car shopping on-line and laundry are my main focus - Then trying to think of ways and where can I go to get access to a computer? I entered a on-line contest and I need votes - but only 1 computer can vote at a time(IP Address thing) my original plan was to use the computers at work and rack up votes when people are away for lunch - LOL but the vote section is blocked at work!

Looks like TD and I will be spending our Saturday driving from Myrtle Beach back to Lexington. My friends left at an ungodly hour this morning, didn't even hear 'em slip out. Our drive isn't going to be near as long as their's.
Awesome time, hopefully we're going to do this same time next year.

Hope you get let loose early Apple. Right now I'm enjoying coffee and not enjoying doing laundry. Waiting for a rain storm to pass to hit the the yard and finish installing a flower bed started last weekend. Later this afternoon heading to my bff's for a bbq. She lives an hour away and alcohol will be involved, so I'll be packing a bag and an inflatable bed - a couple friends from Chicago are coming for the gathering too and staying at her place as well. In other words, I guess I'm going to a slumber party.

Coffee and puttering with housework. A typical Saturday for me and I love it. This afternoon I am going to an art showing of a couple of friends. Probably hit the second hand stores while I am out and about. I love summer Saturdays.

I haven't been on as much lately, just trying to get more done at the house. I'm waiting for an estimate for the ground work on the property, but that should start soon. Not near where I wanted to be at this point, but it will happen. We're looking good for getting out of work at noon This may be the last weekend of OT so I should put in a full day, but I don't want to have to find more work (and I'd rather be at home).

Been trying to tame the paper monster since I got up. First load of laundry is in the dryer. Need to take out trash, shower, go pick up meds and some stuff at Target. And I need to get moving bc all of this needs to be done by three.
Apparently there are some rednecks up here bc there is a demolition derby somewhere around here tonight.

kicked back watching it rain & watching Nascar qualifying. Eventually I'll do a couple of loads of laundry. Tonight my brother & his bf are coming over to play Trivial Pursuit & make homemade ice cream. Yummy!

Cool, wet weather here today, so staying in and vegging. Woke up with a leg-cramp at about 3:30 am and it took over an hour to get rid of it, so I'm sleep-deprived this morning too. Now to think of somthing simple to make for dinner. ETA: I love trivial pursuit (and ice cream), Steff. I just might show up at your place.

We found a new version that makes it move faster and is a lot of fun. The other players get to bet on whether or not you will answer the question right or not.

Red velvet CAKE is southern thing...but it isn't authentic unless it has vinegar in the cake recipe and toasted pecans in the icing recipe! If you want THAT recipe....look for Paula Dean's recipe.
I've never heard of a red velvet cheese cake!

However just looking forward to going to the movies and working on my budget / money spreadsheet oh making a mix tape...errr CD LOL - does anyone still do that? remember making those cassette tapes with your favorite songs and listen to it while in High School with your walkman? LOL yea I still do that for the car. I NEED one for the new SUV - until I can figure out if / how to get satellite radio Mix CD's for the Honda is like doing actual work! because the radio in the Honda can read folders! so I can have 8 folders with 16 to 21 tracks and one picture in EACH folder!! YEA - nice right - my opinion better than connecting an I-Pod to the radio

So far, I'm on my second load of laundry, bed's been stripped and remade and bathroom's cleaned. I've also sewn buttons on 2 pair of shorts and 2 pair of khakis. I'm also thinking about putting on a second pot of coffee.
Slept like crap last night, still up at 2 am, eyes popped open at 6:30.

Working. Take one day off work and 30 MB of new "important" e-mails come in that need attention ASAP! I guess it's better that I got the information yesterday instead of yelling at people on Monday. <<sigh>> Cheesy's jealous; one of the things I'm doing is modifying decision flow diagrams.

Caught up on some desperately needed sleep so far today. Need to get started on the laundry. Glue traps need replaced as they are full of bugs. Kitchen and bathroom need scrubbed then I can work on the rest of the apartment tomorrow.
I thought I needed to whip it into show worthy shape since I am not renewing but a little birdie told me they won't show occupied units when they have empty ones and they currently have about 10 empty ones.
And oh I need to find a new apartment too. My dad has taken leave of his senses and thinks I should look at houses.

wvu - So... why have you eliminated sharing an apartment, perhaps with a grad student? Or rent a room from a professor; that's what I did in grad school the first year. You are closer to younger people that way.

What did you get, Zib? We went to the Farmer's Market last week and I bought 2 cilantro plants for $1 each, they have exploded this week! I will be making fajitas all summer. So far today I've done a little weeding and planted some herbs in the raised garden DH made for me yesterday. Fighting the urge to go buy some more plants... I'm garden-crazy this summer! DH was supposed to meet someone in the next county to look at the Jeep he's selling, but I think the guy backed out. Saves me a car trip

Well, I was GOING to buy healthy stuff, REALLY I was, but the bread area stole my heart and pocketbook. Then I bought eggs which the seller swears are better than the spendy ones I buy in the grocery store so we will see what DF says about them. Then I bought soap and deoderant for DF's skin cuz he's allergic to the world, it seems. Cinnamon bread, cinnamon raisin bread, sour cherry strudel, apricot filled "things." YUM!!!!!

SBS that is pretty much out for me. I know it would be cheaper but I am just so under attack from my allergies right now. I think the only thing keeping me out of the ER is the fact that I have can control the environment. I can dust and sweep every day only open the windows now and then etc. Take shoes off at door and all that good stuff. Cheaper rent would be nice but I don't think its worth my health. Yes, I'm sure I could find someone with similar problems or just an OCD clean freak but honestly I am tired my energy is zapped by day to day getting by. The thought of finding a new place and a suitable roommate is more than I can handle. zib I am pretty positive I am allergic to the world these days. It sucks majorly. I can't have shots right now the only thing that will make me better. My grass allergy is off the charts and grass pollen is bad now. Too dangerous for me to have shots until the end of winter when everything's been killed off. I wish I had a bubble somedays.

All the teens came home today.... and all but one extra actually went home to their own parents....lol that one will go home tomorrow from what I'm hearing. I just finished making another 10 jars of hot sauce...cleaned, stuffed and froze about 40 jalapenos (from the garden), fixing to mop the kitchen & bathroom floors, doing laundry....once it cools off more, I'll go pick in the garden again & water everything & sweep off the bridge & porches & deck. Then at some point tonight, I'll make stuffed pork chops & scallop potatoes for dinner.

Oh and after dinner, hubby has asked if I'll make brownies since he doesn't like the cookie selection we have. I got 2 big bags of fresh blueberries (from someone hubby works with), so I might also make blueberry muffins for breakfast tomorrow.....or a blueberry cobbler....hmmmmm could make a cheesecake with blueberry topping....
