Baby Daddy was like that. He stopped filing taxes too so I wouldn't get the return. The IRS must have threatened him because one year he filed 3 or 4 tax returns. I got the money because he owed me something like $13K in arrears at the time. I also coincidentally got a brick through my windshield. Wonder who did that... Then punk ass men wonder why they end up alone with children that don't talk to them. Well my punk ass ex-husband has a wife now that co-signs the bullshit he says about his child support, even though she wasn’t around when he wasn’t paying it. Her daughters don’t even really like her that much. According to DD, one time when they were spouting all of that BS, one of HER daughters said that what they were saying didn’t make sense, because if he was ranting about his tax refunds being intercepted, that had to mean that he wasn’t paying his child support. When he married his 2nd wife (the current one is his 3rd, I was his first wife), I started having a lot of problems with my child support case. So much so that I suspected that he or his wife must have known someone that worked there, and I ended up contacting a local politician’s office for help with my case because what was happening was making no sense. That politician’s office did look into things, and help me get the issues at that time resolve. But after DD graduated HS and DS was still in high school, I started having problems with the case again, even though he had not been paying his court ordered support. I got a letter again, saying that they were closing my case, because I was not compliant, even though I had not received anything saying I needed to do something or be somewhere at a certain time and date. By then, he owed $10’s of thousands of dollars in child support, because the original order was for almost $500/month and he didn’t pay it. Then he went back to court some years later, and told some lies to reduce it to less than $150/month, which he didn’t pay either. Per our divorce decree, he was responsible for keeping health insurance on our children, which he never did, and he was also responsible for their medical bills, which he never paid, and I ended up filing BK, after they both had some serious medical issues that wrecked my finances. Way back when, I was allowed to submit proof to the court that I carried health insurance for the children myself, because he never did even though he was supposed to, and show how much it cost me. But I would’ve had to take him to civil court regarding the medical bills he was supposed to be responsible for and wouldn’t help me with. So when I got the letter again saying they were closing the child support case, I had been through hell dealing with my children’s medical issues and the aftermath, so I was just tired of all the BS and my youngest child, DS, was about to graduate from high school, so I said fuck it, and did not bother with it anymore. So if him and his wife want to talk about the child support, the FACT is that he only paid a fraction of what he owed, and what I did receive, was because they started intercepting his tax refunds because he was in arrears. If I was persistent about getting what he owed and was supposed to pay, I could still be getting paychecks garnished, licenses revoked, and income tax refunds intercepted TODAY. But I’M the bad guy lol. Heck, since you have documented proof that he did not pay court ordered child support you could even garnish (part of) his Social Security. That idiot better start shutting up

Well, what made them think they would be safe from the grifter. By its very nature a grifter HAS to grift, especially if all the money you raise goes toward (not) paying the defense lawyers in your civil and criminal court cases

DAMMIT! It seems like the T’s will be separating soon. I understand that people have to do what is best for them, and there are often good reasons for it, but that doesn’t mean I like it when marriages between 2 decent people come to an end and families break up….. if that makes sense. That makes 100% sense. I want a happily ever after for everyone even though my own marriage didn't have that. I just focus on the times that were good and the rest can stay in the past

Enjoying the last 15 minutes or so of quiet before the contractors come to install new flooring. It is going to be LOUD! And it will last for the rest of the week. At least I can bring the noise level down a couple of decibel by just taking my hearing aids out LOL.

Have you seen one of those "hoarder" episodes on tv? You know where they only have a small path through the house and the rest is stacked wall to wall up to the ceiling? Well, I can guarantee you that won't be me . This morning I almost fled my bedroom because all the stuff in it (and it is far, far less than the hoarders thing) almost caused me an anxiety attack! More will go in there today though most remaining stuff will go to the guest room. Good thing, while I have not done a real first passthrough I have thrown out quite a few things and then there was yesterdays Goodwill run. All things I won't have to put back. Did I mention my cleaning lady comes next Monday? So the time pressure to put most things back in place is almost just as great... I am so like this! I try my best to keep the main kitchen counter, which is actually part of a peninsula, clear of clutter. It's a dumping ground after work and if I don't keep it addressed, by the time I am mid-prepping dinner and setting up plates to dish up, I am shoving things aside with frustration. First world problems, for sure. I told my sister this morning, with the way everything is stacked up in the bedrooms and one bathroom, if there is an EQ right now I'll just throw a match into it and walk away. I am so tired and my back is killing me.

