Actually, I'm not a newbie. I just disappeared for a long time. laterbloomer and missrigby can vouch that I was a regular at the other joint. Laterbloomer, have you blossomed? Most of us suffer from CRS, so if you weren't a regular, we probably wouldn't remember.

CVS fans: the magic red machine is giving out $3 off 2 Mitchum deodorants, and they are on sale for $1.99 this week! If you have the .75 off q, that makes 2 Mitchums for .23! Even without the .75 q, it still makes for some very cheap Mitchum!

Wags is going to be a good week this coming Sunday 9/25 - lots of free after RR:
Zarbee's nighttime cough & sleep med Remington KOS Razor Walgreens brand maxi pads
And with the new q's on coupons.com for the Schick Quattro, free Schick Quattro razor or refill after RR and mq.
You can see the ad on iheartwags.com to check out all the deals. Or wait for FrugalSuz to post the details on her blog.
NAG Am swamped with packing up the rental house and trying to get the house we bought clean enough to live in. But, all is good - am happy to be a homeowner again. And am very glad I stockpiled like crazy because the new house is a bit of a drive to RA & Wags.

hey hound friends. i'm just popping in during lunch to say hi. i don't have i-net at home anymore (been gone for a month) so i try to check in during the week but found i hadn't been on the thread since 9/9 & was too far behind to read what's going on. i can't contribute any deals since i'm not really shopping. i'm trying to live off the stockpile through the end of the year at least. i've been over-budget buying some deals the last month or so....so i just have to stop shopping period. i haven't been to target in 3 weeks except for 1 sale item because when i browse the clearance i inevitably want to buy it all. i do want to say a huge THANK YOU to all the hounds that answered past hound alerts & helped me stockpile certain things before DH moved out. i am also very sorry i have not been able to reciprocate very well & without i-net at home i probably won't be able to do much at all. Welcome back. You didn't miss any deals the past few weeks - things have been dead. But the deals are revving up again. Wags is going to be good 9/25. RA is going to be good 10/9. As others have said, just ask if you need things. Don't worry if you can't reciprocate at the moment. Good idea to avoid the stores if that is too much temptation for you.

Just when I'm ready to get back in the game! Lol...actually, I already am back in as I've done a couple small deals here and there so have RR, Ups, and EB to work with. Got my good razor q's printed too! I think the charmin deal is decent too if anyone needs tp, 2.99 for a 6 pk. Buy 2 and use $1/2 PG Q. Not a stock up price but good if you need tp and have RR's to burn.

Ok, 2 strange things...one, there's been NO posts here all day! Two, when I just tried to enter the page, I got a strange message saying I didn't have "permission" to access it...WTF?! Anyway, just wanted to post a heads up re: the Free Soda or Candy CVS facebook Q. It is "up to $2.00" and automatically takes off $2 ;D I bought a 2 ltr. of Sierra Mist, on sale for 1.50 and a can of cat food for .57 and paid a total of .13 OOP! And, I got my $1 for my bag tag! Sweet ETA: Any keurig fans...WalMart had the boxes of Vanilla Iced Coffee K-cups for $1 on clearance!! I don't drink iced coffee, but, heck, I'll try it for $1!

I have been lurking as there have been really no deals to post about. I was using the PA Grocery store more since the winter and did quite well on some deals but have moved across country and now am in Las Vegas. DH and i came here for a vacation in December and we both really liked it. We ended up buying a house end of July. ;D Property prices are lower than back east, the weather is better and we hope it will be our retirement place for the years to come. We are getting a head start and plan to pay off as much as possible before the clock gets to 65 or 67 whatever the age is. So the first major thing i have noticed is there are no Double's.So that puts an end to the good times. Also most items have between $1-$1.50 per item higher price than PA. That is a real shocker. Funny thing is we bought 100lbs of stockpile items in 2 suitcases from PA. I barely bought any clothes as its hot but my stockpile was the #1 thing on my list. Thank goodness i did that it has saved me trips to the store aswell as a whole bunch of $$$. (my car is still in PA so its a half mile hike each way to the CVS and smith's supermarker) DH has a few days off and is coming to visit me next week and i will have anew list of things for him to bring from the stockpile and cheaper supermarket back home. As soon as CVS decides to get its act together and make some deals for me that are worth the mile walk i will go there I have visited and horror of horror's it appears there are shelf clearers in Vegas!! Thats not kool at all. I thought they would all be in the Casino but coupon's must be big here. As i am on the West coast now our sale may start at 9pm Sat ats that would be 3 hours behind ET. That might be the best time to visit. I have been keeping up with you all and i do remember you too Hootie. I hope someone remembers me if not i have been rambling to myself writing this for the past 10 minutes and that would be very lol

