Or the Alzheimers had kicked in and the treasonous swine he had surrounded himself with 'forgot' to inform him.
I just loved that whole affair...Israelis transferring weapons they had seized from the PLO through us to the Contras. Plus the Israelis transferring on at least 3 occasions TOW and Hawk anti-tank missiles to the Iranians on our behalf. Minimum.
Consider now how the righties wet themselves over Obama having given the Iraninas back their own money. CASH...OMG!!! Missiles...no big deal/Reagan/Israel. there was also a drug connection through the BCCI.
i thought it was an aberration, before Trump.

Sure, VB, Trump is having a good day. One good day in two years of fuck ups, tweets, antagonizing our allies, cozying up to our enemies, talking shit about heros like John McCain, the biggest deficit ever, the biggest trade imbalance ever, and layer after layer of his company, his charity and his inaugural committee being peeled back to reveal a family and an administration mired in grift and self dealing.
I encourage you to enjoy this day. Trump certainly is, although his toadies have tried to talk him into not being 'triumphant.' He can't help it, and he can't help threatening destruction to everyone he perceives is his enemy. That's just how your POTUS is, one hand extended out to his blindly loyal followers, the other extended out in a big fuck you to the rest of us.
It worked for him in 2016. Let's see if it will still work in 2020.
yeah- great. he is not a Russian agent. yippee.
next?
It should would have been nice if Mueller had been able to interview those thirteen Russian citizens his team indicted. But of course Putin would not allow it. Putin had to protect his boy.

that election thread is actually really good. check out this comment (one of the last ones I made before leaving for CR):
3) the demographics in NH are quite similar to those of the US. if Clinton wins by 1% in NH, she will probably lose all of the tossup states. if she wins by 4%, she will probably win all of the tossup states. 4) because IF Clinton loses all of the tossup states, AND NH, she will lose the election. it is really that simple.
it really was that simple. Clinton won NH by 0.1%, lost all but one of the swing states, and lost WI (which was, indeed a surprise).
the fact that I was saying, up until the last hour I left, that Clinton might actually lose this one, and HOW, I think speaks well of me.
the oddsmakers got it wrong. all of them. every one of them. the smart money lost. and that is probably because like me, all of them thought Clinton would win WI easily.
misery loves company, and mine was the best.
edit: I just checked, and that was not ONE of my last posts, it was my last post before the election.

I know what The Onion is. My point is that it's not a part of the MSM.
Your answer is right. Your stated reasoning is wrong. How so? If you're objecting to my characterization of The Onion as "news", think 'news' as in "news format". The Onion's "news cycle" (or "content cycle", if you prefer) isn't in lockstep with the MSM conglomerate. You generally can't predict what issues The Onion is going to be parodying, the information they're going to provide, or the yarn they're going to spin based solely on other nodes in a conglomerate. With the MSM, you can. If you know what any one node (say, CNN) in the network is talking about on a given day, the information they're providing, and the yarn they're spinning, you know exactly what every other node (CNBC, Bloomberg, Newsweek, the Daily Show, etc., etc., all the way down to your local newspaper) is going to be talking about, the information they're going to provide, and the yarn they're going to spin. They report to different audiences, with different formats, but they're otherwise perfectly synchronized. Hardly surprising, since they're owned and controlled by the same media conglomerate, i.e. "the MSM".

I'm not surprised they were not able to "get" Trump. But I crack up when I read the statement by Mueller that "while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him."
First, that is a butt covering statement if I ever heard one.
Second, it is pretty clear that Trump was not exonerated, given the fact the Mueller implicitly said the report does not exonerate him.

First, that is a butt covering statement if I ever heard one. Second, it is pretty clear that Trump was not exonerated, given the fact the Mueller implicitly said the report does not exonerate him. Lindsey Graham has already twice refused to let the Senate vote on making the Mueller report public.
Which is why it's extremely important for Americans to make sure that report sees the light of day. Mueller punted on the 'obstruction' issue, but all of us saw that interview Trump gave to NBC where he states that he fired Comey because of the 'Russia thing' - which was clearly obstruction.
Trump wants to sweep this under the carpet, pronounce himself 'completely exonerated' threaten all the people on his enemies list and everyone in the media, and (hopefully) sweep himself into victory in 2 years. It's the only way he can keep from getting indicted for four more years, and hopefully salvage his personal business from the crapper. By the way, a former Trump associate will be on Capital Hill this week, testifying about his money laundering activities (he attempted to help hide 4 billion that was stolen from a bank, using real estate deals in NYC and Russia). And the feds raided Trump's fundraiser's office on March 18th, looking for proof of money laundering, among other things. Of course, Trump will insist 'he didn't know anything about that' but when you're constantly covered in pig shit, at some point, you have to admit that you know pigs exist.

