constanz: glad to hear you're doing better. If nobody else is interested in the $5/$15 coupons, I can sure use them. Dancin sent me a few, but with the great frozen food deals at Safeway this month, they make for some good deals. If someone else wants them though, please let them have first shot. blues: Happy BD! lily: Welcome to a really friendly board! Good to have you here. I only have one of each of the ones I mentioned. They were from a magazine. I can send them all, if you want...let me know. NAG: Please pray for us. If anyone wants to "see" where I live, just turn on the Weather Channel. We are having historic flooding and have had over 10 inches of rain in the past 24 hours. We had a 500 year flood just FIVE years ago that devastated the area and this is worse. Totally unbelievable....My house is on high ground so I am safe. Basement has about 3 inches of water in it and I can not do anything about it, can't move/lift anything, etc. This sucks... constanz: Thanks so much for the offer, but I have all the other coupons. All those are the ones that came out in the Safeway frozen food booklet. I really would only use the $5/$15, and I don't want you to use a stamp for just one coupon. Maybe someone else would like the whole bunch. I sure wish you and your town the best with the flooding. So sorry you have all that to deal with now. But don't get tempted to try to get rid of it now. You really need to take it easy.

Good morning ladies! Just wanted to check in. Thanks so much for everyone's kind words and thoughts. It means a lot. My neighbors really came through for me yesterday afternoon. Don't know what I'd have done without them. They got my electric back on downstairs and got most of the water out of my basement. I totally overdid it yesterday and am just taking it REALLY easy for the next couple days. I'm not going to do anything...promise! I'm supposed to have my post op appt on Monday but don't know if I can even get there then. Will just have to see...the rivers crested overnight, earlier and a little lower than expected, so, that's a good thing, but the area is still devastated. I'm essentially stranded. I live about a mile from the river, on a hill, so, I'm safe. But, I couldn't get out if I wanted/needed to cuz all the roads around me are flooded. Our "downtown" is under about 6 feet of water, bridge is out, even side/alternate roads are completely flooded or washed out. Again, Thank God for stockpiles. The only thing I'm a little low on is wet cat and wet dog food, but, I'm sure we'll manage til I can get to a store, even if it's mid next week. I'm not sure when mail will start again, so, I'll have to withdraw my offer of the Safeway Q's...sorry!

Looks like Raley's is having a very good cereal promo this week: buy 10 boxes of Trix, Cheerios, or GM cereal bars (Cheerios milk bars etc) and get them for $1.50 each. Since I eat either Cheerios or oatmeal every day (for my cholesterol control), I took advantage of this. I got 7 boxes of cereal, 3 boxes of cereal bars, grapes (99c lb) and almonds ($3.99 a pound). After all my q's the total was $12.65. Safeway has an in ad q for the cereal bars at $1.49 so with those .50 q's floating around, they would be .99 each. I don't eat these but my kids say they are good if in a hurry in the a.m. or for a mid-morning snack. There's also an in ad q for the different variety of nature valley granola bars for $1.77. With man. q's these would be @ $1.45 box--not too bad and about as low as they go around here.

Happy Friday hounds Has anyone seen any good deals on subscriptions to All You Magazine lately? My subscription runs out next month, and I wouldn't mind renewing if I can find a good deal. The magazine will let me renew for $20/year, but I'm pretty sure that's what I paid for the 2 year subscription I have now. $20 for the year might be a bit much since I haven't found myself using as many of their coupons as I used to. Agreed that the deals in general have been pretty lousy lately. I have $3 UPs that expire at the end of the month, but I haven't really seen anything worth jumping on. I was out of CVS for a few weeks, but I got a $2 EB from a survey. I went in this week and picked up some shave cream (needed it), as well as the FAEB candy and a couple of other things. Now I have another $2 EB, and I'm debating getting back in or just spending it on a paper. Disappointed that the deals are tanking now that I finally live so close to all the drug stores

Disappointed that the deals are tanking now that I finally live so close to all the drug stores I'm looking for an All You subscription deal too Emhalf! We both must've taken advantage of the cheap 2 year subscription posted on a blog 2 years ago. Let me know if you find a good deal and if I find one, I'll post it here. But I agree, it's gonna have to be a good one b/c I've found I don't use the Q's nearly as much as I used to. I agree about the drug store deals. I got out of CVS completely a week or 2 ago, my first time since I started hounding with ya'll over 2 years ago! If there's not a weekly deal, I lose track of when my ECB's expire and it's just not worth trying to roll them out of desparation into things that 1) I really have no need for 2) I have to pay OOP for just to roll ECB's. Sad, sad day.....

