I have to find out if DD will qualify for medicaid. They look at family assets I guess. Our income is going way down because of sale of the rentals. 5% of $100k is nothing like the rent income we had from that investment, that is going to hurt. So we will be paying more for everything with less income. We do have money in savings but a lot of it is in 401k's and IRA's so what we see is not what we are going to end up with after taxes. They just ask for gross? it just says savings no distinction in what it is. I dropped figures in the questionaire and of course it said hubs nor I qualify for anything, we were not applying and the way the form was structured it was obvious only for DD. Also it asked who they lived with and none of the categories were parents?? Only adult-other,so I am wondering if she will qualify for health care. It says she would not qualify for cash help or food help, that's fine, we don't need that. It has a category for disabled I need to look at and see if it explains more. Even if she has to pay something for her health care, that's ok too, long as it doesn't eat up all her funds. She needs money for hair cuts, clothing, shoes, dental work, glasses, incontinent needs, those are not cheap, and anything else she needs, we charge her rent and then use the money for her needs. Have to, to keep her assets under $2k. I just ordered her a wheelchair/walker so she can go places with us where she has to walk. She has only been to the theater at Capital Mall because its all she can do to get there. She almost passed out at the ballet just waiting for DIL to park the car and come back. I want her to be able to go with us. We jump through hoop after hoop, each year here she has to be recertified for her medicaid coverage.
Hubs and my health care premiums are over $1000 a month now with scrips on top of that, we have to pay a lot out of pocket. now in Indiana DD had to start paying a premium for her meds insurance on medicaid, not much, but I expect it to get more each year. Yes, we have money, but its getting eaten up believe me. The cost of living is not going down, its going up. We likely should not have sold our rentals yet, but once he was diagnosed with cancer I think we both kind of panicked.
Well it is what it is, we know that we can get coverage up there for us, now I have to find out about DD, I will when I'm up there. If we can't, obviously we cannot move, we will just have to stay here and do what we can to take care of ourselves. And we can afford to live here. I have already cut expenses and once we sell his folks house, we can cut more. We will keep the place up there and hope we can keep traveling back and forth for the foreseeable future. But I'm continuing to declutter anyway, stuff needs cleared out no matter where we live.
I just cleared out the 3rd bedroom closet except for a big container of paper, pencils, and supplies.

My Smokey is a fun cat. He has been running up and down the stairs to the basement when I go up and down. And when I'm pulling books he is flopped on the shelf above purring. I was sorting fabric in other cabinets and he was on an empty shelf above doing the same thing, talking to me and purring. He does the same with hubs when he is working on something. We both get a kick out of him. Tigger doesn't do that, but he is still friendly.
I can call Smoke and he 99.5% of the time like a dog will come running. Hubs was looking for him the other evening and had picked him up, I didn't know it and was calling him. Hubs said he was trying like crazy to get down, but he already had him so managed to get him in. I know I'm always saying he doesn't care for them but he gets them in feeds the, and empties litter boxes when I'm gone. Maybe just because I love them so much, but I don't think so, LOL!
His friend down the road that gave them to us bought him a Tshirt, that says, real men love cats. Yep, he wears it, LOL!
The internet repair guy is coming tomorrow afternoon, I finally had to call to get the buffering fixed, it's something outside. It's driving me crazy buffering like that.

DD decided she didn't want to go out tonight to eat, doesn't matter to me. We ate lunch while in town. The grocery had their cookout today, ribeye steak sandwiches, but DD wanted McD's, yuck. That was good. But she wants fish again tonight, she said those were so good. I looked for the stringy strips of onions but they didn't have those just regular onion rings. I did see some onion petals breaded but they were $10.49 for a small box, uhhh, no, that's crazy. I bought some breaded mushrooms from the hot foods section so may heat those with it. Also bought cukes we both said salad is good. I dress it with avocado oil, garlic salt, and rice vinegar, low cal and so good.
Likely won't fix it till about 6 or 7, we don't get hungry early.
Going to wash more stuff almost have 2 cabinets of fabric emptied, have 2 more and lots of other on shelving. The town is going to get inundated with fabric, LOL! I may try to sell some of it when I have a yard sale, will see. I'm going to sell 2 book cases, a shredder, maybe an exercycle, if hubs can get it upstairs, canning jars, odds and ends of all kinds of stuff. Some big canning kettles and items, Xmas decorations, stuff in the garage. I have a big cabinet in the 3rd bedroom I may try to sell. Would like to sell this big solid wood desk, I paid $1300 for it years ago. The top of the desk needs refinished, sure I could get more if I did from it. I may, it came from the furniture store in Houston about 20 years ago, likely be lucky to get $200 out of it. Really it and the couch needs to go to the furniture store to sell. There are also little cabinets, magazine racks and stuff. A lot more stuff I can't think of right now.