I have been debating about sharing my child in car crash story since it resulted in me earning the mom of the century, nay make that millennium, award. It was either '98 or '99 and some details are fuzzy by now. DS1 and his buddy had decided they would drive from Spokane to somewhere in Arizona, possibly Tuscon to attend a sweet sixteen game between Gonzaga and Arizona. We had talked on the phone before they drove back and I told him to call me when he got to Spokane. Phone rings at 5am and my reaction before picking up was very funny DS1 telling mom she is way too protective. With that mindset I pick up the phone and said "so you are home now". DS1 - no mom we were in an accident and I am at a hospital. DRUM ROLL - my great moment - ha, ha very funny. Do you know what time it is? Turns out they had been in an accident: flipped and rolled his little Ford Ranger multiple times when his friend, who was driving, hit a spot of black ice. The photos DS1 send me later, which I destroyed asap, would make anyone wonder how they came out alive. Even the first responders thought there was no way. As it was his friend was the one getting checked and had a slight whiplash and DS1 had a seat belt burn. That was it!!! But no throwing on clothes, running out the door or anything for me. I laughed as I said - mom of the millenium... Spokane, the capital of black ice. That's what my friends who moved there and still live there call it. They moved from Des Moines to Spokane so they were very well versed in driving in snow. Not so much the black ice. I believe they were in Idaho when it happened. Friend was driving DS1 was asleep. Not even his glasses were damaged. A fireman found them somewhere in the pickup. Something or someone was watching over those two that night

Can you take sinus meds? That and sleep are the only things that help me. I have to get on an airplane for some training for my side gig in a couple of weeks. My ears do not do well with planes, even when my sinuses aren’t causing all of these problems. They hurt like hell on landing and for some time after. Like, excruciating kind of hurt. So if things don’t improve soon, I’m going to go to the doctor for help. My ears are already hurting off and on, I can’t imagine the pain if I got on an airplane in my current condition. I'm lucky in that my ears do fine when I chew gum and pop my ears occasionally during landing and take off. I'm only mentioning that because there are earplugs on the market that reduce (eliminate?) the pain caused by the air pressure differential. I have never tried those since I don't need them but maybe someone else here has and can advise you on them?

I'm getting my caudal injections this coming Friday, and I'm scared. They're supposed to be very painful, even more so than the foraminal injections I got last year. Worst pain I ever felt, with no anaesthetic.

Another one who knows bupkes about stocks here but I am lost in the math here. They claim the orange paint addict's stake is 114.8M shares of which he currently owns 78.25M. The rest is based on performance based measures? What performance? Losing less than $58M, losing more just to prove it can be done? Are/is they/he anticipating selling shares he doesn't even have? Is he shorting his own shares? I'm so confused.

I was up this morning when Mister was getting ready for work. When I went in the kitchen I asked him why he didn’t clean the kitchen when he was off work. He said because I don’t like the way he loads the dishwasher. I said, so you think I like all of this shit being piled up and left for me to deal with?! When he got home with Kiddo Friday evening, I told him and Kiddo they need to take the Christmas tree down this weekend. Yes, there is a Christmas tree still up in my living room, in April. Mister and Kiddo put it up because the girls wanted Mister to put it up for Kiddo. Mister and Kiddo can take it back down. I’ve waited a few weeks to see what he was going to do after I went back to work, whether he was going to start helping with the housekeeping. He doesn’t even cook anymore, so me doing more of the cleaning because he does most of the cooking, isn’t a thing anymore. This is something I’m willing to fight with him about if I have to, so here we go. Well, load the dishwasher, turn it on, empty it out and put dishes away - problem solved! If there is nothing left in the dishwasher he won't hear you complain about loading it differently from how you do it. It's called logical thinking about the complete process and mister should engage in it every once in a while. The man should consider himself lucky you, not I, are his partner...

