I stayed with my mother when my father died, two nights after the funeral my mother vividly saw my father sitting on the edge of the bed taking his socks off, just like he had done for decades.
She knew it was an illusion, our mind guesses and sometimes it guesses what we want to see.

My relationship with God is between me & God.... it's not out for display, it's not out to beat anyone else over the head with, it's not forced on anyone, and it's not tied to any religion. IMO religion is the problem, not God. I don't believe any ANY organized religion....they are about control, demeaning women, taking away the rights of women, & money money money.... none of which agree with MY beliefs about God & the personal relationship a person has with God.
No, I don't believe in heaven & hell.... when you are dead you're dead and that's it. Heaven & hell are here now.... it's what we go thru in life that makes us stronger people. Some need a religious crutch, others don't.
Religion gives my grandma great peace & it's very important to her. I respect her & her beliefs enough to always be respectful when she is praying before dinner and I don't have religious debates with her. She finds comfort in it and it's HER personal relationship with God that I respect. It works for HER & she doesn't try to force others to believe as she does....she doesn't belittle others by using her religious beliefs.

I actually respect a person who doesn't hide behind the ignore button. I haven't touched it since it was installed.
Okay, Femme. I was mostly talking about what was happening on a different part of the board regarding Snerdley.
In either event, I'm done arguing. I'm just sick of it. It does not appear that there will ever be a true peace treaty, so I'm just going to call a cease fire and leave it at that. This battle isn't worth the fight.

She was smiling and she looked so peaceful. The thing of it is, at that moment she was in the hospital dying, she had inoperable brain cancer and died a slow horrible death. |
