We best wait till the facts are gathered before jumping to conclusions. To much speculation in the air at present.
My sympathies to all the families of the victims and may the good Lord heal the wounded.
The only thing certain at present that there was a nut case loose.

No sane person kills for political 'motives'. In America we settle our disputes at the ballot box. In fact any rational person would know that it hurts your cause by about a factor of 1000 rather than helps your cause to kill people.

this has all gone too far now. THIS is what happens when hate is preached and violence against a differing political view is encouraged. NO politician EVER deserves to have their life taken away from them like this. NO ONE.

Let's not forget that dear sweet Sarah Palin had a map with a gunsight as a target on politicians that she disagreed with. Congresswoman Gifford was one of those "targets".

Short memories. Is one extreme better than the other? Is some party line allegiance to the point of hatred of another justified?

Ending it of course bills, which is why I do not believe in ascribing the ravings or actions of madmen to any specific political , religious, or social block. Get my drift. Every time something like this happens it is polarized, politicized and capitalized on by one party or another in order to further their agendas. I am not a tool. I also believe that it is possible to carry guns, form solid opinions, have a specific world view, and have differences of opinion regardless of what is "preached" without resorting to violence. A mentally unstable maniac is what caused this and for all I know he did it to garner the affection of Jodie Foster..................

Maybe, but both Political Parties bare responsibility. The blood is on the hands of both Democrats and Republicans - and now the Revolution slowly begins - People will fight to gain back what is rightfully theirs, their country and their freedom. This is what happens when Governments ignore, rape and pillage their fellow countrymen.

Reuters is apparantly wrong, although I have no personal knowledge, a state senator from Arizona was just on Fox and reported that she is 'alive and responding to commands'....could be bad info who knows.

True, but when you keep ignoring the will of the people, when you give them no hope for their future or the future of their children, more and more people will come to realize the corruption of the government. I in no way condone what this madman has done, nor do I know his motives but in my perspective the government is pushing people to their tipping point.

It's not about who does/doesn't want revolution, it is about the fact that people always turn to violence as a final means of being heard when all other avenues have been perceived to have failed. Of course everyone perceives things differently which is why seemingly isolated events such as this occur. It remains to be seen it these events will become the rule rather than the exception as things devolve economically and socially. If any here expect that the masses will quietly watch as their quality of life goes down the drain due to political machinations they are, quite possibly, in for a rude awakening.
