morning. But the move increased my Dividend Income by several hundred dollars per year so just for that I am happy. Surprisingly, GOOD was up at the time I sold and made a good gain on the share price also. Brad Thomas is warning about the possibility of a Dividend cut by GOOD in the near future.

Lamar Advertising (LAMR) increases its Dividend 9.2% !

A great surprise - Lamar raised its quarterly dividend from .76 cents per share to .83 cents.

On an annual basis from $3.04 per share to $3.32 per share !

Lamar advertising is a REIT - They are a company that you probably know as they own many of the billboards that serve adverting along the nations highways. Great steady and dependable income. It's current forward yield is 4.46%.

Hercules Capital (HTGC) is a BDC ( Business Development Company ) - It focuses on companies operating in the fields of technology, biotechnology, life sciences, and clean-technology.

And ......... their current yield
A whopping 8.30 %!
It's quarterly Dividend Pay dates are in the months of : February , May, August and November.
It is a rising star in the world of BDCs - not quite on the same plane as MAIN but getting there in my opinion.
They more than covered the Dividend last quarter and speculation has it they will raise their Dividend in 2017.

AT&T (T) wins a contract to build a 7 Billion dollar nationwide First Responder Network across the US !

This Network will allow first responders to communicate with other other first responders like fire , police , FBI .................

T believe this is a major deal for AT&T ! I'm sure it will go beyond building the network but also maintaining the Network - This is one serious contract !

What a great run the Stock Market has had recently -

but I hope everyone is getting ready for the Inevitable (but Healthy) correction that will be coming! If you haven't already done so start putting money aside and make a list of stocks you would like to own. This way you will be able to buy into some stocks at bargain prices. We all know its coming !

I personally would love to add additional shares in AT&T (T) and Johnson and Johnson (JNJ)

my targets are a 5% yield for T & a 3% yield for JNJ

General Dynamics (GD) Raises Dividend 10.5% !

General Dynamics has raised its quarterly dividend from .76 cents per share to .84 cents per share.

On an annual basis from  $3.04 to $3.36 per share

No - LADR did not cut its Dividend !

Ladder Capital (LADR) just announced a dividend (distribution) of .30 versus .46 last quarter. No this is not a cut ! The end of year distribution included a "special" .16 cents added so they could meet the mandated 90 % distribution - so everyone can quit panicking !

Anyone getting into (SNAP) Snapchat ?

Yesterday it opened at $14-$17 and Climbed to over $27 before settling at just below $25.

My thoughts? Based on my memory of Facebook you will be able to buy this stock below its initial offering price in a month or two - So if you want it just wait.

I have to admit though I don't fully understand these Social Media apps nor do I appreciate them. I don't use any of them - Facebook, Snapchat, Whatsapp, ......................

Pennant Park (PNNT) has declared a 35.7% DECREASE in its quarterly dividend !

Pennant Park has reduced its quarterly dividend from .28 cents per share down to .18 cents per share.

I admit to not understanding Snap and the others, but Telsa, in my opinion , is a pure scam ! Even more so with the Acquisition of Solar City ! Yes, Tesla makes some cool cars , but for me just way too expensive and not practical for my use ! I drive between Virginia and Florida / Georgia all the time - I just can't imagine having to plan stops along the way to recharge for the next 200 miles. Elon Musk keeps selling the company but he also has to continually issue stock because the company loses money and that is on top of the government subsidies.

Even the Solar Roof is a scam. I thought it looked interesting when it was first announced because I am building a home soon. I thought it would be a good idea to incorporate a solar roof since he stated it would cost about the same or less than a standard roof. After I looked into it though the cost of a Solar Roof would be about $75,000 for a 3000 square foot home,  hardly a bargain by any measure. A standard roof with high quality shingles would be $15,000 at the very most , and probably closer to $10,000 in the area I plan to build. It seems Elon was factoring in the savings in Electrical cost to justify his statement it would cost the same and using the highest comps he could possibly find. These kind of games make me question his honesty.

Telsa is going to come tumbling down one day and it will expose Elon as a scam artist. Maybe he actually believes in what he is doing but that would just make the whole thing even sadder !

Definitely a fee war going on right now ! Guess who the winners are ? Some are saying the result may end up being $0.00 trades - Of course that means they will try and make up that Income elsewhere.

Home Depot has raised its quarterly dividend from .68 cents per share to .89 cents per share.

On an annual basis from $2.76  to $3.56 per share

Qualcom has raised its quarterly dividend from .53 cents to .57 cents per share.

Annually it has raised it from $2.12 to $2.28 per share.

Reynolds American has raised its quarterly dividend from .46 cents to .51 cents per share !

Do not know how I missed this, but Nisource increased it's quarterly dividend from $.165 a share to $.175 a share this latest quarter.


Since it is a utility, the share price should drop this year due to increased interest rates, but will buy many more shares for me in the drip program.

Kimberly Clark has raised its quarterly dividend from .92 cents to .97 cents per share.

On an annual basis $3.68 to $ 3.88 per share !

Worried about the past couple of down days ?

Don't be !

It's natural to get a little flustered when you see your portfolio dropping like a rock but this correction was really needed and provides a healthy release. I looked at my portfolios and what I see is nothing but RED ! But, this also gives me comfort of knowing that this selloff is a correction. What would really concern me is if I had one or two stocks that were tanking when the rest were increasing or holding relatively stable. Then I would start digging to see what is going wrong.

This is a buying opportunity for a great deal of stocks - Take advantage of it !

Domino's Pizza (DPZ) has raised its dividend by 21.1% !

Domino's has raised its quarterly dividend from .38 cents per share to .46 cents per share.