Watching CNN now. Judge nearing the end of the jury selection rules with all and trump's gag order. But headlines noted 500 potential jurers are waiting for selection to begin. 150 of which are MAGA cult members who have/will lie and say they can be impartial. 150 are probably anti-Trump who won’t be impartial either, but since you need unanimous to convict getting a handful on the jury won’t make as much of a difference as getting 1 person who will vote to acquit no matter the evidence. Fortunately it works the other way around as well: 11MAGIDIOTS can't prevent a hung jury

Trump went on a weird ramble about Gettysburg. Gettysburg, what an unbelievable battle that was," Trump said while addressing the crowd in the town and wearing a Make America Great Again hat. "It was so much, and so interesting, and so vicious and horrible, and so beautiful in so many different ways—it represented such a big portion of the success of this country," he continued. www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-rambling-rally-speech-raises-questions-1890121Do any of the MAGA minions hear what he’s saying or do they just gloss on over the crazy parts? Or maybe Trump is trying to gin up enthusiasm for a second civil war? Hard to imagine anyone with any knowledge of American History at all thinking of Gettysburg as anything more than a tragic slaughter. But then, I imagine Trump knows about as much about American History as he does about the Constitution. Is that the battle where the orange paint addict personally advised Washington to attack the airfields so we could keep the "coloreds*" in their place. Just so they can not tax him and his buddies out of existence and persecute him in federal courts just to hamper his current attempt to get back i to the WH? I believe this was part of the trump university curriculum right? * I apologize for the use of that term but it fit in so well with the full page ad, calling for the death penalty for the later proven innocent Central Park 5, the orange paint addict took out. He is such a prince all around

Still at it with plenty of breaks*. I think that my idea yesterday to use the luggage cart (you know one of those those dinky things we used before suitcases had wheels) to move heavier items might be one of the best ideas I've had in a very long time. My back is somewhat tender but nothing like the crippling pain these activities would have caused me without. A few more spurts today and then tomorrow and Tuesday. I think I'll get it done I think I can, I think I can, I think I can... choo choo * I also managed to put in a run to a Goodwill and TJs around noon

I made good progress today but I will need every minute of the next three days to get this done. There will be a smallish goodwill run tomorrow but I just don't have the space to wait until I have more. that needs to go. Besides, I will make a short detour on the way home to TJs to pick up some ready made meals and salads. i really don't want to just eat fried food for a week because I am to tired to cook.

30 sets of chopsticks is what I have. I bought, at most, 4 of them - the rest are gifts. All very beautiful as opposed to the four utilitarian sets I bought which are nice hardwood (rose wood) but still. Good thing I stopped giving big dinner parties or I might have enough of them now to open my own Asian restaurant. Maybe attached to that library I can open based on the number of books I have LOL.

My back is never going to forgive me! Ouch. However, I did have a great idea when I woke up this morning. One of my problems is where to put all this stuff since ~ 75℅ of my condo will get new flooring. I can't use the balcony as the workers will need that space. So I woke up and thought - the dishwasher. I can put a lot of dishes, bowls, etc., in there. I don't need to stack it for washing purposes so I can get even more in there. Big bonus is that I have a "bar" to the kitchen just a step from my hutch so I have filled up the bar and walked around to the kitchen just twice to fill up the dishwasher. That thing is full and then some. Very efficient if I do say so myself.
Short break and then back at it

Going at it in 15-30 minute stretches. I see a Goodwill run in the making - not taking time out for the buy nothing group which is my preferred way of donating items.
A very quick go through has me at 40 CDs that are going. Some bowls and other odds and ends. I have not touched the dinnerware or any of the glassware (or books for that matter) yet. One step at a time is all I can face right now

You are not butting in, stop it! Menopause started for me a few years ago. I have no idea what my hormones are doing these days, but I did have a lot of hormone related issues before menopause. Thank you! I feel like the dirty little secret is just because you hit menopause doesn’t mean your hormones quit f*cking with you SIL said she stopped bleeding but PMS got even worse. DS‘ friend‘s older sister just started her period and her mom was trying to fix everything and I was just thinking man, life just got a whole lot worse for her for the next several decades. It’s okay to take a moment and just be like, this sucks. I started really late, and was crazy irregular/often long times in between, and in retrospect that was a blessing. Just settled into a monthly schedule a few years ago and the predictability is totally not worth the increased frequency. And those damn hot flashes that STILL!!! elect to make the occasional appearance. I'm 72yo for crying out loud

So my two weeks wiggle room just disappeared. Good thing I am a natural procrastinator or else I would be totally panicking now : work will start on Wednesday and, if all goes well, will be completed by Friday next week. Forget about the first pass through. I will just do one when putting things back in place. There will be a few more times that I will have to go through things, reducing, before that big move but for now I will go with whatever I can get.
I do have a luggage cart, never used, that I was going to give away but now it will be used to take some of the strain of my back. If it is worn out by the time all this is done so be it. As long as my back holds up

