Iggy aka IG, I'm sorry that I gave the impression that I was saying people who support Trump are not not good people. Not at all what I mean. Rather, that I didn't understand how good people could align themselves with someone who is *not* (in my opinion) a good person. You know, like how in real life you normally tend to align yourself with others who have similar core values. I don't see where Trump has any values at all that don't involve wealth or gain to himself. So how does someone who is a good person overlook those massive faults. Others have answered and I still really don't get it. And, as I've said before, I don't like her either. I didn't vote for either one of them.

Thank you, moon/Laura. Here's what I've been telling people all year (I'm involved with our county's Republican party, including a commissioner's campaign): I've been a Trump girl for at least a decade. I own his books. I appreciate him as a businessman, bankruptcies and all. He's a good father. He wasn't a perfect DH in his first marriages, and he admits it. Someone told me his outfitter friend hosted Ivana and Donald's children for several years, and they were put to work on the ranch with no complaints or attitudes. These are the values I appreciate in him and his family. Yes, I am aware of all of the negative things he has said and done. But then, so has his opponent. People will never forget her role in Benghazi, to name one example. That being said, as with any political race, I wish they would have focused on what they are going to do for the American people, rather than attack each other. I encourage people to google Mr. Trump MSNBC Titans or more recently watch CNN's The Essential Trump.

lets see..raciest comments..so many, ridiculing a reporter who has a speech disability ..he's fine mentally but has a disability..and it is played daily and each time I see it I want someone to kick the Donald hard u know where. Made fun and derogatory comments on a "gold star " family..[ if u have served and been there then u would understand how sick and wrong that is.].it's enough that we have folks volunteering and serving and going to all those bad places and when they pay the ultimate sacrifice, well their pain is over but know for the rest of their lifes, the parents and other close members of the family will be suffering..hourly, daily..especially as in this case , a only child. 13 year old possible rape, four times..twelve woman stating inappropriate sexual behavior..{all are lying??}.. Questionable business practices..useing possible legal technics to stiff creditors..many small businesses..independent contractors knowing while he can afford those lawyer fees they normally can't...and this is the guy who says he will look out for the American citizen,,"Trust me" Main stream Republicans actually coming out publickly and saying can't support the man..[that politically is just not done by any party] I can list so manymore negatives but uknow them all....andHillerysrecord....investigated up the yingyang and nouthing real bad found and over $80million spent...e mail screw up...30 years of working for American Public...Am sure some naughty things over her work life....who doesn't have a few in the closet..me included..but to compare the two..naaaa no contest but no problem...she is going to be the next POTUS ...first results in a little less then four hours...and then we can sit back and listen to he and his talking heads gash their teeth as they cry foul...stolen election..crooked opponent..dishonest.."I'll sue.."..... .....

Doesn't give any programs..just "Trust Me" Build up the military...,didn't know it was weak... ]

My point of posting my comments above wasn't to get into another circular argument about the candidates. There are enough of them on the Politics board. moon/Laura gave me the courtesy of responding, and I reciprocated.

The results kinda blow the lid off the "Donald Trump is a legitimate candidate" argument. If you think this forum is any way representative of the American populace you are seriously mistaken . This forum is so left leaning it makes the Huffington post look like a conservative news source . I'm actually surprised Trump got the amount of votes he did! I agree. And I admit that I'm shocked considering it is part of a money board. As a whole I think the members on this board are wealthier than the average American so I would expect more conservatives (since wealthier people tend to be more conservative).

Well, I'm surprised. I didn't even think there were 38 posters who regularly posted on P&M. I'm not surprised...YM also has a much higher % of liberals than conservatives.

Who'd want to get abused if they don't follow the lib line? I get trashed regularly by folks who don't think like me on P&M. Its not one sided. Except it is a small handful of posters....on the flip side, if you are a conservative posting conservative views you get lambasted by most of the board. Not worth it.

Most are in fact fairly moderate. They only seem overwhelmingly liberal because the conservatives have (as a group) gone so far from the middle.

I voted for trump. And honestly, it is more of a spite vote than anything else. I honestly can't stand either Trump or Hillary and thought about voting third party. But over the last few weeks all I have seen from the Hillary camp is non-stop bashing of the Trump supporters (on my FB...but now that I think about it, on here too). It is one thing to bash the candidate, it is another thing to bash people voting for him. I'm not ok with that. I have family voting for him and I happen to love and respect them.
So I made the decision to vote for Trump as a big "fuck you" to everyone that can't accept that others have different opinions.

Why are we not taking this seriously? Spite votes?!?! If I voted for a third party my vote would be meaningless...Trump aligns more with my views than anyone but I personally don't like the guy. So it isn't like I voted for someone that is the polar opposite of my views. But I also wouldn't have voted for him if I wasn't bombarded with nonstop attacks from the left. So yes, I gave them a big "fuck you" for annoying the shit out of me.
ETA: I was originally voting for trump but then decided against it once all of the allegations came out. So I never disagreed with his policies, just him personally.

