There are new SC Johnson coupon booklets at Meijer with $19.00 worth of coupons. Last year there were several promotions with the Glade, Scrubbing Bubbles and Ziplock products. I loved the rebates they had too when you got $5.00 for buying any 3 products. As I recall, you could do several rebates. I wish they would bring that offer back. ruby: My DH is always finding coupon booklets in the scrubbing bubbles packages of toilet sponges. I have to remember to look in the packages for Q's before they might expire. That probably applies to many products that are packaged in a box.

Dancin' CRS is an understatement for me! The long hours and kids make me nuts I don't have long hours or kids at home, and I'm still nuts! Extreme CRS... I third that....

I would feel the same way as you with regard to using your stockpile like that. I kind of hate using paper towels just because I find it wasteful, even if they're free. When we go on vacation, we have a house sitter stay with our pets, and he must use paper towels for everything, because he goes through TONS of them. Our grown kids shop our stockpile, and I'm happy to have them do so, but we do hide a few of our 'prime' items to keep for ourselves. Sometimes I feel a little guilty, but not for long! RE: going through lots of paper towels, I always remember the Sham-Wow guy saying "You're spending $20 a week on paper towels". I just would think, gee I thought we use a lot, but maybe only a roll a week or so. Maybe these are the people he was talking about! For sure! Holy mind loss Batman.....can you believe that I have a pile of those shamwows that DH got me a few years ago.....uhhhhhh.....guess I should pull them out of inventory and use them.....Hey if the TP deals evaporate ....I guess I could resort to ....oh....forget it...I was just kidding.

Shyeviolet I am in the Chicago burbs. I am aware of 2 bloggers somewhat specific to metro Chicago: mashupmom and chi-town cheapskate. Both are in the western burbs so they cover stores not in my area. But they still DO cover the majors (Dominicks, Jewel, Meijer) and CVS + WAG. Personally I find it MUCH cheaper to shop at the ethnic, produce and independent markets.
PM me so we can compare specific areas/stores and I may be able to help. NOTE: I am ONLY on the computer VERY early in the morning.

It is buy 4 get a $5 cat. The people who did it the first day 7/31 and bought 4 of the cottonell's got both the $4.50 and the $5.00. ;D Babs and DacinMama thanks for remembering me!

This was posted on hip2save for Huggies wipes this coming week 8/7. It says YMMV b/c it is using two Wags coupons
Huggies Baby Wipes 184 – 216 pack $5.99 Use the $0.50/1 coupon found in the 7/17 SS Plus, use the $2/1 Walgreens coupon found in the August Coupon Booklet And use the $2/1 Walgreens coupon found in the Infant Care Coupon Booklet Final cost ONLY $1.49! ** That is one heck of a price for this size package!
Now please note that this deal will in fact be a YMMV (your mileage may vary) as it will depend on how coupon friendly your Walgreens cashier is since you are using 2 Walgreens coupons on one item.
Per the Walgreens corporate coupon policy, “When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.” So I interpret this as allowing customers to use more than one Walgreens coupon on a single item.

Deb it's my father, sister, niece and her baby. So have your dad and sister moved in too? I was under the impression you just had the niece and baby living with you. Or are they just visiting? I hope they haven't all descended on you permanently! Yes. My dad came first bc he had been with the sister and niece. So he's been here about 2 months. Then sister, niece and baby came all together 6/25.

Skubikky: I bought a bunch of Magic Erasers that had several coupons inside the box package. One was a $1.00 Bounty coupon. I like finding these coupons because the expiration date is longer and they're pretty good coupons.

SuziQ:
I noticed on the "how long can you survive on your stockpile" thread, that you mentioned you had 3 years of toilet paper stockpiled. I think this is very cool, and am curious how you were able to stockpile that quantity.
I know I couldn't replicate it, since your stockpile is from sales' past. I'm just wanting to vicariously enjoy hearing how you did it.
I only started stockpiling this year. Prior to that, I did the Price Book method of buying enough at the "low" price until the next sale.
I'm presuming since you have that much stockpiled, it wasn't the "regular" sales price but rather some super amazing deal(s).

Let someone else have them.

Someone was looking for cheap Cottonelle TP. I read this on a local blog about Shoprite but there must be a way to find out about a new Cat on it.
"ShopRite: Cottonelle Double Dip So, it seems as though another catalina has popped up for the 12 pack of Cottonelle Bath Tissue. There was a catalina that ended on Sunday, but a couple of you have reported that you have received 2 – $3.50 Catalinas when you bought 4 of the Cottonelle. Plus getting the $5 Catalina for the Dollar Day Deal. So, that is telling me that this new catalina is a Buy 2 Get a $3.50 Catalina."

I don't know if this has been discussed yet, but TLC has "unveiled" their fall line up and "Extreme Couponing" is listed on the schedule.

leanna: Most of my free TP has been from the drug chains and usually using "for profit" rewards and rain checks to get it. Other than that, I did get a "decent" deal at Safeway once by stacking a rain check with another deal (buy X packages or more and get $.50 off per package or something like that) AND using a coupon, which turned out to give me "almost free" TP; I did another complicated deal at CVS about 1 1/2 years ago that yielded (6) 20 count, double roll packages of Cottonelle for free, and the latest was the freebie deal at Rite Aid in January of this year.
A lot of the gals who get doubled coupons used to be able to get free Angel Soft (4 pks.) all the time (on sale for $1 and using a $.50/1 any Angel Soft, doubled); but I don't think that has happened in quite some time.
I would guess that getting free TP outright, like beachbum is able to do this week with the single rolls of Marcal, is becoming almost unheard of. I think using the backdoor approach of using excess rewards to pick it up at the drug chains when it is on sale is probably a lot more common.

DancinMama,
Thanks for sharing how you worked the TP deals. I've been able to get some free or freap paper towels and TP this year at RA, but only by doing what you mentioned - combining rewards etc.

Dogsmom Sorry. Forgot you were also in the area. I am familiar w/Jill but do NOT like her or her attitude. I went to one of her classes (FREE) at our local library and she comes off even more a a “I am better than you” type stuck up….daughter of a female dog.
Savemore, sharemore is new to me. Am checking them out. Appears, from the store deals she posts that she is also in the western area/burbs.

Had a good trip to WAGS after work last night. Needed hair color and they were 2/$13 and H needed glucose tabs. So I knew I would be spending about $16. So I bought two Complete eye solutions separately and got $16 in RR's. Also the Special K bars were 4/$10 and I had a rain check for BOGO so I bought 4 and got the $5 RR. Also had coupons for FREE Panteen ($4.99) and two free Suave hair products for up to $3.00 so bot $10.99 for FREE. Turned around and used the RRs for what I originally needed. I was happy.
On second thought I need to check my receipt as I'm not sure if she scanned the in-store Q for the hair color. Oops!!!

LeannaI think Dancinmama is spot on with her statement re the double coupons. I think SuziQ has mentioned a few times how much she misses them since her store have instituted new policies. Seems they keep trying to trick us but we keep finding ways to save! I did the Cottonelle deal at CVS and the RA TP deal that Dancinmama mentioned. It's amazing how long those packages lasted! But I did go to Wags to do the Cottonelle cat and will use that $3.50 RR to buy some Keri lotion this coming week--think it's $5.99. I'll also use a $2 man. q and will be back another $5 RR. Of course, I'll have to buy a filler, but that should be no problem. Dancinmama: Just curious--did you see the chicken recipes I posted? It inspired me to make the Chinese chicken salad yesterday. Yum!
