It works both ways Steff.. some of your posts and others have not been nice, IMO.. or respectful... at all.. But, we can start over... you insult my posts....then come back with how *I* haven't been respectful and the "we can start over" line..... don't insult me and then smile.... I found the post insulting and uncalled for.. but was only being honest when I said I wasn't surprised, given the history in your posts. Tosh and I are having a nice conversation, so, if you will excuse me for not answering or continuing this discussion.. HAGD |

Hello, Steff: The problem I'm running into here is that I'm starting to see the wolfpack mentality forming. I began to notice it as I was exchanging barbs with Snerdley over in the "Everything Else" section. Slowly, but ever so surely, the dreaded peanut gallery began to toss comments my way, and of course Snerdley was considered blameless. Never mind how she started attacking me at 8am this morning and has been at it most of the day. I can tell already that I'm not going to get a fair shake here. People will be able to say what they want to me (within moderation limits) but if I fight back, the dogpile will happen and it will, of course, be all my fault. I went through that nonsense on MSN and I have no desire to repeat it. It's just far too easy to blame it on the obscure person than one of the regulars. When all else fails, blame it on the "outsider." People have been doing that for centuries. Once things get "cliche-ish" it's always goes downhill very quickly... whether it be thru insults or the fine "art" of taking a thread completely off topic with nonsensical "chat" about ignoring & how rude everyone else is. The lame games over "I'm ignoring you, but here's a big response to what you just said even tho, I'm ignoring you". The grand announcements about how they didn't hear what was just posted.... it's all so childish & contributes nothing to the actual discussion, but it serves their purpose very nicely. This entire thread is about questioning the existence of God, not to preach to the choir. There's plenty of threads for the happy happy joy joy preaching posts & pictures. |

I hope that wasn't in reference to me. I was more than willing to start over and let water rush under the old bridge, as they say. But, while I was literally typing out a reconciliation post (which you can still see on the board) you had already bounded ahead, getting angry all over again at my earlier posts and typing up indignant responses. There are some modern explanations appearing concerning life after death, one of them goes like this :
Our consciousness is physical and maybe quantum, as you know the double split experiment indicates quantum particles can be in two different places at the same time.
The singularity must have contained quantum particles to exist, so the universe itself may be one giant consciousness and we are put one part, there may be up to 11 dimensions, after death our quantum consciousness may go into another dimension.
God may be described as total consciousness.
