"Today's market finish PROVES banks are garbage. "
Please provide said "proof" in the form of named banks, confirmed trading volume, etc. Please provide backup info on what stocks are "fake". You guys just make this shit up as you go. Do valuations change in any market? Sure. Is the entire stock market "fake" with no value? Now you're just being silly. But then again, you're the guy that believe ATT is run and manned by a dozen guys in their garage too. Sorry V.L., but 150 point isn't a "major" selloff these days.

V_L, Take some time off from the boards. You have become nothing but a pain in the back-side to most everyone here. I'm done with you. Adios.

I have never observed a moderator/poster go from being a very sensible person to making completely silly & irritating statements! "close the banks, close wall street"-I can't take it anymore!!
Maybe working in the banking industry for too many years will do this to you?

" Is there anyone still out there who DOES NOT THINK and doesn't see closing the banks and collapsing Wall Street as literally the last resort to SAVE AMERICA? "
Yeah, pretty much everyone else but ...oh...3 of you.

Hi Kman,FTI,Frankq & others, Yes,I still lurk occassionally but will rarely post.
Remember my old 1% theory from my 40+years in manufacturing on people. 95%-basically good. 4%-basically bad,but controllable. 1%-real bad-uncontrollable,unmanageable & completely unchangeable & completely unsalvageable!!
I also notice how many of the good posters are gone from MT who had many diagreements, different ideologies from me but never got personal.(Jeez, even though I have a Canadian/Kiwi socialist streak!
Thought the 1% would be forced out by by the 99%by now but he-oops-the 1% is still here.
Keep up the good fight.

303 down on a Friday. The whole globe is suspect of Germany's assurance that they'll bail whoever fails when Greece does. AS Greece does-- Germany gives you Monopoly money for your losses. Anyone with a half a brain looks at Germany and sees-- what-- as an assurance that they can back that phony money. "Adapting is my strong suite." Grammar isn't. It's a strong "suit." "Adapting" is finding yourself in a new city to meet new clients about different areas of business-- every week for years because it was a necessary component of stability and you did it well- is a strong suit. It isn't about wearing out stools at a drawing board and replacing a coffee mug that finally broke but was disgusting to look at-- because both were employed DAILY for years. It isn't about making a living in Detroit and relocating to a dirt-poor area in the South after a cheapskate life on an upper middle class weekly-paid wage, because it continues to emulate the cheap--- and becoming a stock trader money grubber instead of letting that money course through a stressed and needy economy. Me thinks your idea of "adaptation" is going from Charmin to Kroger brand TP because it was on sale. Thats it ? Some fictional story of what you thought my life was/is? Thanks for adding humor to my day. For some reason I was expecting a little more depth. Being a tried and true capitalist, I will let my money course through the stressed and needy economy, as I spend it on myself and family! Come up with something I want and you can have some too! (Modified.... Oops, didn't see you were on a short vacation as I didn't read through from our last shared postings. Catch you on the return.)

VL's account is active again? It shows as "activated". I don't know why he's not posting recently. I miss the verbal sparring.

Doubt it....
AAPL 422 14 Oct 2011 398 21 Oct 2011
And we will see where APPLE is in a few months after the $199.00 Kindle Fire and other I-Pad and I-Phone competitors eat into Apple market shares.
APPL below 300 in 6 to 12 months

You told us you already got out of your Apple shorts.

ROTFL Boy, oh boy, I would love to see you find THAT post from me. USA1 You either have me mixed up with someone else or need some more coffee. Simply consider the source. This from the same poster who actually thought Best Buy was part of the DOW 30 stocks.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A reminder that the controllers went all-in making last week up to end the down streak. Should pretty well give away what this week will be like. Old folks die daily, so the pool of fool monies manipulated by "big" is getting smaller.
Dow-- under 9,000 by 10/31............................................................[How's this August prediction looking so far V_L ? I'm glad I didn't take "stock" in your advice.]

jma23 VL is long gone! He is very busy shuttering BANKS & WALL STREET!! Hi Ivandorma. I hope everything is well with you. You always remind me that even though we will be experiencing winter in a little while, you will be experiencing summer. V_L may have been the canary in the coal mine concerning shuttering the banks. Iceland seems to have decided to do the same thing. The riots in Greece indicate that population may not have any objections to that either. There is a small movement in the USA that recently started that also advocates breaking up the big banks into itsy bitsy pieces so that their reckless behavior will not bring the economy to a halt again. Hopefully, V_L will get his wish.

Hi Neoh, Hope all is well with you & yours. Good to see, your always, common sense postings.
Yes,I agree TBTF should be broken up.But VL just became to extreme for me.
I believe Glass-Stengall should not have been revoked. This was the big opening for excessive greed & consequently "absolute power". OOPS!there is my inherited socialism streak again!
Anyway,I leave for warmer climes on Nov.27th. I will continue lurking & there are good signs of a more civil board, which may have me post more regularly. Cheers.

Hello Ivan, V_L does seem to have taken a turn to the extreme side of things over the last year or so. I guess I was naively optimistic that the intelligence that he has would allow him to see himself from outside the place he seems to have put himself into. He does have a huge ax to grind against the banking industry like many, but I sometimes wonder if it was at a more personal level for him after losing his job in the very same industry. I don't know if he's been perma banned from here.