Very pretty color on those cabinets. I have redone a lot of them in houses, so much work, but so nice when you are done. Just freshens up everything.
I finally got everything out of my car. 2 big bags of clothing, one hanging bag with a nice coat. 2 big boxes of fabric and a sack of fleece material. I just cannot take all this and even if I did, I will never see all this in my lifetime. What I'm keeping is very good pieces. For some reason in the bottom 2 shelves I have found little or no evidence of mice or chipmunks or whatever they are. The seem to have gotten in the top 2. So these pieces I am looking over and just packing them for keeping or giving away. The clothing and fabric went to the free store, the books to Goodwill. I may take some fabric to them also, will see.d
I have 4 more bags of books in the car, have cleaned out the side shelves and 3 shelves of books so far. And working on another shelf of fabric. So I am moving along.
I ordered some moving bags from Temu and they are much better quality than the ones from Amazon. But for glassware and such will need hard boxes. I have lots of towels and things I can pack them with. Hubs and I have been saving our Amazon boxes so have quite a few we can use.
I'm going to see if I can find packing boxes specifically for grandfather clocks and etageres so they won't get broken.
I need to clean my garage out so we can start putting things in it. I am going to try and have a "Maybe we are Moving Sale" some catchy name like that and see if we can sell some bigger stuff.
Partial bottles of cleaning products and things like that I put beside the road to give away. Again lots of that stuff came from former renters that left them, so no loss to me.
This has needed to be done for a long time. I would just get rid of a bit of this and a bit of that and never fully declutter, so I am finally doing that. When we move up there I'm going to go to the library for books again or to used book stores like I used to. Here I just couldn't find the books I wanted to read so I would order them from Amazon. I have spent a ton of money on those.

Son was in the military for 10 years. When he left and was hired by the DOD he bought that amount of pension and added to his currently. I have no idea what it cost, but he said it was a good deal.
He also wanted to work in Washington state as he got a big raise so more money in the pension fund for later. I think he can retire at 62 or maybe earlier but of course each year he works adds to SS and pension. His dad says he needs to go to 67. He really does, little guy will be nine this year and he will be 19 when his dad is 63, just when he is in college. Son needs to stick those 4 years out to pay for it. I think with his pension, SS, and savings he will be in good financial condition for his retirement.

The neurologist for DD has tried a lot of things. Botox didn't work, she is getting an IV infusion every 3 months and takes Nurtec daily, seems to be helping her more than other meds did for migraines, there is lots of things they can try now.
Hubs called and he said little guy was up till 2. I said you let him stay up that late? I'm betting he fell asleep and didn't realize it. He said he went in and made him go to bed. I told him don't do that tonight, he told me he bets he falls asleep pretty early tonight. Hubs said he has changed all the TV stuff around and on his iPad. I bet he has, LOL! He was getting ready to get him up and go see what son was doing today. I think if we are up there he and his dad will spend a lot of time together. DIL said son doesn't have many friends up there and none in the neighborhood where they live so will be good for both of them. I'm sure little guy will see grandpa every evening next week too, he really misses him and hubs doesn't get up there often. We need to do it before we are to old to do things with him.
So the 29th I am off to go up there too.
I am pretty much off coffee and I'm still tired from lack of caffeine. today plan to run over and see if the free store is open. I need to get rid of stuff so I can load up more. I haven't done anything this morning. Got dressed to go out and pull weeds, it looked so pretty out. Checked the temp and its 47, nope, not going to happen. So need to get busy in here. It's noon and all we have done is eat breakfast. I did pick up so the robot sweeper could run. All the plug cords it likes to get tangled in.
So will see if we go out to eat or not today, haven't decided yet.
Need to at least do something constructive.

