interesting notion(s).
you're right, I did forget to mention the new house seat(s) for the GOP due to the census. you can add that to the Democratic disadvantages.
Texas and Florida have shown they have a problem containing growing democratic districts being held to one district as they are required to have fairly equal population numbers in each district forcing some democrats in to only slightly Republican held districts. They can swing blue in 22 or 24.

You failed to mention the redistricting going on in blue states where states that are losing a House seat the democrats are squeezing out Republicans by trying to combine the Republican districts or merge it with a democrat majority district. . that is because I live in arguably the bluest state in the country, and redistricting is no issue at all.
I have no idea what goes on in the purple states, frankly, and I don't care. it is not the subject of this thread. but if this is your attempt to mollify my request for convincing arguments in favor of it being a closer race than I think it will be, then you will have to provide a link to some of these "blue states" as you call them.
Do some investigating in Illinois I am not molifying a damn thing. I wrote the democrats are doing what you claimed republicans are doing in red states. Democrats are doing the same thing in blue states, and with democrats moving to red states, Tennessee, Arizona (maybe purple now)Texas Georgia, South Carolina Florida, the courts will see lawsuits over gerrymandering and stop some of it. It will be harder to hold Republican state wide office holders with the increase in democratic voters. It is all about demographics. Many posters have posted articles or thoughts how Republicans are old white dudes dieing out, so you should believe this scenerio to be real.......

People are Asian. Rugs are Oriental. Not according to my Japanese DIL. If you are Oriental you have those features, Asian includes groups like India Indians and others without the "oriental" features. Only those who weren't raised or don't have close ties with their home countries are the ones trying to make this distinction. It is a good thing the woke crowd here likes you!

There is not much to look at right now.
On the one hand is the Biden Approval number, which is hovering near a new low for his presidency.
On the other hand, we have the Generic Ballot, which is showing D+3:
projects.fivethirtyeight.com/congress-generic-ballot-polls/
this is painting a rather different picture from what I had previously anticipated.
midterms tend to be bad for the incumbent party. so, before I saw the generic ballot, I was thinking that this coming election WILDLY favored Republicans. this is further made true by the radical suppression going on, and the redistricting in Red States.
without thinking about it, I would have said that Democrats are going to get SHELLACKED. but I am prepared to be made wrong. convince me. You failed to mention the redistricting going on in blue states where states that are losing a House seat the democrats are squeezing out Republicans by trying to combine the Republican districts or merge it with a democrat majority district. At this time I do not expect any Republican runaway next November. All I can hope for is one more Republican Senator who is actually a Republican and they defeat the Democratic incumbant. I do not have a clue what will happen in the House races.......You forgot to mention the blue states losing a House seat are also redistricting districts and squeezing Republican held seats into neighboring democratic districts and hoping the Republican loses. As far as the House outcome I cannot predict much success there for Republicans. With so many Democrats fleeing Illinois, NY State, blue states, etc, and moving to red states some red district seats there may very well go blue in 22.

Walgreens is annoying, always sending messages and calling that a med needs to be ordered 2-3 weeks after filling -,but I still have a month’s supply WalMart does this too. For us it really annoying. The pharmacy location up north calls us and tells us our scripts are ready even though we go in and tell them we are going to Florida for a few months and transfer it to the Florida Walmart. We also go in to the Florida WalMart and tell them we want our scripts moved here from up north when we get to Florida. Do the reverse in May as we head back north. Both Pharmacies still fill the 90 day meds when we are not there.........

I did not find this variety on Walmarts webpage. It would be a great conversation for parties. The special varieties are expensive per pound! Anything is possible. Pepsi started a promotional ad campaign for Pepsi cola flavored Cracker Jack.

Obviously the posters on this forum dances to a different drummer than America does. Otherwise some posters woud recognize the demise of Joe Biden and would reflect on it here on the forum. poll.qu.edu/poll-release?releaseid=3824Revised for VB. Biden is not dead and will finish his term. FYI, the demise of Joe Biden referenced his power and political downfall as a President to the American public.