I don't know if I'd call mine a spite vote but I more voted against Hilary than for Trump. I also agree with his views but find some of his behavior disagreeable. But I find everything about Hilary disagreeable (to put it mildly for discussion's sake).

I felt some of that anger too. I'm not going to lower myself to the insults and crap - just a personal choice on how I choose to live - but I will take action to show my displeasure in the form of voting. Yep. I ignored everything because it isn't worth my time to argue politics with people who refuse to accept that other people believe differently or have different priorities in what they want in their candidates. I have people that I care about and respect that are pro-Hillary. I can't imagine bashing them because their beliefs are different than mine.

I voted for Johnson just like I did in 2012. He doesn't have the experience of Hillary or other big name candidates and I completely disagree with him on some issues but of the candidates listed he's the one I could stomach voting for the most. I think Hillary and Trump are both terrible candidates for different reasons. Hillary is a corrupt politician through and through and should be in prison but she's Hillary Clinton so the rules don't apply like they would to you or I. The republicans should have used the last 4 years to do what Obama did in 2008 but instead they continue to be their own worst enemy, see previous elections with comments made by the far right that cost them seats and the divide during the 2016 republican primary. The republicans being in such disarray is why Trump made it this far and I like the fact that he should serve as a wake up call to the party but he doesn't have the temperament to be president. If I lived in a state where I thought someone other than a D had a chance to win it that could have changed my vote but I can't say for certain.

First lady of both Arkansas and America. Eight years as a US Senator. Four years as Sec. of state. Prior to those you can check her wiki to find out other things she did, prior to Arkansas gov mansion, that served American people. But that is at least 31 years right there.

Clinton #1 accomplishments
Repeal of Glass/Steagle- This lead to the housing crisis and creation of the exotic investment vehicles that nearly brought down the entire economy.
NAFTA- Ross Perot said while debating Clinton #1 "That horrible sucking sound you hear is the sound of jobs leaving America". Turns out Ross wasn't far off the mark.
Student debt crisis- Clinton#1 signed off on the law that made student debt non-dischargeable through bankruptcy. Our young people will be paying off student debt with social security money.
Wheels turn slowly. These are the end result of policies created years ago by Slick Willy.
To those of you that fear having Trump near the big red button I ask you to consider this. Clinton #2 stated in the last debate that she wants to enforce a no fly zone over Aleppo. This will bring us in direct conflict with Russia. Now Syria has the only Russian naval base in the Med. sea. They are not going to give that up under any circumstances. That woman is going to bring us a war with Russia. There is something you should be worried about. Putin hates Hilary's guts anyway and he ain't gonna put up with crap from her.
Those will be wheels that turn much to fast.

If Trump wins, he said he would have her investigated. It might be interesting to see what does come up
when the FBI is not worried about Hillary being their boss.

As I said earlier, a lot of what we're seeing is protest vote. They're not voting for someone as much as against not only Hillary, but the establishment itself. It's something we should all have been aware might happen - and probably were.

It's something we should all have been aware might happen - and probably were. Probably correct or it means that the majority of my fellow Americans are either openly raciest in their views or closet ones..not really comfortable dealing with people different then themselves..besides that, the different faces of the Donald , which he has shown so publickly, don't seem to bother most Americans and I guess the possibility of a Woman as President really isn't that important to woman and really bothered the average male thus the break out of who did and who didn't support her. With the suggested sexual accusations made against him...I believe there is possible more truth to them then not...also not a concern..and as far as anti establishment...those who have chosen administration and leadership as a vice ..is that really a vice. As a example, couldn't I suggest u , Moon and say you rmoderators..since u control this site, are administrators of a sort..is that really a bad thing? Doesn't someone have to do it..and as far as protest vote..now we deal with the consequences and there will be many... His violent off the cuff temper and flapping mouth..yet so few worry about the consequences..? Just a few possible consequences..I see many of our allies..in the Pacific, where Obama was turning to as very important to our well being..changes happen. Japan, Australia, Singapore, S. Korea, Vietnam etc...turning more to China as it's sponsor , it's greater allie...which will mean more of a isolationist happening in the States..even Mexico, South American countries doing the same..China already has a great presence there... Man has to come up with a replacement to Obamacare...has promised bringing back factory work from over seas though with minimum wages going to $10 to $ 15 per hour, not sure how that will work out...now Supreme Court changes...we are in for a real mess IMHO..hope I am wrong...not so far as for me, my life is toward the end, but kids and grand kids..I would have preferred a more progressive leadership and believe the man and his followers are anything but...believe we have regressed at least twenty years...
