Everyone looks bad without makeup. Some just decide it doesn't matter. That is their PHILOSOPHY!

Everyone looks bad without makeup. Totally not true. Some women look better without make up than most of the planet will no matter how much they put on.

I had a girl in one of my spanish classes who used to come in all dolled up. Even her sweats were those expensive juicy ones Anyway she had the whole bleach blond hair, tanning bed queen, makeup to the 9s, diamond studs, other jewelry etc. She came to our final without makeup up and I thought she was hot. She looked much prettier without all the makeup. Most people aren't like that though.

Philosophical decision or just plain laziness? How about so I don't get funny looks at the grocery store? I do community theater. I have stopped to grab something a time or two after a performance and quickly realized from the look on the clerk that I have forgotten to wash my face.

There are some women that don't know how to apply make-up but I believe that if they got a little help, any woman could improve their appearance with a little something extra.

My New Year's resolution this year is to actually NOT wear makeup as much... My mom puts on makeup and fixes her hair every day, no matter if she's leaving the house or not, and I grew up thinking that I had to as well. Thinking that I wasn't pretty enough if I didn't wear a full face of makeup. I, too, used to put makeup on to go to the gym or just run out to 7/11. However, after having my daughter last year I decided I don't want HER to grow up thinking that she's not beautiful if she doesn't wear makeup. Therefore, I'm trying to become more comfortable in my own skin as an example to her.
And, no, I'm not hideous without makeup. I do know that I look better with makeup and will continue to wear it when going to functions, dates, etc. But I want my daughter to know that it's OK to be herself, too.

the only makeup I wear to the gym is mascara. I can't stand the feel of makeup on my face when I'm sweating.

I've known a few women that I thought were more attractive without make up. It could just be that their taste in make up and mine didn't match though. You don't have to be like super model gorgeous to look good without make up. It's basically whether or not you have pretty decent skin naturally. If you do, you probably look pretty good with just some simple lip gloss and mascara or eye liner if anything. The worse your skin is, the more make up you need to try and hide it.

If I have a tan I'll go out sometimes without makeup on. Otherwise I think my skin tone's too uneven to go without some foundation. I like the bare minerals stuff.

I don't like the double standard... men aren't asked why they aren't wearing makeup on a bad skin day And dudes totally look hot with eyeliner.

I have a friend who looks absolutely hideous with make-up on. The best I've ever seen her look is a day we dropped in on her and found her hanging out on the couch with her hair pulled up and no make up at all. Unfortunately, she doesn't agree and wears make up and terrible 80's hair every darn day! The 80's rule

Johnny Depp looks damn hot in eyeliner. My friend's husband was Jack Sparrow for Halloween. I saw some pics of the three of us from the party, I swear he's got as much eye makeup on as we do and we get ours done at the MAC counter.

Actually, I'm quite fair-skinned and I'd look either anemic or ill if I didn't add a little color to my complexion in the winter. I'm a step above Casper...if I don't have make-up on, I look like a cancer patient...I rarely step outside without my make-up on, let alone go somewhere...I don't someone to mistakingly start a fundraiser for me

That's pretty much how I described my skin-tone too in #36, Tina.

The 80's rule So sorry -- no disrespect meant! I happen to love several things about the 80's. Just not this particular friend's hair and make up! <<please don't hurt me>> LMAO! I was just busting...I had huge 80's hair in the 80's and still battle my naturally curly (read HUGE) hair...I straighten it to within an inch of its life

I have uber-curly hair, too (and back in the 80's as well....)! I straightened it a few months ago just so it would be not as curly. It's crazy how big it can get! I wear a pony tail all summer because the humidity just sends it flying! A chemical straightening? I keep wanting to try that but I am so afraid that it won't look right. I have crazy curly hair so I am patiently waiting for the 80's look to come back

My salon has some new straightner process. I guess it does work for a few months. Apparently it takes a few days for it to look right though. They have to charge by the ounce for it and my hair's below my shoulder blades and thick so it'd be almost $1k for me.

Apparently its called thermal reconditioning and I wouldn't qualify anyway. To qualify, you must have hair that is at least four inches long and either natural hair color or single processed hair color without highlights It does say it lasts for six months. I got blonde and red highlights last time.

Oh the irony. My hair is poker straight and I use rollers to give it body and shape. And I love to wear make up - tastefully. But I didn't today. I was washing floors and doing that kind of stuff so why bother? <<POM is hoping nobody can see her>>

I almost added and I would lose my control over J. If mine looked pretty and curly I'd go with it. Unless I really work with it to me it just looks like I didn't bother to do anything with my hair, not curly and not straight. I can straighten my hair and sleep on it and its fine in the morning. If I sleep on the pretty curly stuff it looks like crap in the morning. And as long as my hair is there is no way I'm getting up early enough to wash and dry it in the morning. POM if I'm staying around the house cleaning and stuff I probably don't bother with makeup most of the time. If I'm going out I wear it. I'm a few shades darker than Casper in the winter