Hi All! I haven't been here because I haven't been doing much "hounding." I was lucky enough to buy about 18 bottles of Ken's dressing for FREE at Albertson's about two weeks ago. That was my last good "deal." Is it still slow??? I am running out of EB's to exchange for "fresh" ones with new expiration dates. I have been on vacation. I have had good reasons to go. I had a hysterectomy in February due to pre-cancerous cells. The doctor called it the beginnings of Uterine cancer. I also had my ovaries and tubes removed and they found a benign tumor and cysts in and on them. Anyway, I am recovering nicely and hopefully the oncology surgeon got everything out. No chemo or radiation, I just have to be monitored closely for the next 2 years, at least. I have had two surgeries and a lot of doctor appointments. The doctor says that while my prognosis is good, the cells left in my body have the potential to turn to cancer in the future. Not knowing what the future brings, I refuse to worry too much about it. I decided to go to Hawaii with DH and visit my relatives. I found tickets for $325.00 round trip with Hawaiian Airlines during the last week of August and first week of September (from Los Angeles). I found a hotel in the Marina section near Waikiki Beach. I bid for the room on Priceline and paid $100.00 a night. The hotel and room was beautiful. Well worth the money. Anyway, I had to share about my last-minute trip. We had such a good time that my DH said that he wants to take more of them. I know that the deals have not been great, but we can still save on whatever we have to buy and do. Also, it makes me glad that I have such an enormous stockpile to live on, LOL. Keep sharing your deals as you find them. Mahalo (thank you) for being such great people and sharing with us. I have slowed down because of my circumstances and the deals in my area have been dismal, but I still like to save! I am in San Diego. I have been here since I got off of the train yesterday at 4:30. There was a county-wide electric failure. No electricity. No trolley, so I looked for buses or a taxi. The buses and taxis were so stuck in traffic that I was walking faster. Two miles and 45 minutes later, I got to my hotel. My DH was frantic as my phone wasn't working. The restaurants weren't serving food, and thank goodness I had a box of FREE Mult-grain Cheerios in DH's car. We ate the Cheerios plain, without milk in a bar at the hotel. We shared some with business associates and strangers. People were hungry, LOL. Anyway, you never know what happens, so keep some free food in your car. I will stop by later. Going out to lunch with DH.

Awww SuziQ, I'm so sorry what you've been through medically! And I am SO glad you went on such a fun exciting vacation! Now, do you live in San Diego or are you just there as part of your vacation? The deals have been dead, dead, dead for over a week now! But I think I just stumbled on a little thing today & will post later if it works out.

Hi suzi!! CVS QUESTIONCan anyone tell me how much you have to spend on a new ECB card before it will give you CRTs at the red machine? I thought it would give CRTs right away (without even purchasing something), but I got the "NO COUPONS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME" message. So I bought a package of gravy mix that was on clearance for $.25 yesterday, thinking that after that I would get CRTs after that. I scanned it today and got the "NO COUPONS..." message again. Next week I will use it to buy Dawn dish liquid (about $.32 OOP after coupon) and see if that triggers CRTs at the red machine, but thought someone here might have a clue.

Dancin according to a CVS mgr friend they are tied to your card but not in that way. the red machine will spit out more coupons to people who either don't shop there that often or shop there for the "right" things like Rx's. For people who shop there fairly regularly, I think defiened as 2 or more times a month, it only spits out the gauranteed ones listed in the ad or on your cars account. Other than that nothing but coupons trying to push things like overpriced bottled water from the fridgeor nothing at all. Suzie I am glad you are doing better from all your medical stuff. And so glad you had a much deserved vacation that you loved!

Suzi, Wow, what a vacation! Remember to pay attention to what your doctors tell you and not over-do! Constanz, keep checking in! You also have to remember to rest! One of the suppliers I use sent an e-mail saying they had to evacuate. Not a good situation where you are. Shopping pretty much has sucked, so you really aren't missing much except all of our best wishes. I have a bunch of Wags RR's that will expire next week with nothing that I want to even try to roll them into. I even tried to send DH today to buy mousetraps for a shed out in the very back of the yard. He understands coupons, but doesn't understand EB's and RR's so, since they didn't have a picture of a mousetrap or a mouse, he didn't even bother going to the store. He said "I know you can get them for free, however you do it." So, this weekend, and sort of following Frugalsuz, it will be mouse traps and pantry items. I've yet to have the Jewel/Albertsons or Dominicks/Safeway accept Wags RR's, and I admit, they win. I'm tired of fighting with them. I'm not crying poor with two loaves of bread under my arms, but I still like keeping my cash where it belongs. I hope things improve. On All You Magazine, Deal Seeking Mom's Blog has a link for $14.39 a year. I got my first subscription through her site a few years ago. Possibly you could check that out? I'm not sure that I'll renew after my subscription ends (next year). I usually can recover the price of the magazine using the coupons they provide, however, like with all coupons, I feel the value has lessened. The articles are still pretty interesting though.

