So the Steelers skate again. Must be nice to know that you can disrespect the game and get away with paying only a "modest" fine. Look what the NFL did to the Saints over "paying" for hits. No mercy there.

I'm glad to be skipping the Vikings game. The Jets game was miserable enough.

I just turned on the NFL Redzone channel and they showed the Detroit Lions vs Phil. Eagles game and you can hardly see what's happening because of the snow falling!! And I look out my window and see the sun shining. I prefer my view.

BTW I heard today on ESPN that the league isn't thinking of taking away draft picks from the Steelers, but downgrading the ones they have in the next draft.

That's one of the games I am getting right now. I may have to put on warmer clothes just to watch it!! My other choice is Miami and Pittsburg and it is snowing there too. Not really excited about either game but got to get my Pro fix for the week!!!

Their Redzone channel hass all the games and shows the plays in the red zone and highlights commercial free. Since I'm a Giant fan and they aren't on, I enjoy watching the variety.

I've been watching the Browns stomping all over the Patriots and I had a stray thought. I wonder how many people today remember or even know why Cleveland has that name.
Once upon a time there was a football conference in the last half of the 1940s called the All-American FC. It went head to head with the NFL for about 4-5 years. When it folded, three teams joined the NFL - San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Colts (who folded after one year and have no connection to the team that was the Baltimore Colts and now the Indianapolis Colts).
One of the founders of the AAFC, who is one of the all-time football geniuses, was named Paul Brown and his team was Cleveland. He later sold the team and when the AFL came into being, founded and coached the Cincinnati Bengals (his family still owns and runs the team). He built a pro football dynasty in Cleveland, winning four AAFC titles, three NFL crowns and had only one losing season in 17 years. In the four seasons the Browns operated in the AAFC, they lost just four games. When the Browns joined the NFL in 1950, they continued their winning ways playing in the next six championship games and winning the title in 1950, 1954, and 1955. Today, many don't know what a powerhouse Cleveland used to be with Otto Graham as quarterback and remember, Jim Brown was their running back, but I do.

I remember Jim Brown. I didn't get to see much pro football back then and we mostly got the Packers which was the team I pulled for until Super Bowl II - became a full blown rabid Raiders fan at that point.
I don't get the Red Zone in my package but I do get the NFL channel so now I at least get to see TNF.

The end of the Steelers/Dolphins game was epic! Steelers almost stole the game, but for a single out-of-bounds step. Dolphins took the game, but the Ravens also won on the final play of their game. So we're still tied for that last playoff spot.

the end of this game was payback for that BS call that cost us the game vs the Jets. that pass interference call should have made outside the end zone. not that I think we wouldn't have scored w/in 20 yds anyway, but it would have given the Pats haters that much less to whine about..... but that onside kick and recovery? damn.....

I don't know how but I'm sure the Browns loss was Obama's fault!

Today was not a good day for Gronk to be a fantasy bust! I'm in the playoffs. I did end up freezing my butt off at the Ravens game. I needed ski pants. My jeans got soaked.

Will anyone be watching MNF tonight? Da Bears will be retiring Mike Ditka's number. I was surprised that it wasn't retired long ago!! After all, he has been retired as a player for 20-30 years or more!!

That game was amazing! Five touchdowns scored in the last 2 minutes 5 seconds and the best ending to any football game I've ever seen. Incredible!

No we were cold and left at the end of the third. We were still in the stadium when the Vikings scored their TD to start the 4th and when the Ravens blew the next drive. I saw highlights later.

Holy cow, did the Cowboys collapse or what? I had no expectations of winning at the end of the 1st half. I left the game on and was when they scored, thought, "Huh, it's a start" but didn't think the Pack would actually DO it. And the best football commercial was on yesterday, during the Packer/Cowboys game. It was Eli Manning (who'd thrown 5 picks yesterday) in an ad for some watch and was touting the accuracy/precision. It was awesome in the timeliness.

Go Broncos, Go Broncos to the play offs then the Super Bowl. The frozen tundra of Lambeau Field isn't so frozen with heat conduit under it. I don't think I would shovel out the stands for $10 per hour. Maybe they got a free ticket to boot.

I can't believe that my Packers are still in it. How in the name of all that's holy did the NFC North suck so bad this year?

I can't believe my Packers made it into the playoffs. I can believe they're having issues selling out the tickets because it's going to be freaking cold AND it's the Sunday night game.

You can thank the Lions for totally blowing it.
I'm surprised that the tickets haven't sold, after all, it is the playoffs. Wimps!

We have been. I"m not really sad to see Schwartz go either. The Lion fans deserve better than they've had the last 15 years or so (Schwartz, Matt Millen) but I'm glad Lovie Smith isn't coming back to the NFC North.
