I went to CVS for the Skippy deal because we were down to our very last jar--Yikes! And I was so happy because my RP q was $1/2 this time!! Mine are usually .50/2 or, on a good day, .75/2! This was my deal:
16 jars various Skippy: $26.67
2 Dove shampoo: $6.00
Total: $32.67 + .43 tax= $33.00
Minus: 8 $1/2 man q's 7/31 RP 1 BOGOF Dove man q 7/31 $3/$15 CVS q from Weight Watchers weekly handout $13.25 EB's
Paid: $5.67 and rec'd a $10 Shell gas card
I had to really scramble to get the 8 Skippy q's. Good thing my friends/neighbors don't use q's!

Had a good trip to WAGS after work last night. Needed hair color and they were 2/$13 and H needed glucose tabs. So I knew I would be spending about $16. So I bought two Complete eye solutions separately and got $16 in RR's. Also the Special K bars were 4/$10 and I had a rain check for BOGO so I bought 4 and got the $5 RR. Also had coupons for FREE Panteen ($4.99) and two free Suave hair products for up to $3.00 so bot $10.99 for FREE. Turned around and used the RRs for what I originally needed. I was happy. On second thought I need to check my receipt as I'm not sure if she scanned the in-store Q for the hair color. Oops!!! Nice job Kathy! Very smart in doing your transactions that way. Way to roll the RR's!

Thanks Murpath for sharing your thoughts on tp. We are a 2 ply Cottonelle household, so I always go for the low price on that. I have a nice stock of it right now, thanks to a good price I got the prior month at Fred Meyers and then an even better price at Kmart recently. I actually did get some of that free TP at RA earlier this year.

I did the Cottonelle deal at CVS and the RA TP deal that Dancinmama mentioned. It's amazing how long those packages lasted! Dancinmama: Just curious--did you see the chicken recipes I posted? It inspired me to make the Chinese chicken salad yesterday. Yum!
murphath: I felt SOOOOOO lucky to be able to get the free TP at CVS and RA. We are STILL using the RA TP that I got in January. We started using it immediately. I didn't like it AT ALL at first, but it's amazing how quickly you can get used to something - especially when it's FREE. ;D I still have about a dozen packages left so it MIGHT get us through October. Then I'll break into the Cottonelle from WAGs. I still have some of the Cottonelle from CVS, but it is stored on a high shelf in the office so I won't break into it until I absolutely have no other TP in the house. I'd love to see another really great TP deal before the end of the year, but I'm not holding my breath. And yes, I did see the recipes. THANK YOU!! I make broccoli slaw all the time and am anxious to try the dressing recipe that you posted the next time I make it. I have all the ingredients already in my kitchen; they are all items I use in other recipes or for oriental dipping sauces.

I stockpiled it when CVS had a similar deal and I was able to use $1/1 Skippy coupons compliments of one of Safeway's coupon booklets. I stockpiled the week CVS originally had the sale AND got a rain check and stockpiled it again right before the Skippy coupons expired. Now, I think I have enough peanut butter to last us a year to a year and a half that was absolutely free. DH goes through a jar about every 2-3 weeks!! I always panic when I get down to about (6) jars.

I have a friend whose go to item was TP if there was nothing else to roll her ECBs into and she says that she has 2 years worth of TP stocked up. I don't think RA and Wags have that many deals on TP - at least since I have been looking.

Shyeviolet I am in the Chicago burbs. I am aware of 2 bloggers somewhat specific to metro Chicago: mashupmom and chi-town cheapskate. Both are in the western burbs so they cover stores not in my area. But they still DO cover the majors (Dominicks, Jewel, Meijer) and CVS + WAG. Personally I find it MUCH cheaper to shop at the ethnic, produce and independent markets. PM me so we can compare specific areas/stores and I may be able to help. NOTE: I am ONLY on the computer VERY early in the morning. Hi. There are a couple others. Savemoresharemore.com and Jill Cataldo's blog are also good. Hope this helps. Thank you ladies! I'm off to check them out!

leanna: Most of my free TP has been from the drug chains and usually using "for profit" rewards and rain checks to get it. Other than that, I did get a "decent" deal at Safeway once by stacking a rain check with another deal (buy X packages or more and get $.50 off per package or something like that) AND using a coupon, which turned out to give me "almost free" TP; I did another complicated deal at CVS about 1 1/2 years ago that yielded (6) 20 count, double roll packages of Cottonelle for free, and the latest was the freebie deal at Rite Aid in January of this year. A lot of the gals who get doubled coupons used to be able to get free Angel Soft (4 pks.) all the time (on sale for $1 and using a $.50/1 any Angel Soft, doubled); but I don't think that has happened in quite some time. I would guess that getting free TP outright, like beachbum is able to do this week with the single rolls of Marcal, is becoming almost unheard of. I think using the backdoor approach of using excess rewards to pick it up at the drug chains when it is on sale is probably a lot more common. I know I stockpiled when I could get the Angel Soft to double. Now I know I stockpiled Angel Soft with the doubling of coupons at Frys they sale the 4 packs for $1.00 or $1.25. But now it's hard to find an Angel Soft coupon that allows you to purchase the 4 packs. I did this with Cottonelle as well, but my Frys quit selling the 4 packs of the Cottonelle. It was great while it lasted. I bought a lot of the 4 packs of TP when Wags had clearance on their brand too. I think It was clearance for .25. Some one on this board posted about that clearance and I ran down to my Wags and they had 30 or 40 in stock. I was so happy to find that deal.