Walmart apparently has a 12-pack of those for $1.99, so there a little overage there. Yay. I agree that the deals have been less than stellar lately, so I grab them when I can. I did this deal at Walmart and for $2.21 I bought a gallon of milk @ $2.50 (pricematch), 48 razors and a can of salmon. I used two $6.00/2 Schick IPQ's and $1.00 milk MQ that was mailed to me. I have a Walmart wishlist for free items when there's overage and today my overage almost covered my salmon for $4.28. At Rite Aid, I bought 3 tubes of Crest, one was a raincheck, and a nail polish remover pad and paid $.93 OOP and earned $2.00 in UPs. I used 2 $2.00 MQ's, $1.00 MQ and $2.00 in UPs. I guess I'm still in the Rite Aid game. Hopetoberich: I remember you. It's good to see you post again.

hopetoberich: Of course we remember you and welcome to the western US!! ;D Try to hang in there. We are all hoping that the lack of deals is temporary. Isn't a little hot in Vegas to be walking a mile? I don't think there is ANYTHING coming up at CVS worth walking a mile in the heat for.

LOL hot as $#@# i only go outside to dip my feet in the pool! Close to 100 degree's today. Glad i was remembered. Like i said the stockpile is really helping in this expensive side of the country. I bought lots of bar soaps are they are easier to carry than shower gels and won't leak during a trip. My big problem though is how to get all the Tide liquid and downy out here. DH said if it all leaks it will ruin his case. I actually put an emergency amount in 2 Dawn bottles and that is what i am using. They want $15.99 for the medium size bottle here. I have 11 in PA i got for around $4 each. I am so glad i jumped on the deals that i did when i did if you know what i mean. They don't seem to be repeating them lately.I know summer is slow but this is nearly Oct and things should be better by now deal wise. Oh well. I am very happy to be in a new place. We have a pool and hot tub too. But i have no idea how to work all the valve's. I am trying to study that like i did when i was learning to use mq's. The CVS cashier's are very nice here. I don't expect any prob's using mq's when i get some.

Gonna have to seek the best price instead of the balance of price and reward(UPs, ECBs, RRs). Times is getting tough kidlets....

You buy the "bag tag" at the register. It's on a little green and tan cardboard in the shape of a leaf. They are usually .99. Present it to the cashier every time you check out and use your own bag. They will scan it and it will register on your card. For every 4 scans, you earn $1 EB, which will print on your receipt after the 4th scan. The bag tags are not card specific but will only register once per day. HTH!

I hadn't set foot in the store since the after Christmas sales. I detest WM, but, I had something to return that I had bought online like 2 months ago, so, since I had those Q's and knew they were a MM, I bit the bullet and did it. I bought 4 of the Schick 10 packs+bonus for 1.97 each and got over $4 in overage, which was nice cuz I needed a couple other things. Unfortunately, I only have ink in one printer right now, so, I was only able to print 2 of each of those great Q's. Next week at Wags is a good week for the $5/1 Schick Q's.

You would think so, dancin, but one of them came back for a second go. She was featured on the original EC special (before it was a series) and then appeared again in one of last season's episodes. She was one of the worst of the bunch too...full-on hoarder and a complete bitch to her husband. I felt bad for him.
I did notice that they've started putting a disclaimer at the beginning of episodes that basically says: Just because we're doing this on the show doesn't mean you're really allowed, so make sure you check with your stores beforehand to see what they'll let you do when there are no TV cameras involved.

