Good Morning Everyone.

Not a good day for me and my family though. My father passed away last night. My oldest sister called to tell me, and I ended up being the one to call my other sister and brother, not a phone call I wanted to make. He has been having some major health issues in the last year or so and has been on dialysys for some time. He is in a better place now.

Beautiful cactus, Sparkle. Something I wouldn't mind having in my home if it's an indoor plant. I really like that. Remember the clematis? I am applying my green thumbs to one of them this spring.. I hope it takes off.

I have strep throat so have felt like a mac truck ran me over then backed up! On medicine starting today so starting to feel better. Have had to cancel all my appointments for this week. Also trying to keep the kids from catching it. I will be non contagious starting tomorrow, so I will be doing laundry cleaning and lysoling the house.

Dear Kimber, I'm so sorry for your loss. That's a tough one. I lost both my parents, I relate as my mother was on dialysis, she hated it and it took it's toll on her. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thank you all for your kinds words, the funeral is tomorrow morning. Between DH and I, this is the first parent we have lost. I am the youngest of 4 and was a Daddy's girl. My only comfort is that he is in a better place.

I gotta tell ya I was expecting to be 100% and feeling much better. While I am doing a lot better it feels like something is settling in my lungs, not sure I can get a respiratory infection while on penicillin. Oh well we will see. May be an expensive year with the Doctor, at least I have insurance even if it isn't the best.

Happy Valentine's Day! Kids are having a blast. DF and I will not be going out tonight, but then again we only had low key plans. We will celebrate our 13th anniversary next Tuesday. Hmmm will have to plan something!

Amazing how different our lives are now compared to when we started dating 13 years ago!

Boy that's an understatement. My wife and I got together 33 yrs ago, just after highschool What we have weathered in 30 plus years, we could fill a book, Addiction, recovery, loss of family members, job, etc, etc, etc, life!

Roy: I think a lot of todays problems with relationships is that when the going gets rocky people bail rather then tightening their belts, putting their seatbelts on and working on it. There are days when I tell myself I am CHOOSING to be in this relationship. He may not be perfect but then again neither am I. We haven't dealt with addiction but we have had family members lost, children born, disabilities dealt with, job gain, job loss, moving homes, financial gain, financial loss etc. It hasn't been a smooth road but it has been an exciting one!

Hi all, my iron is still low, they ran more tests, scoped my digestive track and everything . . . . haven't found a darn thing yet that could be causing it.

You don't want your stomach scoped, it stays sore for a while afterwards. I don't think I could eat without some mild pain until the next day.

Well I'm glad they found nothing wrong . . then again, I wish they would find an answer. I have to wait until the biopsy comes back before I can make a doc appointment. Although they didn't find anything, they still took a biopsy to see if they missed something. IDK.

(that's as much of an update as I can give the people who have asked for one.)


Uncle Sam didn't make good on depositing my return when he was supposed to. (dang government) So I am still using daughter's laptop. So only here for a short time.