Lot of real bad shit happened last term just because a certain someone was President. I'm still processing and reading on that. Biden is not dead and will finish his term. This poster would rather reflect on a capitol rioter getting 3 months prison time and a $500 fine. I'd rather not reflect on the fact a mosque got bombed in Afghanistan with at least 50 dead, roughly 100 affected. Possibly the same people that killed our soldiers. You lost me. Are you referencing me?

Just had an IRA account post some longterm and shorterm capital gains and dividend distribution to the account. This is usually the big payout for the year, and December they payout the remaining three months. Returned 10.39% on the balance total. This fund also posted dividend distribution in April and July of this year and will post more capital gains in December to finish the year. Stock price is still above the January 1st price so a good win for us. We had only taken out a few thousand over the RMD so we should close with a higher total fund value than we started the year with unless we have a large stock market correction. This is not a high flying fund more of the middle of the road type fund plodding along........ Now if my other IRA and the wife's IRA pays out similar to this, we are looking at a great return on total dollar value as we pulled more out than the required minimum withdrawl. One of the funds pretty much mirrors the fund I mentioned here, so hopefully, despite inflation, we come out well ahead this year. Now is the time for everyone to start checking in on your fund porfolio so you do not wind up with some December regret for this year's tax bill

The bills I received were for the initial x-ray and doctors. I don't remember emergency room charge. So far I have received nothing. I have Medicare and a supplement. I was in a hospital built specifically for covid patients oxygen needs. The hospitals are saying there are not enough beds. Where did all the beds go from last year? Back to elective and other surgeries? One very odd thing I remember is the orderly or CNA saying that there were trailers with cotton candy machines making the oxygen. There were oriental girls of the same height that held a pole or something to capture the candy. I also saw those women walk by my window with just a mask. The excess cotton candy was sold overseas. The person attending me said those two just caught covid. When I told H, he drove around the hospital and found no box trailers. I had other strange things happen. That had to be pretty good meds you were on.

Over the years, we went from Walgreens to CVS, and finally wound up with WalMart. Walmart was the only pharmacy that seemed to never have a problem filling the 90 day scripts without a few day's delay on a fairly regular interval unlike the other two companies. Sometimes they would give us 30 days or whatever, tell us to come back in three weeks and they would fill the rest. Then insurance would not honor it, because the original script was for 90 days, thus a week's fight to straighten the mess out.
Same for new scripts. Sometimes the two of them would say "we are out of this, and will take a few days to fill it". When you have a new script, you need it now not days later.......
Walgreens and CVS may be much better now, Idnk

Trump reported his hotel earned 156 million in the five year period around his presidency. However, what he reported was just the money that the hotel MADE - not the net profit. In fact, the hotel LOST 70 million in that period. (Supposedly Trump fudged the numbers so that people would not realize what a shitty businessman he was). This loss was in spite of the fact his hotel got 3.7 million from foreign governments, and despite the fact that Deutsch bank gave him a 6 year deferment on a huge loan. www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-organization-hid-payments-foreign-governments-us-house-panel-alleges-2021-10-08/The article fails to mention the money the Trump’s paid themselves for all the inauguration expenses they overcharge for at their hotel. This is the kind of number fudging - making properties look either very profitable or very unprofitable depending on whether he is trying to get a loan off them or has to pay taxes on them - that the NY DA has been investigating - that and tax fraud. Hopefully this is all getting accumulated together to craft an enormous legal case against him. it might all be a book loss. he does that a lot. I don't think he actually cares whether he makes money. he borrows like a drunken sailor and never repays anything, as far as I can tell.
Since his son took control of the property kingdom after Trump was President, Trump did not lose anything, until after he is out of office. Do even blind trusts which everyone seems to think solves the problem, turns over the profits once the blind trust is dissolved? Yes I realize this was not a blinf=d trust, but want to know about whether all politicians putting assets into a blind trust not garner the proceeds after out of office?

I don't think VB understands what a cult is. part of cult behavior is unquestioning loyalty to the leader of the cult. that sounds like a prominent politician, but his name is not Joe. Quite honestly you, who love polls and always give us an unvarnished view of polls, ignore what is going on with Joe and the Democrats.

