A pox on your first born BeenThere...DoneThat... Probably the one team I can say I don't want to win it all although I enjoy watching Manning play.

...I want Manning to get the second ring, stick it to the Colts, shut up his little brother, remind people that old guys rule, and the new Mastercard commercials should be fun to watch... ...and because I still don't want the Niners to get a 6th ring until we have our 7th... ...and I don't want the Pats to do it... ...the Seahawks would be okay... I don't mind Carroll as coach, anyway...

Well good point there BTDT. I will mull them over since I am so conflicted this year. I just dislike more than like any teams in the playoffs. But I will be watching all the games since I love football.

wow! I had checked the score when it was like a 20-pt deficit, that was totally not what I was expecting when I tuned back in between hockey games. what a turnaround! was it a comeback by Indy, a complete collapse by KC, or something in between? sent from my electronic distraction

Well, that sucked didn't it? I'm still trying to find someone to pull for. I guess since I pulled for the Packers until Super Bowl II I could pull for them but wrong conference - decisions decisions

Can we please say goodbye to the Brady/Manning era and get ourselves ready for the Wilson/Kaepernick era? I expect it will be just as epic, and we'll also never get to see them play a superbowl against each other.
As for who to cheer for, Hawks all the way, people.
(With a note that I am a Raiders fan, which means that I must actively cheer against the Broncos and the Chiefs. I live in Seahawks territory, though, and have no issue cheering for them as my secondary team.)

I live about 140 miles east of New Orleans and have been to more Saints games than I care to mention - only to see the other teams LOL and I can't even pull for them. I think I will just go out into the back yard and eat worms

When their running back fumbled near the goal line and the ball bounces off an offensive lineman into Luck's arm and he dives into the end zone, you knew who was going to win.
I cannot wait until this afternoon when Green Bay plays Frisco, but I do not think the temp is going to be as bad as originally predicted, at least at the beginning of the game. The NFL should have moved this game to noon, and moved the San Diego Cincy game to the afternoon for safety reasons for the players and the fans.

GO HAWKS!
In all honesty, it's a pretty cool feeling in Seattle right now. Democrat/Republican, Conservative/Liberal, whatever/whatever, people are high fiving in supermarkets, smiling at one another and having a good time. Something to see.

I don't know who I'm cheering for, now that my Packers are out of it.
Although I AM hoping that the cold games played outdoors this weekend and the Feb. Super Bowl in NY convince the NFL to start the season a couple of weeks earlier. I really don't think football is meant to be played in late Jan or Feb.

The football is now down to four games, two today and two tomorrow, on the way to the Super Bowl - in February!! Todaay we have the New Orleans Saints going to play the Seattle Seahawks and the Indianapolis Colts at the New England Patriots. So who are you picking? Me? Seahawks and Colts (I'm hoping for a Denver vs. Indy AFC Championship - Peyton Manning vs. his replacement Andrew Luck).

Football also isn't made to be played in the summer. It's a fall sport and the college season is when it should be played. If it weren't for the NFL greed, they would be playing it then too. But they kept wanting more games for more $$$$ and have kept extending the season further and further into winter. Now they want to add some more wild card games!! And that will push the Super Bowl even further into February. So much for the NFL's concern about player safety. Let's make those poor idiot players play more and more games with ever increasing danger of crippling injuries and concussions. Who cares as long as we make more money for those greedy owners?

So yesterday half of the conference championship games were decided - Patriots in the AFC, Seattle Seahawks in the NFC. Today we have the Denver Broncos vs. San Diego Chargers and San Francisco 49ers vs Carolina Panthers. I'd like to see Denver and Carolina win, but then I wanted the Colts to beat New England and that didn't happen. Unfortunately, usually the favorite wins. I don't like San Francisco and never have since the years of the Giants/49ers rivalry.

I was able to experience that feeling for five consecutive years. It is really awesome. I really miss it this year.
Anyway, Go Seahawks!!! You can beat that punk quarterback and whiney coach!

Looks like we get the game so many people wanted from the start. Seattle-Denver. Best defense against best offense. Maybe all of the fans of teams in other states should lobby their legislatures to legalize marijuana too. Might make the difference for your teams next year....

Richard Sherman is making it really hard to root for Seattle, but it is the last remaining team that doesn't have a Manning on it. so, I guess that means I say "go Seahawks!" that Pete Carroll is their coach definitely helps things. He was set up to fail here, and I've always wished him well. sent from my electronic distraction

If you see Sherman more, he is much more often engaging and funny. My guess is that most of the rest is more for effect than anything else. If you challenge him though, you'd better be right or he will dog you. He's a smart guy and just has a lot of fun with it.