Wow, you have guts chaperoning teens anymore. We stopped having trips in the class before us because so many got pregnant, LOL! That was in the 60's so I can only imagine now as they have no respect for authority. It was bad enough back then. Good luck!
I found a dead bird in the garage. They sometimes get in there and can't get out. This is only the second regular size bird the cats have ever gotten, I hate to see that, I don't like them killing birds. But those 2 are predators, they kill mice, small snakes, and shrews. They have even gotten a mole before.

Not here, I just paid $578 for a 2020 Buick Envision, my 2018 Chrysler 300 is $886, hubs 2020 Ford truck is $673 and I think that is really good. Our broker put us with Erie Insurance a few years ago. If we move one car will be sold, I sure won't need 2.
Maybe if we get further out from Olympia.
I just looked at a gorgeous house in McCleary, Wa, has a nice big garage for hubs and is one story like we want. I LOVE it, of course it will be gone before we can do anything. And it's on just half an acre, most of what we want. But it has mini splits for heating and cooling, doesn't look like enough to me. That town isn't that far away, it is doable and looks like nice homes out there.

Well, I'm in the dough nut hole already. I went to get Ozempic today, last time was $400 plus for 3 months. Today was $335 for 1 month. I am going to have to drop, can't afford my 3 high cost meds if this continues. PA and I talked about me reducing the dosage and see if I can do it. The last 2 weeks I used .25, I'm still ok, but about 3 weeks for it to lose efficiency. I sure hope I can. I'm trying to mentally stoke myself to not eat so much. Hope I can do it. I could do 2 months out of a box if I can do this. I pay a lot for Nextlizet and for Premarin too, the rest are cheap or no charge. I'm not sure about Washington. It looks like DD will be eligible for Medicaid, but because of our household money we may have to pay for part of the premiums? It says may so I don't know. Hubs wants me to go ahead and qualify for it before we put the house here up for sale, but that would mean we lose hers here. Her meds cost over $25k per year if we had to pay those and I'm paying out of pocket $12k for mine. I think hubs was $6k. We sure can't afford to lose her coverage. My SS is totally eaten up by premiums and meds and now its dipping heavily into hubs. I was talking to son today and he said the cost of living is eating him alive too. I priced car insurance up there and the lady from State Farm was going to give me a quote. My car up there is only $578 a year, she is figuring the same coverage and she said don't be shocked the premiums there have gone crazy the last couple of years. I paid the premium for the modular up there so now I have all the those bills paid. Wow, the last 2 years is really getting to us too. I'm sure all of you are experiencing this. But our income is going down and yes, I worry. We have assets but its likely one of us could live 20 more years and I'm not sure we can handle that. I'm so sleepy can hardly stay awake. I was going to pull weeds when I got home today. But a front came through, temp dropped 20 degrees so 57 out. By this afternoon that area was in the shade, I'm not going out there and freeze, I will try tomorrow. I had all these plans of stuff I was going to do, bet I don't accomplish them. And I'm cooking at home this evening instead of eating out. We are having catfish, okra, and salad. Wonder what the guy that burned himself up at trumps trial was trying to say That was sure dumb.

MPL, Goo Gone will take off adhesive for most stuff. Or soften and loosen it so it can be scraped off. It's really good stuff. Will take off adhesive of stickers stuck on appliances too so you don't mar the surface.

Grandson will be so glad to see grandpa. I know he will want to go to the airport with son, but it will be late and he has to be up early. If he can't he will be upset. But at least he will get the weekend and evenings with him. I said when we move up there he will be living at our house. Hubs said yes, I can see that. I wish he could have come down here this summer, he likes that.
Our small city has more house builders coming in. They are investing $14 million in some townhomes just off the town square and 40 more houses. They are building 40 new houses now and have built a ton of duplexes in town. I think those are for seniors. They have condemned and torn down a ton of houses and now are building new on the sites. They are really adding to the tax base here. I told hubs if we ever come back the housing will be high here. The south side of town was destroyed by the tornado last year and all new homes are going up in there. It was sort of the slum of the city. Some aren't being rebuilt, I'm guessing no insurance or not enough. A brand new big VFW, the tornado got it too. The free store was an older nice building, its all new but not quite as big. So we really have a lot of building going on. They just finished a new county jail and now the hospital is building on a whole new section with additional doctors offices. They have added 3 orthopedic surgeons and a podiatrist. The pain management doc is expanding now too because they could not accommodate all the old folks. I have noticed they have weeded out a lot of the younger people seeking drugs. They said for a time that was a real problem. Now if we could just get some retail shops. We have tons of restaurants, but need some hard goods store. Oh we also as of last fall have a new hardware store, and ACE hardware, the owner has another one in a small town. So we did get one.
There is also some kind of gas generation plant coming in north of our town, says 350 during construction and 25 permanent jobs. Not a lot but each one adding jobs helps. This is a rural area with weak environmental regs so I think that is contributing these things coming in.