I hate that on EC they don't explain how someone got 600 of one coupon in the first place to be able to break policy. What are they paying for that quantity? That needs to be shown in their totals.

Just what I thought - the show is only about $$$$ for the couponer and store featured and TLC - nothing else. It was a stretch in the first season because I don't think the majority of people in the country have stores that double coupons, but to show something that no one can duplicate no matter what is a total waste for a show like this. I didn't even find it very entertaining. As a matter of fact, after the first couple of episodes it became repetitive - another face showing us their stockpile, clipping tons of coupons, going into a store and loading up with great deals, gets to the register and is nervous because it's their "biggest haul ever" and they no way have the money to pay for all the stuff in their cart, they deal with some glitch at checkout - the computer won't accept any more coupons or whatever, they get their lowest total ever, everyone applauds, and they leave happy. Next face - same story. I was shocked it was renewed.

Skubikky: I was hoping to use a couple more of those coupons and pricematch Big Lots sale on All detergent for $4.00. Somewhere I read that they have it for that price and they said we had $2.00 MQ's. I only have $1.00 Q's, so I have to do some more thinking on that. Pecans are also on my Walmart overage wish list but I'd like to pricematch that with a good sale.

RE Extreme Couponing show: I've only watched one episode cuz my satellite dish just got repaired! At any rate, it was a woman who, as Dancinmama said, had all kinds of drama at checkout. They did say she spent @ 70 hours/week searching/researching/clipping/buying q's and shopping. Her whole house was filled to the brim. I believe she spent @ $80 or so on q's for the trip they showed--something like that. At any rate, her before q total was a little over $1,000. Her after q total was a little over $100. I did the exact math afterwards, and her savings was in the 80% range when you include what she spent on the q's. That's the piece they conveniently forget to figure in at the end. That % is above mine at the grocery store, but she had some doubles (Kroger does that in the mid-west, right? Think she lived in Cincinatti). At any rate, with q's, loyalty card etc., my grocery store savings can be anywhere from 60-80%. So, although I'm not an extreme couponer, I'd take my cart over hers anyday. My biggest expense is for produce and I try to mitigate that by going to a great produce stand every now and again--it's 16 miles away but close to my old work. I'm taking a class there on Mondays, so I stop at the stand to stock up. Also grew my own tomatoes (the squirrels actually left them alone this year!) and my strawberry patch was fantastic! Even with that, I probably spend at least $30 week on produce--we are fruit and veggie fanatics!

Athough there haven't been many great deals lately, I have been the beneficiary of that $3 off $10 WAGS q that's good at the new location only. Went yesterday and bought: 3 Kotex tampons $9.00 2 Gain dish detergent $4.38
Less: $3/$10 q $4/2 Kotex q (can't remember where I got this q but was happy to have it!) 2/.50 Gain q's WAGS in ad q for Gain -$1.20 per bottle
Total was $3.60 with tax. Rec'd $3RR for Kotex
I think I may go back today as I have one $3/$10 q left. Will do: 4 M&M's = $10.00
Minus: $3/$10 Wags q 1$1.50/2 IP (just printed--thanks MyFrugalAventures 2 $1 M&M Pretzel q's (9/11 SS?) $3 RR
Total: .50 Will receive $5RR (I think MFA said this was a monthly RR)
I love getting the $ off store q's--it helps so much when putting scenarios together.
I'm so bummed RA isn't giving the $1 Wellness q anymore on their Video Values. Even that one was very helpful. Oh well...

Hey ladies,
Has anyone done the buy 8 save 4 promo at SW? Are there any good deals that you can post? I need the barilla whole wheat pasta, but I am not seeing anything else. TIA.
I have just been buying one revlon at CVS for the past 2 days to try to roll my ECB and get to the 50$ beauty bucks, but other than that I have nothing else.
