I'm ashamed to admit I voted twice. Both were for Pedro. It didn't help :-(

Did you forget the Repo majorities in the House and Senate that easily?

Or you could see it as, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." Many of the people I know who voted for Trump did so because they were unhappy with many of the BHO policies and saw HRC as a continuation of the same.

Looking at the results of the actual election versus this poll, can we now agree that these boards have a higher % of liberal posters? Because the actual results are 50%/50%

Id be more interested in who voted for trump because he was less awful than hillary and vice versa. I think we already know the board and majority of posters leanings.

Because the actual results are 50%/50% These boards very well might. Posters who are active on the P&M board are a lot more evenly split. Or at least they were as of early last spring when I did my analysis of active posters on that board. At that time they were almost evenly split. I don't think that has changed much since then. I don't remember your earlier poll, deminmaine, so I may be off base on my assumption. I think MOST people feel they are moderates. Maybe lean a little left, maybe lean a little right, but mostly moderate. This election has shown (me, anyway) that the moderates are the ones who swing the election. Many of the very same people who got BHO elected voted for DJT this time is what I've heard on the news. The results of this poll don't surprise me as there were many, many people on P&M who spoke out in support of HRC. There were fewer who spoke out in support of DJT. Having said that, I still don't think there is so much a liberal bias here as a difference of opinion on who was the better candidate. Neither is wrong. They're just different. If we all had the same opinions all the time, life would be very boring.

Its possible the board as a whole leans liberal or at least anti-Trump. Voters were self selecting so that has a bias as well. On P&M a few posters that are considered pro Hillary likely voted third party as perhaps some considered pro Trump. Since it wasn't restricted to P&M posters, we can't make any useful conclusions from it for just the P&M board.