Got hubs to the airport. Not a bad drive and I made it home in record time. Well drove 75 most of the way along with some of it he semis. Stopped and got hubs truck washed, I need to clean the inside of it. Tomorrow going to our Endo doc so will get mine washed. Mine is still loaded with clothes, another box of fabric, and more books. I'm going to add more books tomorrow and give them to Goodwill.
I will try to catch the free store open. I'm not sure there are as many volunteers as there was before the tornado. And I know one had to have surgery on her arm, she might be paid, I don't know. I heard they weren't accepting more clothing. But I do have the neighbors church that will accept those. I will purge again. I told hubs we may be able to get all DD and my clothing in our 2 closets and our dresser drawers when we are done. The fall clothing may be packed away. I am really purging clothing, very nice stuff.
I pulled a few weeds from the landscaping. Hubs and I went over the plants I want him to take out. Most are some type of lily that have to be cut back and raked out in the fall. I told him plant them somewhere else. He can also take a couple of shrubs out if he wants to.I will mark them. We need for that to be pretty and easy care for the remainder of our time here and for others to care for.
While he is gone, want to weed. Get rid of more books Get rid and also pack things I want to keep and fabric.
Hubs said these bags I'm getting will work well, they can be packed around furniture. Everytime we move things gets scratched.
We are thinking of getting rid of my 3/4 chair and divan, DIL wants it but she doesn't have room unless they get rid of something it is in Washington. Will replace it with my good recliner. Will sell or give away the table and chairs we have up there and take this one, maybe the 2 cabinets, will have to be seen. He will likely take a load of our things that we can fit in, but it can't be much. There isn't anything I can take from our kitchen here there is hardly room for the things I have there now. So most everything we keep will have to be stored at the inlaws house until we buy a home, if we can.
I have to transfer the one car insurance up there, didn't think about it and already paid it so will need to take care of that when I get up there. And have to check on DD's Medicaid when up there this time.
Just so much to do in moving. Hub is going to price a UHaul or Budget truck and see what it costs and he has a big trailer he can pull behind it. Like he said we have to move this fall before it snows at the passes or want till spring when they thaw. I bet we can't make it this year. But we are moving along a little faster. Right now hinges on DD's healthcare.
DD and I nibbled on some McD's on the way up, yuck. I wanted to stop for dinner, I want prime rib again, that is sooo good. But she wasn't hungry so we didn't. I bought some hot wings and ate 3 and some grapes, so I'm full. I will feed her something before bed.I have more wings, some Mac salad and Cole slaw for her. Her favorite foods. She also likes the mushrooms but they had already cleaned off the hot foods in the deli when we came by.
I may wash some more fabric tonight, but I will definitely bring up some more books, I cleared off a shelf down there and got rid of a bunch of cookbooks up here.

I feel for people that life pulls them down. I had problems with that over my DD for years.
Now I'm worried hubs will get really down when we move and he doesn't have things to occupy him like he does now. And at least he has some people he knows and can talk to. I'm afraid he will sit down and through boredom give up. Worry about me too. But like he says we just don't have much choice and if we wait till we are older, likely not able to do the move without considerable help.
Also concerned as to what his cancer status will be. I am hopeful, just have to wait and see.
Ners, wish you well..