Thanks for the deal info Leanna! I'll dig here in a minute and see if I've got any of the Old El Paso Q's to use. Right now free is my best friend, I've been dealing with some icky money messes that have me considering getting some outside assistance. Thankfully I know how to take care of myself and cook all those strange things like dry beans I'm not as confident about going a long period of time without grocery shopping as I might have been two years ago, when I moved into my apartment in April I had to start my pantry from scratch. I still open cupboards expecting to see things I used to keep on hand.

You're welcome SuziQ and ReneeJune.
I feel like one of those infomercials where they say, "But wait there's more!" So gals, WAIT! There's more! Wags Deal Alert! The Johnson & Johnson First Aid items are $2 off each item this week at Wags. I'm just going to post what I purchased. You can work your own deal depending on what your Wags has, and what the prices are: Purchases:(1) Johnson & Johnson Gauze Pads 10 Small Sterile Pads - $2.49 - $2 = .49 (1) Johnson & Johnson Hospital Grade Non-Stick Pads 10 Medium Triple Layer Non-Stick Pads $3.49 - $2 = 1.49 (2) Johnson & Johnson Waterproof Tape 1/2" x 5 yds $2.49 - $2 = .49 ea = .98 for both (1) Jr Mints 4 oz* = $1.29 Less:(2) $1.50/2 MQ's Johnson & Johnson Red Cross Brand Products (RP 7/31/11) OOP = $1.25 * This is embarrassing (maybe). I had planned to get the .25 Jr Mints, but this is a brand new Wags and they had NO .25 candy at the front! Now, I could have gotten a cheap school item I'm sure to absorb the .04 overage OR I could have just let the cashier know to adjust one of my coupons down. But I had Jr Mints in my head...so, well, there ya go. LOL In conclusion, you can get some Johnson & Johnson Red Cross items for free. You may need to buy something else small to absorb the overage if your Wags gets wiggy with coupons that are more than the transaction. Technically, they're supposed to adjust the coupons down, but personally I think it drives the cashiers crazy to have to do this. Enjoy!

I decided to have a couple of cards that I use ONLY when the red machine is spitting out CRTs for freebies. I will eventually "earn" $1 bag tag EBs, but have no intention of rolling any EBs on these cards. I'm hoping that once the card is able to activate the red machine, I will continue to be able to get CRTs from it even if I have not used the card in a month or so.

HOUND ALERT - IP Coupon if you can print and scan it. It seems to only print once. Please message me for my email if you don't have it already! It is for $1 off Johnsonville Sausage patties. If anyone has any of the BOGO coupons left from a while ago and isn't going to use them if you could scan and e-mail those as well! let me know if there is anything you want back! Here is the direct link for the coupon - coupons2.smartsource.com/smartsource/index.jsp?Link=OZZF2WDZTYY3A TIA!!

Suzi: Prayers for your complete recovery. I'm glad you got to take a nice trip.
I guess I'm still in the Rite Aid game. It seems so long since I've done any deals there that I forgot about my discount. I had to add a chocolate cherry candy to finish my little deal. I bought 2 Carefree and 1 Scope and paid $.47 and saved $6.00 using 3 Ups and $3.00 in Q's. It looks like I got 2 $1.00 UPs for the Carefree. Did anyone else get $2.00 in UPs?
Meijer: They are starting the Kraft $5.00 catalina when you buy 10 certain Kraft items, like cheese. This was like last year when we had those $5.00 cheese IPQ's. Has anyone seen any good cheese coupons?

Good morning ladies. I am going to try to post a pic of my town. Not really sure how to do it or if it will work... I will be (slowly and carefully! LOL) filling bags of donations today. I just heard that the church down the street from my house is accepting them today. I will have my dad or neighbor load my car and hopefully someone at the church can help unload. Another wonderful benefit of having a stockpile!

It worked! I live less than a mile from the bridge you see in the left corner of the photo, luckily up on a hill...

Another wonderful benefit of having a stockpile! constanz: Thank you for your generosity to your community.