I tried watching Joe Scarborough this morning after 8 am, have not listened to him and his wife for over a year, so cannot confirm or deny what he just said. He claims democrats told him in September of last year that Russia collusion was not on the mind of American voters. He also said Schiff told him last year that America does not care about Russia, but he has to go through the investigation anyway. Topping it off, he said he said this several times over the month on the air. For crying out loud, Washington democrats say this shit and do what they did? Sciff has claimed for a year he had the evicence. This guy should be interviewed by the A/G/ and demand he turn over his evidence. If he does not, he should be charged with treason.

This thread started on March 12th, and just want to say, conservatives told you so! Now let's start the real investigation to actual collusion and treason. Most of the Obama Administration (at this time I do not even think Obama was part of it. He was on his way out and thinking about glorious retirement options for the next 20 years) The DNC Hillary Clinton John Podesta The leadership of the FBI taking the lead through documents they knew were false and running with it. Possibly members in the actual Justice Department. Then we also have to ask, what did Joe Biden know and when did he know it? Have to ask, because he was considered an insider in the Administration and a valuable member of the team. (I do not think he was. Just window dressing) I am probably missing others, but this is a good start.

I was worried about Wisconsin, due to the lack of political signs for Clinton on people's land as I drove on vacations. There weren't a ton of Trump ones either.
Johnson winning the Senate was a surprise too, due to all the signs for Feingold that were up.

Another liberal not interested in actual law and Justice. It was Trump being investigated. And he is still far from being in the clear. You know that right? The reason he is calling everyone from John McCain to "The Press" the enemies of the people is to distract from that you know. You're such an anarchist and eco-terrorist, Deminmaine.

You are conveniently forgetting something: the Democrats neither appointed the special counsel (that was done by the Department of Justice) nor did they control either the House or the Senate when the counsel was appointed.
So what is this whole "Washington democrats say this shit and do what they did" thing you come up with? I believe if we really want this whole stinking issue put to rest the full report needs to be released, especially since Barr is not know to be unbiased regarding this investigation.

That said, I don't think we will see the report → it will be shuffled in with dt's tax reports → but I do hope my prediction is wrong since that will be better for the country, unless it isn't of course...

If we don't get to see the actual report, I hope at least the Dems can get Mueller to testify to congress on the investigation.
He declined to determine if Trump should be indicted for obstructing justice. I'd be interested to hear why he did that. I have a feeling he'll tell the truth.
Then let's see if Trump continues to call Mueller 'a very honorable person'.

There was apparently a fight over subpoenaing trump. Obstruction requires intent. I wouldn’t be surprised if Muelker said hey, here is all this evidence but minus an interview I can’t recommend on intent...
Also given that mueller questions whether a sitting pres can be indicted that could also be an issue.
I continue to await the report.

Proof that Barr shouldn't have decided within just 48 hours that he wasn't going to indict on the 'obstruction' issue. That it should have been presented fully to Congress to allow them to determine if it was indictable or not.
I'm sure Trump is breathing a sign of relief that he got Sessions out and Barr in prior to the release of that report. Sessions did not proof to be the reliable toady Barr is.

Isn't A.G. Barr's temporizing just that, though: temporizing? Has he actually come out and said he's going to move against publishing the report, or is it just about timing?

If trump does not want the full report released, Barr cannot override trump's decision. The full report will have some areas redacted due to ongoing investigations elsewhere in the country. trump may also claim executive priviledge in having his written responses to Mueller (for example) redacted. It's said it will take some weeks to prepare the report for public release.

The GOP senator majority leader, Mitch McConnell, is against releasing the full report to the public. The GOP controls the senate. McConnell's spouse is trump's U.S. secretary of transportation.
