Good morning snowbird! My advice to peeps suffering from this is do not let depression become WHO you are. Yes, you may suffer from it, but you do not have to become the disease.

Looking at children's eyes and listen to their giggle, always does magic to my heart. Good morning, heart to heart.

Good Morning Kids! If we don't get the freezing rain in the forecast, I'm supposed to meet up with some old school friends this weekend. We've all had different challenges since leaving school, but somehow managed to stay in touch. I REALLY hope the weather doesn't force us to postpone our getogether, since we always end up laughing about something. Anyone besides me getting TONS of emails from companies who sell seeds, plants, trees, etc? The snow may be on the ground, but I'm already planning what's going in the yard this spring.

Oh, busymom, you are a mom after mine own .. I am already envisioning what my garden landscape's curb appeal will be like. I love love love drawing up blueprints for my gardening pleasure.. I have one all set and ready to apply for another family member's garden, we can hardly wait to get started with.. I have already started getting mail for bulbs and seeds too. I purposely sign up for the free seed promotions from my local nursery. I hope your plans to get together with friends work out. Nothing like a good time out with friends. Good morning to you too snowbird.. Hugs for all..

Actually, today was as good as a Monday could get, considering I was cleaning on Mom's house (it was productive!) Heart, are you thinking of adding any trees to your property? We might add one or two this spring.

No trees for me this year, busymom. I will be planting a fruit tree for my parents this spring, in hopes of provoking their single fruit tree to produce in a couple years. Monday's seem to have its up and downs it seems, for many, but productive/cleaning is a good thing any day..

Morning all. Dealing with a killer migraine, woke up at 3 am and haven't been back to sleep since. Oh well, it will go away, sometime.... Love the sunshine though. So glad it is March I am coming out of my Jan-Feb funk and feel human again. This year hit HARD. DS#2 missing 19 days of school didn't help either. Busy: St Michael is nice.... Just saying My old neighborhood from childhood has also gone WAY downhill. Sad to see. In some ways I am sad my kids won't get to do some of the things I did (like biking to Minnehaha falls and Fort Snelling) but we do a lot of things in the summer. Just glad to be here and not back in Minneapolis.... Do you have other kids? We have a 2 YO dog that is great with DS#2, well all the kids. He has problems with women he doesn't know and is neurotic but oh well. Happy Day All!

I dream of one day being free of worry... This is too much for one person to carry around. I need to learn to let go...let go of the hurtful people in my life...but how ? Why is everything such a struggle I am so so tired...

Hi! I wanted to check in with all you Kids, & see how you're doing. I survived DS's IEP meeting this week, which can be a bummer, but this year's meeting was better than some years. We're starting some serious talk about life after high school. Ouch! Hard to imagine, but I know it'll be coming up quick...

This feeling of deadness within me started this past January. Being told I had lung cancer at the beginning of this year put me into a major tailspin. I'm not sure if it's my thyroid acting up or depression or both.
Something isn't right, I feel dead inside.
I've already told the hospital how I feel and that if the thyroid supplements don't help I want an appointment to see the psychiatrist that's with our clinic. I seen him in 2008 when I had my last episode.
Yeah I'm going forward, I just feel like shit and I can't feel emotions.
I'll find out more about this lung issue on Nov. 5th, to see if the antibiotic treatment worked or if it's more lung surgery. I might skip on up to my own clinic and ask for a referral to see the psychiatrist.

Nancy I probably should have seen the psychiatrist when I started hurting this past winter. But I did let my clinic know when I was last there, so they won't be at all surprised when I ask to see him.
I felt really bullied and pushed this past winter from all the doctors, like everything had to be done yesterday.

I'm really sorry, sugi. You've had a considerable load to bear this year and you've borne it with dignity and grace. Still, it's trying, to say the least. I hope you're able to get some help, and some good news about the lung issue.

Yeah I'm hoping too. They just are still not 100% sure and that throws me. I was just reading about different antidepressants. I know it doesn't help with my sister's cancer situation, but I can't control that, I can control this if I see the psychiatrist.

I'll add my <HUGS> to your hug collection too, Sugi! This weather hasn't helped, I'm sure. We finally got a little peek of sun today, after being cloudy all week. But, it didn't stick around. Strange how my mood improves when the sun decides to stick around.

Thanks busy.
Yeah I really agree with you there about the sun shining. I get up every morning and take my meds then go back to bed. But today the sun was so bright I went and done some grocery shopping instead. It was too sunny to go back to bed and I thought soon enough the sun won't be as bright, so take what you can now.

BTW I am doing my brainwave stuff for depression. Right now I'm listening to Serotonin and I do the function commands from Hemi-Sync. So not all is lost I'm being proactive.

I listened to 30 minutes of brainwave entrainment from Kelly Howell, I actually felt something in my brain. I'll do some now everyday to wake my brain up.

I've been going through it for about 4 yrs now - long back-story that I wont go into since this is a public chat board and I don't really want any personal information I post here to go viral, or have people gossiping about it behind my back, so I'll keep it to myself as far as details.
Went through a couple of VERY trying times about 3 yrs ago - at the hands of someone I loved and trusted with my life. It caused me to fall into a serious depression - with me considering some pretty drastic measures myself. (Thankfully, I listened to my inner voice - and sought professional counseling at the time).
I'm not a fan of anti-depressants - and threw most of mine out when they were just "masking" the problem - at least for me. (I don't judge anyone they work for.) I managed to work through my issues, but still get extremely "moody" at times or on certain important dates that remind me of the person who caused me the grief and I once leaned on and trusted with my every being.
