Offer: I have a few Safeway Q's from a magazine. I'd be happy to send them out since we don't have any around here. They expire 9/30. There is $1 off Any Totino's pizza stuffers, Pills breakfast sandwiches or Eggo muffin tops, $5/15 frozen items, $1/1 Open Nature product and $1/1 frozen Safeway Store brand products. constanz: glad to hear you're doing better. If nobody else is interested in the $5/$15 coupons, I can sure use them. Dancin sent me a few, but with the great frozen food deals at Safeway this month, they make for some good deals. If someone else wants them though, please let them have first shot. blues: Happy BD! lily: Welcome to a really friendly board! Good to have you here.

I can hardly wait... Did anyone read the comments? I have to say I thought the line "you guys all sound like a bunch of ignorant douche schnitzels" was pretty funny, although you probably can't use it much! (Or maybe you can, IDK...)

Oh boy...adding fuel to the fire. Just what we needed a self-described "shelf clearer" who brazenly attempts to justify her greediness. It's gonna be a tough year girls. Hey, maybe this could start a new income stream for dancin! Just think of it...you too could own your very own dancinmama disguise kit (copyright 2011) for when you want to use a bunch of coupons, but you don't want fellow shoppers to call you an extreme couponer!

Since we're having such a slow hounding time...I thought I'd share something about my dinner (which is about groceries.) For July 4th, we had bbq'd some of those Oscar Meyer hot dogs that are nitrite/nitrate free (I'm allergic to those preservatives, so I am thrilled these are on the market.) We didn't eat 'em all, so I froze some that we had bbq'd. Yeah, I realize that probably sounds really weird to freeze cooked hot dogs. But why not? These days things are costing so much I feel obligated to do even more to keep our costs down. Well, I just microwaved a couple of them that I froze - and yum - seriously - tasted fresh - surprisingly! So, lol, for anyone who would happen to want to know how bbq'd hot dogs taste if you freeze 'em...now you know! I do this and feed them to DH all the time! He loves them, and it is great to not have to fire up the grill all the time...

I noticed that in next week's CVS ad, they have Dawn Dish Liquid on sale for $.99. In the last P&G Brand Saver there was a $.75/1 on the renewal variety so $.24 plus tax per bottle. I looked at the bottles and they have reduced the quantity AGAIN. In just about a year's time they have decreased the quantity from 11 oz. to 10 oz. and now down to 9 oz. That is an 18% decrease in product for the same sales price. If you use Dawn and have not yet stockpiled it, $.24 plus tax is a pretty good price; better if you can pay your OOP with EBs. ETA: I noticed that some lucky people got $1/1 off Dawn in their P&G inserts - all the better cuz then it's FREE!! ;D Funny you mentioned that...a week or so ago I bought some at CVS when it was on sale, and they had both bottles sitting beside each other on the shelf. I thought maybe they had redesigned the bottles until I checked the ounces. Sneaky little devils, aren't they?

Happy Birhtday, Blues! Hope you've had a great day!! Dancin', since you have so much sugar, how about some 'rtia's instead of cakes??? :-) NAG: So my 7-year old is in a wedding this coming New Years Eve. The bride found the dress she wanted her to wear, so I went online tonight to order it. Well, it was already on sale for $56.95 (from $110)..I then found a coupon code to take off an additional 5%, so something like $54 before the $12.00 shipping... So $66 after shipping and taxes and discount taken off. The BEST part?? When I logged in to my PayPal account, I found a credit for $73.00 from 2008 that I had forgotten all about!! I just bought my daughter's Jr. Bridesmaid dress for, drumroll please... $0 OOP!! :-) The credit was from something I bought for my brother to give our parents for Christmas...back in 2008.. Guess this would qualify for a case of SEVERE CRS??? :-) Not much shopping for me the past few weeks...not a lot of time and not a lot that we need. I'm trying to eat from the freezer since we have so much in there right now. Oreo, I apologize, but I don't recall what area of the country you are from, or if you have an Aldi's around, but I recently bought a 4-pound bag of sugar there for just under $2.00. I have one box of brown sugar left from the 17-pounds I started with at the beginning of the year. And dishwasher detergent? Yeah, we still have 5 boxes of the Electrasol from the really good Q that came out at the beginning of the year:) Hopefully I'll have enough to last until the next good Q....:-) Ok. Enough of my random thoughts! missourimommy: Darn, if I had thought of it, we could have had a virtual BD party for blues at my house. and for all!! Glad to see you post. It's a great time for a break cuz the deals have been dismal. All I can say is, "Thank goodness for stockpiles." Great job on the dress for your DD.

