Tell me you really do know what "photo shopped" is. Of course it was not a real head made to look like 45. It was proudly made by her, or the photographer's staff. No photo shop involved. She was happy to post the photo holding the head. Personal development by her renders her responsible for all content I think it was just a mask she picked up somewhere. I don't think she was thinking much about what it would appear to be. Given her caption, I would have expected a full body Trump with some blood south of the border or blood out of the eyes and ears only, but that still wouldn't be funny even if someone had been wearing the mask for the photo shoot. At best, tone deaf because that's from the campaign and the current news is the trip and the Russia probe.
To ensure she got her point across, Griffin attached a message to the tweet: "I caption this 'there was blood coming out of his eyes, blood coming out of his ... wherever,'" a reference to Trump's comment about then-Fox News host Megyn Kelly from August 2015. www.msn.com/en-us/news/opinion/is-kathy-griffins-apology-enough/ar-BBBJEGv?li=BBnb7Kz
Unlike Nugent, I don't think she was advocating violence against Trump. If she really had been advocating cutting Trump's head off, IMO there wouldn't have been fake blood all over the face, just from the neck dripping down. But for reasons I do not want to understand, she decided his "where ever" was apparently the top of his head? and that using a Trump mask like this would be funny and edgy somehow. Instead of tasteless, bizarre, and no redeeming point to it.
It was not a mask she just picked up somewhere. She commented in the video that she and the photographer would have to flee to Mexico after she posts the video. She knew the chance she was taking. It was her intent to ridicule President Trump. Give her some credit.........she is not as dumb as you are trying to portray her.

I'm confused. Is Photoshop better than using a prop? Worse? Why exactly? I'm not getting the big differentiation between faking an object and faking a photo, or why one should be more or less outraged at one or the other.
You say she was "happy to post the photo", holding the fake head. Is the assumption that people who posted Photoshopped photos were unhappy to do so but somehow forced into it?
How is it photo shopped if she helped develop the fake head? Her intent is clear. Usual photo shopped photos are posted by other than the intended victim. Looks like we have posters who are now blaming the victim rather than perpetrator.I think you leapt the shark on that assertion. No one, until you, even mentioned blaming Trump. All I've read is why is this such a big deal if the board, given some conservative posters ignored actual threats against Obama and other non conservative politicians?
Her intent isn't clear, I had to read over three articles before finding one that actually revealed what the caption was to be for the image. Most of them seem to have gotten on the OMG train because it sells more media that saying WTE, how does that caption go with this image? What is she thinking?

Notice she didn't apologize to Trump. Neither did Ted Nugent to President Obama.

She criticized Palin for the crosshairs comment. Actually blamed the Giffords shooting on her.
So, i guess the next real beheading is on her.

After all the disgusting things that were said and shown on the Obamas and nothing was done this is pretty disingenuous.

The thing that really gets me, is she was fired and lost a couple of gigs so far. I admit the NYE job at CNN is no biggie.
All the male comics and some media geniuses, who are all male, faced no backlash, and were applauded for their over the top segments. Not one of them ever apologized for what they said.
She did apologize even if I thought it was not quite real, and gets hit by the left wingers anyway. Talk about female bias still being around. Reminds me of Ellen when she came out as gay. she lost her comedy show and was persona non grata for a year or so in Hollywood. I started the thread with the title, she went over the edge, but the unequal treatment she has received is even worse by the media and business entities.
How about equal treatment for males and females?

Kathy Griffin's stunt was really just the culmination of two years of opposition to Donald Trump that has as its hallmarks mental instability and increasingly outrageous outbursts. The image of Kathy Griffin holding Trump's severed head is an accurate depiction of where the #NeverTrump GOP, the Democratic Party, The deep state, and the media are today.

She's trying to incite violence against Trump. While I agree with most anyone here that this photo was disgusting, would you please provide me a link where all of you here went of on Ted Nugent when he threatened violence against Obama and HRC? Or is it only "inciting violence" worthy because it is dt?

You are right! W was incredibly disingenuous. Who didn't like "Mission Accomplished" with the sweat sox balled up in the crotch of his fight suit.

I think if she'd been popular she'd have gotten away with it but she's not so even those who'd love for it to have really been trumps head, can say ick and pretend to be horrified.

I did not say it was photo shopped. Please re-read. What I asked was why a fake object was deserving of so much more outrage than a faked photo (photoshop) in your opinion? You are attempting to craft a distinction that one is so much worse and I fail to see how fake object in a photo is drastically more scorn worthy than fake photo. Please explain.
Also, I am going to hope your comment about "victim blaming" is being made tongue in cheek? Is there a victim here?? Who and why? I'm not big on namby-pamby crying of "I'm a victim" unless someone was actually damaged in some way. Who was harmed? Kathy Griffin? Or are you trying to imply Trump is a victim? How was he harmed? And who blamed him?

I see it didn't take long for the hive mind to activate.
Early on in this thread all agreed this was terrible, etc.
But once the liberal talking points came out then everyone jumps on the Ted Nugent bandwagon.
Independent thinking is a scary thing.

So people are only allowed to say this particular incident is terrible, but that nothing else that has ever happened to any other president is also terrible?

So, lemme get this straight. Everyone queuing up like sheep to be in 100% agreement that this is wrong without further comment is evidence of "independent thinking"? While taking a step back to look at this from a larger historical perspective of similar incidents and the various reactions to them is "hive mentality"? LOL Your bias is showing.

Ah, Rob's hive mind argument he drags out every time there is agreement he doesn't like. So in his opinion it is not a hive mind if everyone agrees, but suddenly if something is brought up that can be labeled liberal thought and perceived liberals agree, suddenly its a problem and its a hive mind per Rob.
Recycled arguments get old, especially when they are so obviously partisan.

One of the other ideas she had was to be naked in a bathtub of Cheetos. The photographer talked her out of it, because he didn't think the tub could be fully cleaned later.

I'm betting she caught the Trumpwinningmademestupidandmean virus. I don't think there is a cure or treatment yet but you'd think they'd be working on it pretty hard. It's shown to be incredibly contagious. But honestly...who cares what she says or does? I care as much as I do about what Ted Nugent says or does...which is pretty much not at all. Has-beens try to stay in the limelight. That isn't new. It's my opinion that she feeds on this stuff much like a 3 year old will repeat a cuss word if you make a big deal out of it.
I do feel bad that, if true, the little boy saw it. I would feel bad if any child saw something like that about one of his or her parents.

I wonder if the little boy heard the conversation between his dad and Billy Bush? I'm sure he probably has at least read it somewhere. People post it or report on it 24/7 like its breaking news or something. I'd feel awful if he heard that, too.