Today went mostly well.
DD went with me and we had lunch at the local little cafe. I told the owner today we sure were going to miss many of the people here. I hope hubs doesn't get depressed, he and our one neighbor are pretty close. I don't see his wife often, as she has trouble getting around but they are such nice people.
Off on a tangent again, back to what I was going to say.
The bad part was the free store wasn't open so still have my car full of clothing and fabric. I was able to donate the books I took, the big container is almost full, you could hear by they way they dropping in.
We dropped full coverage on the motorhome and just kept liability for the next year or till its sold, only cost $74 for the year! well its old. Paid that ins bill for the cars for the year. I still have the umbrella to pay its only $258.
I paid the property taxes on our house yesterday, so all we have left for the year to pay is insurance on the modular.
I was also able to pick up our dental info, not much from the dentist office today also.
I talked with our insurance broker about our Medicare supplements. Hubs carrier also writes in Washington state and she said he can get the very same policy but the price will be different. She said mine is not available up there but I can get Cigna and it will be $100 a month less than I'm paying now. We both have to change our part D, I dread that as now I have one that pays very well and hubs does too.
I did find our some of my fabric may be welcome at the prison. They make quilts for local charities to raffle off, so I'm checking on that. And the neighbors church will take the clothing and dolls for their annual "yard sale", so I will likely give items to them. The neighbor heard the free place wasn't taking donations for a while they are so overloaded. Everyone saved their donations until they reopened.
So now on insurance I'm down to finding out how DD's Medicaid will be up there. I'm beating it down bit by bit.
Hubs voted yesterday as he works the polls. I was going to vote too and couldn't find my drivers license. I had been to the driver branch changing the beneficiary of my car to the trust and she forgot to give me my license back. I went to get it but didn't go back to vote.
We have bene's changed on everything but the bonds, Walmart stock and a 401k. There is one bank account we may not change. We are going to combine accounts when we get up there and simplify everything. It's going to take some work to get those 3 changed I think. I know the bonds are going to be time consuming. I will get started on it in the next few weeks.
Hubs and I looked at the landscaping across the front and we talked about what can come out. I hope some of the lilies he can plant somewhere else. I told him I would like all the stuff that has to be trimmed and cleaned out in the fall to come out. He is going to fix the corner reset, said it needs fill dirt. Then he is going to fill it with river rock and maybe a colored rock. I want it low maintenance and pretty when we try to sell the place. That of course effects curb appeal and that is important.
We are making progress but seems like there is just so much more to do and their is.

Hubs plans to mow at the other house today, about 3 acres there and here about 4.. He is hoping that I won't have to mow while he is gone, so I don't have to load the mower to take it there. I have a hard time lifting the back ramp and putting it back up anymore, its pretty heavy. This getting old stuff is for the birds.
Poor hubs is so tired, he is asleep in his recliner, today was his last radiation treatment. He is planning on going up there and working, I hope his body agrees with his mind.
DD and I are going to town today. I'm taking her out to lunch and hoping the donation place is open. Also picking up our dental records from the office that is closing. He is retiring. I have to find another one for us.
Likely will pick up some fresh produce, but not much, DD and I will likely eat out a lot while hubs is gone.

I'm going to try and get more books up tonight and maybe some fabric up to wash.
I told hubs to burn the twin mattress downstairs. It is stained from DD, we got her a new one. I'm not sure why he put it down there. That's either going to be burned or cut up and put in the dumpster.
I really should not be gone till June 11, should be here working on this stuff instead. I may shorten my time up there, I don't know yet. Hubs flys out Thursday to go up and will be back before I leave.

Yes, I am. I know we can't move all this, some of it I don't mind getting rid of. Some will really bother me. And some I just won't unless we can't get a decent sized house.

Been busy lots of paperwork done today. Clarification on property tax, I am slipping did not look at it thoroughly. I know lately I'm not understanding some things and it scares the crap out of me.
I'm going to drag more fabric up and books too. This stuff is going one way or another. I told hubs even if we weren't moving this needs done. I need to go to the library up there instead of buying so many.
Clothes too, we can do this. I want to see hubs decluttering like I am. He said he doesn't see how he can move our etageres, we have 2 and the 2 grandfather clocks without breaking them or the glass in them. I'm going to try packing blankets inside and rigid cardboard of some type around the outsides of them. We will see what can be done.