They were from a magazine. I can send them all, if you want...let me know. NAG: Please pray for us. If anyone wants to "see" where I live, just turn on the Weather Channel. We are having historic flooding and have had over 10 inches of rain in the past 24 hours. We had a 500 year flood just FIVE years ago that devastated the area and this is worse. Totally unbelievable....My house is on high ground so I am safe. Basement has about 3 inches of water in it and I can not do anything about it, can't move/lift anything, etc. This sucks...

constanz - I am so sorry to hear about more flooding. Glad to hear you will be fine. Just take it easy. Hopefully family can help you out with the clean-up.
Sugar prices --- I was wondering what good prices were on this myself. Giant Eagle has it for $3.00, but with the .50 q, it will be $2. I think I will pick up 2, because I have zero stockpile on this item and I know I will use it with the holidays around the corner. And if it goes for less around the holidays, I'll stock up even more.

I saw in a preview that it was for the 128 oz. size so I wasn't getting excited. I need some excitment in my life...well, the good kind (no ER visits please).

Yesterday you couldn't go outside without smelling smoke. I am happy that the temps are under 100F now. Yup! I am the eternal optimist.

Anyone heard of the 'dailymonth grocery saver' uh, club? My MIL got contacted about joining and I am the one looking to see if it's legit and worth it. Google is my next stop but I figured at least one of you on here may have heard something about it. Thanks!

Thanks! pudgybunny - I have not heard of them, but please do not have her sign up for anything - most of these websites link to coupons.com/smart source or other store websites that are free. There is no need to pay money for something that you can get for free. Tell her to sign up for free blogs for her state or area and they will link to all coupons from their site.

I just want to say THANK GOD FOR STOCKPILES! Our one and only grocery store is under 5 feet of water, all roads surrounding me are flooded and impassable and likely will be for days. This is horrible, but, I don't NEED a thing....(except someone to pump 3" of water out of my basement) Maybe I can pay them in food...LOL...now that's a thought!

Just came from Safeway in the next town over (had to go get a crown - I feel like a queen ;D ) and was able to snag (2) chickens for $.45/lb. They are on sale this week for $.89 and I found (2) that expired today and were 50% off. They have (2) Safeways in that town, so I decided to check out the other one too (it's on the way home) and I found (3) MORE chickens. They had 30% off stickers instead of 50% off. I asked the butcher and that store doesn't mark their poultry down to 50% off at the beginning of the day. I took a pass. If I can pick up a couple @ 50% off every time they go on sale, I'll be doing really well. $2.50 for a big fat chicken is pretty cheap. ;D

Kitty: That's a great idea about the hotdogs. I want DH to grill a few things for our freezer now while the weather is nicer. It makes for good eating this winter.
Constanz: My thoughts and prayers are going out to you. I live in an area that has had two bad floods within the last 5 years, so I know what you're going through.
Missourimommy: Terrific deal on the dresses, especially since you weren't expecting it. What a windfall!
Walmart: Late last night on our way home from shopping, I stopped at Walmart to buy 3 bananas, radishes and 8 of the smaller Simple Lemonade and orange juice. I pricematched Meijers @ $.99 each and had 8 $1.00 coupons. Of course, there was a delay as the young cashier went to show my coupons to a manager, thinking they were frauds. I told the manager I used 2 computers and one is out of colored ink and that I would sign my name to the back of them if she doubted me. I also told her to look at the numbers on the coupons and I don't know if she believed me, but I got the drinks free. It's one more reason why I hate shopping there. It should've been a really quick trip and it took way longer than it should have.

I thought the CVS bottle on sale was 50 oz. Does anyone know? I think the CVS as says 25-33 loads. That sounds like a much smaller bottle. Constanz, I hope you don't have any more flooding. Stay safe and we will all be hoping and praying for you to come through this just a little bored and ready to get out of the house.