Used a $1/$5 produce q at Safeway for the last time yesterday. What a sad day. Lol. Now I'll have to go eat processed foods. I'm totally kidding!

That was a sad, sad day. So much free cottonelle. I'm still working through the 48-pack of marcal that I got with my staples rewards. I'll need to be on the lookout for paper towels next. I'm also hoping to use my last RA survey receipt this week, but I kind of doubt my stores will have any idea what to do with it...
leanna: Didn't you know that fruit roll ups are made with REAL fruit?
That and that $5 free V8 coupon should keep you going a while. I saw a thing on TV about a $5 coupon for free V8 juice. I haven't figured out how to get it yet. Am searching the internet.

I was so happy to find that deal. jeep: Ya, I think I've seen ONE Angel Soft coupon recently and I think it was for a 12-pk or larger. Toilet paper is just one example of a product that you cannot hold back on buying when you find an awesome deal. Some people might feel "strange" stockpiling 100 4-pks of TP when it is free or really cheap, but sometimes you just never know when you'll ever be able to get it at that price again and it is something that is used EVERY SINGLE DAY. Back in the day when aluminum foil was free all the time, I would debate with myself whether or not I should add to my stockpile. I always came to the conclusion that the freebies on aluminum foil might become a thing of the past and to get it while the gettin' was good. Sure enough, I haven't seen free foil in over a year now (since Reynolds changed the size restrictions on their coupons). Also, drug chain freebie offers on some things will come and go. Only a couple of years ago, I used to have to pay real money for saline solution; now it seems like there is a freebie deal on it almost every month somewhere. My rule of thumb has become, if it's a non-perishable and free, I have room to store it, AND it is CONVENIENT for me to pick up, I buy it. I can always opt to donate it later if I find I have over-stockpiled. So glad that you were able to take advantage of that WAGs TP clearance. I called my WAGs IMMEDIATELY after I heard about it and they had NONE.

Hey, I didn't get the doubled-coupon free TP and even I was bummed (for those of you who used to be able to get it). We just can't assume that anything we can get regularly for free today will still be free in the future - ESPECIALLY THESE DAYS!!

I am walking around with $1 Angel Soft coupons right now. But they are on 6pk or larger and I haven't found a great price on them.
How do you know what Catalinas will print? Fry's just gave an ecoupon for $2 on Cottonelle. Is there still a current cat on them?

This has been a great week for me. I got free TP and tissues as well as Cottonelle 12 pk double rolls for $2.50 each, with the catalinas. I have 2 kids though and TP is one of those things that looks like a lot and then it is almost gone in no time. Druing the school year peanut butter is another one. It is a strange feeling for me though this week considering that I can't remember ever getting a totally free item in my life other than a store having a BOGOF sale. P8NT, Thanks! I got your envie.

There is another one that is $3.50 for every 2 12 packs of double rolls also. I have heard of people buying the 4 packs and getting the $5 and the 2 $3.50's making them cost $3 for a 12 pack of double rolls after the cats. It can be even better if you have coupons and even better if your store will double. I don't know how to figure out if the second cat is national though. Hope it helps.

Leanna: Thanks for the envy.

Murpath: Great job at CVS! I stopped there today and the CRT gave me another $2.00 Gold Emblem chips Q, $3/10 cosmetic Q and $3/15 pharmacy Q. Walmart: I didn't go there today but yesterday I was looking at some Walmart deals which led me to a blog written by a dad of 7 children. iheartthemart I thought it was neat to see a man's blog.

Thanks beachbum. I was trying to find some kind of list because I heard about the new one and don't know if it's everywhere or regional.

Looks like there is a Cottonelle deal running at QFC and Krogers, for those who have those stores. I just saw the info on this website: couponconnections.com/

I FINALLY got the 1st of my Snapple rebates today. I had mailed it 3/26/11 - sheesh - over 4 months later! They had 2 rebate deals going. So I have a 2nd one that I mailed 4/23/11. Maybe I'll get that one in time to put towards my Thanksgiving turkey.

I purchased 4 cottonelle double roll 12 packs for $24 total and got back the $5 cat that is for Shoprite plus 2 $3.50 cats that are from Cottonelle. the cats actually don't look anything alike except that they are both good on anything in my next order. Now if only my purchase of 10 keebler products get $10 cat back had gone so well.
