Hey ladies, I was out of town last weekend, so a week behind on posting. Here are the updates from the last 3 weeks. $100K List updated as of 12/15/13!! Total paid off in the last 3 weeks, $7,412.53!! I know we all have extra expenses with the holidays, so that is an amazing payoff! One Leapfrog, Minnesotagirl7(3) from the Midwest! Congrats to Minnesotagirl7(3) from the Midwest for paying off over $30K and over 20%!! www.notmsnmoney.proboards.com/thread/11187/100k-club?page=5&scrollTo=1805589
I've emailed Nasagreen about putting together a State of the Union update for the new year. Since she is not online much with the new baby, please send me your latest update spreadsheet via email at purpleprincess06 @ gmail as soon as possible and we'll get a GSOTU posted next week.
VISA (0% interest until March) - $2,086 Car loan - $3,250
We made it through the holidays without incurring any additional debt! My freelance cheques finally came through, which made a nice dent in the visa balance. Plus DH worked Christmas Day, Boxing Day and he works New Year's Day, which all pay double time and a half, so that extra money on his next two cheques will hopefully get the visa closer to $1,000! And the car is chugging along (no pun intended!).
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! The WIR are here to take down debt - Bring it on 2014!! $100K List updated as of 1/4/14!! $6837.38 paid off in the last 2 weeks!! hey WIRR!! i'm still working on the galactic state of the union. i'm sorry for the delay but i've run into some challenges & so i'm working to get it done by the end of this month. that is 3 weeks away so keep on racing & posting!
Update Jan 17/14 $15,330.00 (June 13/13 $18,975.00 IU, 53)
This update covers 2 payments. I was too busy to post the Jan 4/14 number.
Thanks for the kudos but I'm actually turtling this. The principle portion of the loan was already over $200.00. I've just been rounding up to $225, then $230 and now $235. In the end, I don't think it will add up to much more than a principle payment but every little bit counts. The loan is a variable rate amortized over 5 years but each term is only 1 year. The bank prime rate is bound to go up eventually. I just trying to get the principle down so that if it happens before it's paid off, my bi-weekly payment doesn't go up more than my budget can handle.

Hi Everyone, it is LONG overdue, but here is a not-so-detailed Galactic State of the Union update! Sorry that I don't have everyone's clubs, but you can view the individual club threads for updates.
This is the official Galactic State of the Union for the Women in Red Racers. The GSOTU takes progress from all five WIRR Regions and combines the data to tell us everything there is to know about HOW MUCH debt we have blasted! The five regions sometimes like to compete amongst themselves to meet goals to further the progress of our group as a whole. The five regions are:
Northeast – The Stormin’ Nor’Easters South – The Dixie Debtinators West – The West Rebel Faction Midwest – The Weapons of Mass Debtstruction International – The Planet Earth Debtstroyers
As of 1/28/14, the WIRR as a total group have paid off $18,134,781.85 in debt! (A difference of $2,022,759.40 since 3/31/2012, or almost $1 MILLION PER YEAR!)
In Smiley faces, that equals –
We currently have 63 active members, which is a loss of active members since the last GSOTU. Please keep working in your regions to maintain our membership. We don't want to lose people! We are trying to increase our membership so please tell all your friends, add us to blogs, mention us in your status to facebook, etc. Our facebook page is here: www.facebook.com/pages/Women-in-Red/250822708271598

chaching- Nice update! You’ve paid off more than $3000, that’s awesome! ZsDebt- Sorry your numbers had to go up. Paying it back off by the end of the year is a good goal. And hopefully you can pay off even more! Keep posting your updates so we can watch the numbers go back down with you. mollyc- Great update! I bet in no time you’ll be under $15k. You’re making great progress!
The VISA went up a bit as we put new eaves on the house, which was a necessary, but unexpected expense. But, the car is zipping along! Only 4 more payments and it will be done! I am waiting on the final RRSP receipts and then we can do our income taxes and hopefully get enough back to pay off the VISA.