I ordered 8 moving bags they are called. Was $29, they are rectangular and fairly heavy. All the fabric I have washed and had stacked on the cedar chest fit in them. I told hubs really liked them. They hold so much will be heavy but that's ok.
We are going to see if the step nieces will want some of the blankets, some MIL stitched . We are keeping a few and DIL and son have some already.
I am selling more canning jars. Loading books now, going to get rid of all the books I have read, there will be boxes of them. I'm keeping the ones I have not read yet. I'm getting rid of more clothing. More books to go, loaded some cookbooks today too. More fabric will go. Hubs is panicking over how much I have., I told him calm down, it will work out.
I'm ordering more boxes or bags for kitchen stuff and a lot of it will go too. He said I can't take my wringer washer, I am taking my washer if I have to drive down here and take a load up myself after we buy a house.
And Christmas decorations will go. 2 unfinished bedspreads. Another robot sweeper will be sold. We are taking a few racks and shelving units. We spent a lot of money buying a lot of those. Some to the kids, some will be sold.
So I have my work cut out for me.

I know this has an upstairs, but finding one on one level that has all we want is very difficult. Most are older and in most cases much older.
I asked hubs how much we could spend if the house was pristine, he said $535k, depending on what we get from this house is doable. We can get $100k out of his folks at least and hopefully at least $450k out of this one. Of course I'm hoping for more out of ours.
One like this would be perfect, a BIG kitchen, I love. The kitchen is the heart of our home or will be. Hubs said we can put in a lift for the house on the stairs if needed. And I would have a bedroom for little guy and a sewing room too. The yard is not big but that's fine, hubs would have room for a little shed, plus there is a 2 car garage. This house is also not to far from the kids and a bit closer to town than we are now. It was built in 2004, so about the same age as our house and looks well cared for. Just prefer no stairs and hope we can find one.
The address is 6941 Southwick Court SW, Olympia, Was 98512. They didn't put up anything over the patio plus it is small. Hubs could remedy that or we could have it fixed. It also has AC and city sewer which is a plus. I need to look in that neighborhood and see if there are any one stories when we get up there. He said he is planning on being moved up there this fall.

And I think some of those family members are likely whispering in his ear so to speak. If they can detach him from you, more money for them. Would not surprise me if they are devious.

I talked about getting injections in my foot either steroid or cortisone, but I have had them before and like another person said the pain of those is awful. They gave me 7 around my ankle, hit the bone everytime, likely by design. I was in agony, but the result was I was then pain free for a long time. I'm going to put it off until the pain becomes too much. He said they can inject some lidocaine but that shot hurts too.
That was pain management, I just can't bring myself to do it again, it's probably been 15 years or more since I had it and remember the pain like yesterday of those.

it got 85 here today, in southwestern Indiana and its 72 tonight, whoops just jumped to 74. Hubs turned the AC on and we had it at 75 and 76. I just put it on 75 for the night and hope it doesn't get real cold tonight. His hormone suppression is working, he is hot. He was sitting in here with 2 ceiling fans on, his shirt off and shorts on and was still hot. I was over here with ski socks on and wrapped up in a blanket and long sleeve sweatshirt on. He turned them off soon as he cooled down. I feel for him, its easier to cover up than to cool down.
I noted in the bank today his face was somewhat splotchy and his arms. He said its just the lighting, maybe so but I never noticed that before, maybe from the radiation? He is done Wednesday, 37 days of that. Now we wait, I'm on pins and needles till he gets his test.
When I fly I have congestion problems many times too. Sometimes doc adds Prednisone, not the 10 day course but just a few days, which takes down the swelling and I use Flonase. The docs tell me that is the one that has less rebound effects and your body doesn't become addicted to it.
I am also on anxiety meds though I am using them off label for neuropathy in my legs and feet. Its duloxetine, I'm now on 2 a day 40 mgs, I believe. It's brand name is Cymbalta or Intri, also used for depression, neuropathy chronic pain, and anxiety disorders, so its probably working on all those for me, LOL! I also can take 2 hydrocodone a day. But my pain management doc told me not to worry I was a long long way from taking doses too high, that I was on minimal. But my docs tell me they understand since they are saying I'm basically walking on my ankles. That is stressing all the bone structure in my body, so I'm really surprised I'm not in worse pain then I up. Most mornings I start the day ok, so that is still good. I'm just thankful to still be walking. Actually I'm thankful for anything docs here have done to help me. I worry about changing them for myself and DD.
Damn I'm trying to watch Rachel Maddow and the damn TV keeps buffering. It's been doing that, we are thinking because of all the rain, but I'm going to call them tomorrow and see what is going on because our computers are working.
Enough of my "talking" today, about bed time. Hope all of you sleep well tonight.

