James Harrison out of retirement and he makes Joe eat turf the whole game, thanks O-line for nothing. Even worse, our corners couldn't even cover my grandmother... and she uses a walker! ...I didn't mind the second half... fwiw... Hey, I haven't seen you around in a while. You're not supposed to only show up when the Steelers crush the Ravens you know.
Well, our best corner Jimmy Smith is done for the year with foot surgery. I was hoping to get him back after this game. We are toast! In other news, the Cleveland Browns killed the Bengals last night and are now in first place in the AFC North!

This is one of the headlines at Google News - of course I customized page to show Raiders sports. The Oakland Raiders are officially eliminated from playoff contention. Ya think

Well, um, they have... Um, wait, what about? Beth gives up trying to think of something positive about the Raiders and starts on her huge pile of backlogged work instead.

I thought it was funny that they had to make it a headline - like no one would figure it out all on their own!! I hope you get that huge pile of work done. Poor Raiders fan here just hanging head in Raider Nation shame

Wait, I thought of something kinda positive- you got a new coach or manager off the Packers, right? Give him a season or two to rebuild.
And I'm still working on the backlog. I seriously have about 10 hours of work to get done in 6.5 hours now.

It's like a revolving door at Raiders. Heck they could have Jack the Ripper as a coach now - I can't even keep up. But I still luuuve em!! Worse thing is my son is a Packers fan and I have to listen to his lip all the time - I don't know where I went wrong with that kiddo. But I do appreciate your efforts in this venture or are you just using it as an excuse not to work You can explain that cyber bud is in dire need of cheering up and you feel the need to be a good friend

I knew the Raiders would get a win at some point but didn't think it would be against KC!

Yep, we finally got that one win LOL I thought I was going to have a heart attack at the end when the players lost track of it only being 3rd down and they were celebrating. I was actually yelling at them - like they could hear me. But it feels good to know that we at least won't go 0-16. I agree that this has been one of the most "inconsistant" years in a long time - anyone seems to be able to beat anyone when you least expect it.

So....
Has the Seahawks - 49'ers officially passed the Ravens - Steelers as the best current NFL rivalry? Last year's NFC championship game was an instant classic, and tonight was another in a line of tough, hard-fought games. Setting aside the Sherman - Crabtree thing, even the COACHES can't stand each other, dating back to college days.

Holy crap did I suck at picking the games for the Thanksgiving weekend. But my Packers won despite me (and my Dad) thinking they wouldn't. So Go Pack!!!
I don't think anyone is going to pick up Ray Rice this year. He may get a min. offer sheet sometime next year during Free Agency though.

Agree on Ray Rice...it's too late in the season, and the whole situation is still too hot to handle. No one wants that kind of publicity.

Yeah. The Niners didn't really start to suck that bad until the Seahawks took them apart. Oh well, at least the Raiders can play a little bit. All is not lost for Bay Area fans.

We've won two!!! Funny but I had a feeling about this game so went online to listen. Rarely get Raiders games here unless MNF/TNF so listen online most of the time. Whew, it's been a rough season

Yeah, yeah, I read the thing about this being old thread and dead. But not starting a new thread for this comment. Did anyone watch the Bills Jets game last night? Don't give a hoot about either team but I just love to watch pro games. Point being was it just me or did you feel like you were watching a bunch of Christmas tree ornaments running all over the place with the butt ugly red and green uniforms

That uniform combination was most unfortunate.

Hated the uniforms! I read on line that colored blind people had a hard time. Every uniform was the same color to them.

No, but I watched the Pats- Giants game yesterday afternoon. Whew.....
A win is win. The good guys were lucky to squeak that one out though. I watched it too. I don't know if it is just me but this seems like a somewhat "strange" season. Of course nothing strange about my team - we are losing but there's hope, we won one m ore than last year but I want to snatch the defense a new one. Times they look like they are playing powder puff football. But all I get to see are hi lites/low lites since don't get them live in my neck of the woods
