the people from my HO are now planning to carpool into the city. I'm now even more glad I'm not going as I'd have to get the subway and train and Uber alone after dark.

Lol, kinda means it was a good party whatever, I treated myself to pad Thai and fell asleep on the couch at 10. That's right - y'all can't keep up with the life I live!

When I was a small kid, my parents went out every weekend night. Babysitters all the time. When I was around ten, my parents went out about one night each weekend. Still had a babysitter. By the time I was an early teen, the folks maybe went out twice a month on a weekend night. No babysitter. And by the time I was 18, tbe folks went out on a weekend night maybe once a month. By the time I was my parents age when I was a small kid, and around ten, and an early teen, and then 18 years old, I finally understood why my parents went out less on weekends as they got older: they were tired from working all week. Me too.

You're a night owl, I'm in bed by 9:30, lol. I also would have had no qualms about skipping the party. Our work parties are either during convenient company hours or convenient off hours (say, a Friday night Phillies game or a Saturday evening cocktail party at a museum) and no one gives two shits if you go or not.

Saturday night BF and I watched a movie and I think I was sleeping by 10. I've become a hermit...an 80 year old hermit!

I do! And the Thai Food I had was the food kind. I don't like that euphemism because Thai food is perhaps my favorite cuisine beside new American. What's so wrong about being more literal? I had a hot man or hot woman?