I don't know Pink, but if you guys part where do you go? Sounds like in your other house with your mom is a pressure cooker too?? It just seems like you and Mister are on a collision course. With how you guys are interacting I can't see it lasting. Things seem to be escalating. I just hate to see it. I do understand your frustrations, I can see his too. Maybe he can't. He has demanding DD's he likely feels guilty about. And Ex that has a son that hassles him. He has a brother that sounds like he is doing nothing and also sounds like people out there that are working against you too. Talk about issues, just wow, for both of you. I can relate to it, if we had not left here we would have never made it. I'm sure that isn't for everyone, but it was for us. I really feel for you, can you guys have a heart to heart talk? Or maybe you have already, I would just like to see you guys make it.
I know this sounds unlikely but I went through a period of time like you, where I felt I was jumping out of my skin. It's been a few years ago. I too would get up at night and lay on the living room floor and bicycle my legs to work off the energy. Or I would run in place. I didn't say anything to the docs because I thought it just sounded plain weird. It went on for a few months, I told hubs. It was like I was antsy and couldn't sit still. I attributed it to lack of exercise, so I tried to do more, hard with my feet but I tried just moving a lot. But once I was steady on my thyroid meds it finally stopped, so I assume that helped? It was about the time I was dealing with all MIL's issues, so stress and?? I don't know. But I do understand, it has not happened again. My primary care doc said that controls everything in your body.
Have you tried an endocrinologist? Mine does thyroid, diabetes, weight, and more, he has sure helped me in a lot of ways.
I hope you feel better and can decide what needs to be done to make your life a good one, with or without someone.

I am beyond HAPPY! We got our taxes, I was sweating bullets believe me, just knew I would have to write a $30k check. but I had forgotten about some loss carryovers from last year and credits. We had a sizeable solar carryover left and we had a loss this year because of the prep money we spent on one of the houses we sold, so another credit. Federal taxes we had deducted and the standard deduction plus additional for age. Also no taxes on interest earned on some of the funds till we draw out. So TADA!!!! we owed $55. A feather could have knocked me over. I'm still in shock and that was on a substantial amount of earnings. Now we did not do as well on the state. They implemented and county tax and that got us for $2k alone so we owed quite a bit on state, but I am NOT complaining. I am ecstatic. I think it was well worth the $2k we paid for prep. We are paying for of course, their knowledge. And of course we owed the first payment on estimated taxes. But now I have to shell out like all of you for insurance, property taxes, and that's not pretty. We also got the bene's changed on quite a few accounts today. I have one to mail in, so we are moving along. Believe me this evening I am thankful, beyond thankful, overjoyed is more like it.!!!!!! And relieved . Now we can move forward. Our next milestone will be May 17th when hubs sees his doc. We will know soon after he has his PSA as I can see it online, if they got it all. So one thing at a time.

I don't know about others, but hubs helps some, when he worked he didn't. He took care of all the outside stuff when he was home and worked such long hours and had to drive so far, he was dead tired. He was lucky to be able to stay awake, eat dinner, and shower. A lot of nights he didn't even get to watch a 1/2 hour of news.
Now he still doesn't do dishes and stuff, he takes out the trash and does everything outside. He would do more if I asked or was sick. Maybe he would if I still worked, but we were close enough in age that wasn't an issues. I think at some point you have to decide are these the hills you want to die on, or do you love them enough to maybe do more than your share?
I may be considered old fashioned, but I just do what needs to be done and move on. And sometimes my feet hurt so bad, its all I can do. But we are ok, I don't mind, and I still have the guy I love. So guess it works for me.

I never seem to know what day it is anymore. My computer does not display the date, so have to get my phone to see it. I have gotten to the point I double check on my planner before going to appointments. And sure enough my Doppler and echo are NEXT Monday. Since I no longer work or have to know the dates, I don't. One of the first questions they ask you to check for dementia, what year, month, and day. Sounds like I need to make sure of the day if I ever have to do that.
So now I think I just might go back to bed. I slept poorly last night, I hurt all over, DD said she didn't either. My side is ok this morning, but my feet and the rest of me hurt.