Think of how fantastic you'll feel when it's done NastyWoman ! Crazy thought ... could you ask one of your sisters to come and help you? Maybe plan a short trip together for afterwards? A great idea but it won't work because of the timing. Really only DSis2 would be possible - #3 and 4 still work full time and #1 is electric wheelchair bound. And Dsis2 is working on a final project for an arts degree which she took up after retiring. I'll get it done I'm sure and I have already been thinking about ways to move things most efficiently*. *I just remembered what would have been an even more efficient way, time travel. Unfortunately all those rocket scientists I worked with for a couple of decades could not even build me a beam-me-up-Scotty leave alone a time machine. Dang it

I have a case of that stuff that killed the cat aka curiosity. After his acquittal Simpson lost a civil trial with millions of dollars awarded to the Goldman family. As far as I know he never paid that off. So now I wonder whether the Goldman's can file a claim against his estate? Does anyone know?
IMO, and it really is just my opinion, Simpson got away with murder. There is really no reason for even a penny to be left in any way, shape, or form.

Another way too hot stroll under my belt. Yesterday I was waiting for my new range to be delivered. Today a contractor came (noonish but we had not agreed upon a time) to get me a quote for flooring in LR/DR/office. He had just done the same work for my downstairs neighbor & friend so I knew what to expect but it had to be done officially.
So by the time I was heading out it was hot again. However, like yesterday, I did get my steps in and I am once again drinking cold lemonade. Tomorrow it will be at least 10 degrees cooler and I don't have to wait for anyone to show up.

Ok peeps, I may have gotten myself in deep doodoo here and I need you to send me all the good vibes, juju or whatever you have to spare. I decided to replace my flooring in the office, DR, AND the living room all at the same time. That means I will have to empty out 6 4-shelf bookcases (many double stashed), two 6-shelf bookcases, two hutches, hundreds of CDs, etc., etc., etc. I will have a one week lead time to get this done (though I have another week or two before the clock starts ticking - but I am an infamous procrastinator so there is that.
My plan for now is take everything out and get rid of things right there and then as a first pass through followed by a second pass through when putting things back in place.
I am already exhausted thinking about this and it, by necessity, turn me from an accidental declutterer into a full time one... AAAAAHHH!

I've heard it be said that nobody has more to fear from equality than a mediocre white man. Well Trump is the epitome of that.I have to disagree with (just) this part of your post. To call the orange paint addict a "mediocre white man" is an upgrade he neither deserves nor am I willing to give him that. He may be an idiot savant wrt to marketing himself but that is as far as I am willing to go.

Just Posting quick. I have to leave for a Dr. Appointment in 3-4 minutes. I checked Mom's e-mail yesterday and deleted all the stuff asking for $$ or trying to make her feel like the world will end if she does not vote for or Donate to Donald J. Trump and every R Senator and Representative across the country. I went in today, and there were 20 more messages. There really is not anything in Mom's e-mail she needs to see. We need a spam law like the Do not call registry and it needs to include politicians. I tried blocking or unsubscribing, but that did not work. They just send from a different e-mail addy. I told WINRed that Mom was incompetent after she donated about 50+ times in one month, but they are still trying to get her $$.
If you hit an oil well you don't stop pumping. You go and get as much profit from it as possible. It is the capitalist way after all.

If I had not long since fallen out with organized religion this would absolutely do it for me. That fact that I would have to educate/detoxify my child because of the poison and lies spewed by a pastor during a church service I HAD TAKEN HER TO, would be not just a step too far, it would be at least a mile over the line! For me personally It would be a case of never again. Now, again in my opinion, the fact that young (pre)teens are present during this sermon is all the worse. These kids are just at that age where parents no longer know everything so they are especially vulnerable to others spewing these vile opinions. And I do believe they are a target audience by this so-called religious leader. FWIW, my family and I are in the process of moving away from my born and raised very conservative Lutheran Church Mo Synod for this reason. My kid happened to be singing in choir as part of school requirement. We hope to find a church that fits our more progressive views on topics such as these or at least doesn't preach hate. My faith is still important to me.I understand and have a lot of respect for your efforts to find a congregation that is in line with your values! And to be fair: I fell out with the human part of religion, the so-called spiritual leaders, more than anything else. Funnily enough I was a young ten when that happened and, though I am quite sure he never meant to, it was my father who caused it without even one word about faith but a very clear comment to our parish priest. I was not even supposed to hear it but I was in the kitchen cleaning something up and there is that thing about little pots and big ears...
