What poll said 70% of the voters wanted DACA to stay? I did a quick google , found this one, seems it says 77% are in favor...main thing American public, including the liberals , independents, even some conservatives in favor of Daca kids staying...77% of anything in a poll, election is extraordinary...over the top.....to go against is a big no no in my book...even possible for that infamouse base of the man... ---------------------------- www.newsmax.com/US/poll-daca-recipients-stay/2017/12/13/id/831574/ =============================== poll above link wouldn't post but many articles all very positive...just do a quick google...u will be over whelmed... =============================== "An overwhelming majority of Americans supports legal protections for certain undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children, according to a new CBS News poll. According to the survey, almost 9 in 10 respondents — 87 percent — said they believe that the so-called Dreamers should be allowed to remain in the U.S. if they meet certain requirements, such as working or going to school. The findings come as lawmakers struggle to strike a deal to protect those immigrants, who are covered by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. President Trump rescinded the Obama-era program last September, but he gave Congress until March to come up with a legislative solution for its recipients. ----------------------------------

Polls. The only purpose of most polls is to push some agenda.
Didn't We learn anything from polls a little over a year ago that Trump only had a 10% chance of winning?
Now, We are supposed to again believe polls even after it truly apparent that polls have an agenda?

Remember, We are dealing with political idiots or both sides of the political spectrum here, Congress and the President. It is a huge pissing contest! with hundreds of thousands of lives at stake. The solution is,,,, Give Trump his "Wall",,, he will let the kids stay!
But because We have all the political posturing going on,, Dems,, No we aren't going to give some stupid "Wall",, Repos,, then We aren't going to let the kids stay,,
So for the next 500 years all the finger pointing,, you didn't do this,,, you didn't do this,,,

Why does this surprise you? Because part of the reason he won was no DACA and getting rid of the illegals. I’m suspicious of polls that have a preconceived agenda in mind. Trump has been pro letting the dreamers stay in the past. This is from February 2017:
“They shouldn’t be very worried,” Trump said in an ABC News interview in January when asked how his policies would affect the Dreamers.
“They are here illegally. They shouldn’t be very worried. I do have a big heart. We’re going to take care of everybody. We’re going to have a very strong border. We’re gonna have a very solid border. Where you have great people that are here that have done a good job, they should be far less worried. We’ll be coming out with policy on that over the next period of four weeks.”
time.com/4927100/donald-trump-daca-past-statements/
He was pro- DACA because he knows so many Americans are pro letting them stay, and Trump pays attention to polls:
thehill.com/homenews/administration/368959-poll-most-americans-support-daca
No preconceived agenda in mind. Just what your fellow Americans think about letting kids who were brought here as children and lived their whole lives here to stay.

I see. Well, it’ll be interesting to see what plays out. I don’t think congress should be collecting their salaries in the meantime. I’m wondering if they still have that lovely banking system where they overdraw all the time? That was a huge scandal years ago.

I have work with Illegals, I have hired Illegals, My DIL came here as an illegal, I have many friend that came here or over stayed illegally. Almost everyone now has legal papers. Of those friends, some were from the Czech republic, some were Canadian, some were Korean, some were East Indian, and some were Mexican. So it is not just a Mexican thing, which is where most of the noise is about, In as far as putting the employers in jail,, the economy would stop cause there are illegals every where. But no where as bad as before 2008. The recession sent a whole bunch back home. It had more to do with the economy than with any of the laws. Yea I hear the argument if you pay more you will get Americans to work, So is the answer to pay some one $25. an hour? When they don't even know how to run a pick and shovel much less than actually work.

I saw this in yesterday's paper. Read the article and think about who would be allowed to come here under this proposal. It gives preference to people that have over $1.35 million You also are expected to have a job offer over $77,900/year.
I was thinking about the points system on my way to work, and my conclusion was it would give preference to the very wealthy, and those individuals would very likely have amassed the wealth in illegal and underhanded fashion in 3rd world countries.
oops. forgot the link:

While there is talk of raising min wage to $15.00 in some areas...most States are way below that...and even with a moderate suggested raise the grumbling from employers are a roar...Saw a sign in a Pizza shop the other day...this is one with one of those moving belt ovens...put in un baked pizza in one end and it comes out all done at the other..like highly skilled work it is not..$@12.00 per hour...That's $480.00 a week..[40 hour week] to basically roll out dough..put ingredient's on...cut into slices when done...put in box and collect $ ...Pepperoni lg is @$6.99...Got to sell a lot of pizzas to cover that, plus seems at least two on floor whenever I have gone there...plus lights, electricity, rent, boxes...

They got a 6 year CHIP extension & a guarantee that DACA would be brought to the floor in 3 weeks or we shut down again.
Not seeing much blinking. I see Dems slowly getting the GOP to release their hostages.

and *he who shall not be named* can't take credit for any of the agreement because he's been nonexistent as far as negotiations go. His weekend was basically like grounding a teenager. He didn't get to have friends over, he didn't get to go to the party, he had to stay in his room & think about it.

Sanders...as usual with her...my reading...she dissed the Democrats...all their fault, shut down, they came to their senses...no sense of working together..basically the Donald will dictate, Dems and rest will comply or else.. My feelings, if the Donald continues to not negotiate on the Datca, illegals..just pontificate and strut..I always see a bit of Mussolini in his stance then in three weeks, government will be shut down...wall off the table, the young kids probably be deported, country will be split even more...if possible...Donald spending more time in el Lago and ms Sanders still spinning crap....she does that very well...

CHP and DACA are supported by 80% of Americans. Why doesn’t the GOP represent the 80%?

CHP and DACA are supported by 80% of Americans. Why doesn’t the GOP represent the 80%? CHP and DACA are just hostages to the GOP. That's why they didn't just approve CHP at any point over the last 120 days. They held them as an "ace up their sleeve" for negotiating. Which IMO, proves they don't care & have no hearts. They used sick children as pawns & that is unforgivable. Now the Dems have gotten the CHP hostage set free & have the next hostages, DACA, up for negotiations. The Dems couldn't hold out for too long or the support would have eventually turned on them. This way they got 1 hostage free & the next ones are closer to the door to freedom. I also believe that every Dem knows they can't trust McConnell & Ryan, so they have to grab the hostages when they get the opportunity & then start working on the next ones knowing not to trust the hostage takers.

Polls. The only purpose of most polls is to push some agenda. false. the only purpose of MOST polls is the survey opinion. this idea you just stated doesn't pass the sniff test. pollsters are commercial enterprises designed to make money (except in-house polling agencies like Rasmussen, which are designed to SAVE money). they make money by providing ACCURATE information. want proof? you can look into this if you like, but i am not going to research this for you right now, because i already have. if you look at how RATES are determined for polling agencies, they are determined by ACCURACY. in other words, pollsters that NAIL the polling get the best rates, and everyone else has to play 2nd fiddle. just think about what that means from a market perspective, and try to use some logic for a change. tyia