I’ve heard that one. Also that hospitals get paid $10000 bonus if someone dies of Covid so that’s why there are so many covid deaths. People are stupid. Ok, I have heard that one too. How about this one? Do the hospitals send all bills for every Covid patient they treat to the government for reimbursement? Myself I do not know but you hear this all the time.

Now that you mention it, I got a vaccine by air gun at school. I have no idea of what it was. I do know what it wasn't: measles, mumps or chicken pox as I had all three of those. Maybe it was polio? I remember a sugar cube but was there more than one? When I was drafted in 1969, during basic training we were marched to the infirmary for our vaccinations. In the military in basic training you do not sign any agreement for the shots. The gun was for multiple vaccinations, or at least that was the scuttlebut going around us. We were lined up outside and marched in a single line into a room, where staff shot the gun into your forearm, and marched back out another door, standing in a loose formation waiting for everyone to come out. Drill Sergeant walks down the line inspecting the arms, stops at Value Buy, AND SAYS SOLDIER, ARE YOU OK? I replied yes drill sergeant! He said sit down! Turns out the assembly line procedure of the shots means either the person getting the shot must stand still or the medical person has to hold the gun still and correctly. Had blood dripping down the arm. They wiped me up, and I had a sort of zigzag line across the arm like a large scrape from a chainlink fence....to this day I wonde how effective my shots were and whether I got the full dose The only other time we had shots were in Advanced training and it was given to troops who were with orders for going overseas.

yeah, I think we need to stop pinning this on NY. NY had the disadvantage of being the first or second densely populated region to get this, at a time when testing basically didn't exist. NO OTHER REGION HAS THAT EXCUSE. sorry, but those are the facts. so, yes, NY got hit hard because it had all the disadvantages and none of the advantages. if you take virtually every other instance SINCE then, however, a quite different picture of the pandemic emerges. Problem with this is they knew this was highly transmittable from the beginning. You do not fill retirement homes with people wih highly transmittable communicable diseases. Even after Cuomo knew there was a problem, he did not rectify the situation. He hid it. Remember, high level politicians rarily go to jail for the crime, it is the cover up that does them in. In his case it was not evn that. It was hisldesire for a kiss........ P.S. Californis and the Pacific coast were also hit at the very beginning. None of them committed this mistake, although I do believe Oregon or Wshington had the nusing home problem but immediately fixed it and not sure if the state was putting covid patients in the homes.

I think VB is fixated on NYC because of the politics and is ignoring the fact NYC is bigger than a fair amount of states population-wise. NY and NJ got clobbered in the beginning of the pandemic. Because of that, they remain at #5 and #2 in the Worldometer dashboard on deaths per 1 Million in population. But they are right now at #32 and #31 for Covid cases per 1 Million population. TN is current leaderboard material for cases per 1 Million population followed by North Dakota and Florida. Death rate is currently owned by MS with AL, Louisiana, and Arizona in the top 6. I think Florida has been under-reporting so I wonder if accurate reporting would change their ranking. From my earlier post, those planning to not get the vaccine are around 13 to 15% of the population according to that link. If VB's number of 5500 NYC teachers in accurate, it is under 10% of NYC teachers. nypost.com/2021/02/02/nyc-teacher-poll-finds-60-percent-would-exit-department-of-education/But the DOE stressed Tuesday that the poll engaged only a small percentage of the city’s roughly 120,000 school staffers — including 75,000 classroom teachers.Okay, one more time. The majority of posters here blame hard far right Republican Trump backers, white people, for not getting the vaccine and spreading the disease. I am saying that is not all true. If you look at the infection and death rates of minorities in many states it is higher than white demographics. You can say yeh, because white people are highly vaccinated, but that includes a bunch of white Republicans too. You cannot make this political when vast numbers of minority Democrats refuse to get the vaccine. If anyone bothered to dig deep in the data I posted by opening the links, even in southern red states there are huge numbers of minority designated populations remaining unvaccinated. The problem is much deeper than that. Call it distrust of the government, distrust of vaccines, call it anything but a far right conspiracy, and please quit putting statements out there it is ok to cull the herd.
