Unclear if she was connected with ISIS. Not sure if it is related, but he posted a pic to an Indian dating website.
Surprised no news story yet has had anyone mention what the dispute was at the party that had him leave early. Probably no dispute. More likely he checked the room out beforehand, make sure certain people were there, where security was (or was not) and went down to the parking lot and dressed for the kill. But, certain posters here think it was not well organized.......

We know that how?
It is certainly suspected by many to be sure. Welts list of places to be shot included two mass shootings done by relatively young crazy men - the theatre shooting and the school shooting. No one assumed they were radicalized Christians, Muslims, or Atheists.
The Colorado shooter planned at least as much as this couple did. The big question is did they go crazy because of perceived personal slights or does it have anything to do with radical Islam? Being Muslim is not sufficient cause to make them part of the radical crazies. Maybe she had postpartum depression and was delusional. Hard to know now, as people are mostly guessing.
Their family and the Muslim community down there isn't guessing and they know more about them then either of us Color me confused. Their family and the Islamic Center they held it at said they do not know why and are confused. You have other info?

Reports on CBS This Morning said the man was an employee of the place that was having the party, he left mad, and came back with his wife and guns.
I'm holding judgment to see if this was an ISIS related terrorist attack, or just a run of the mill violent whackadoodle.
Even if it wasn't an official act of Isis, the use of Isis-style attacks makes it so. Damn, so this guy is 2012 was really the start of ISIS in America?

It's getting increasingly difficult to tell the good guys from the bad guys. I am NOT trying to paint with a wide brush, but, jeeze, if the attackers' own family genuinely did not know of their intentions, how can anyone and should everyone now be suspect? (NOTE: that was a purely rhetorical question!!!)

Lot's of remorse, prayers for the victims and their families, etc. The leaders said, Let the police do their job and bring everyone guilty of this to justice and a proper judgement. Brother-inlaw was a little weak, but I can see where he would not be properly versed in answering media questions after the day his family was having.

It would be a huge job -- and likely not entirely doable -- but maybe it is time to block Isis' access to the Internet. ISIS and othersuse it. What You Should Know About The 'Dark Web,' An Anonymous Haven For HackersISIS uses it. The Ashley Madison hackers used it. But chances are, you're not so familiar with the so-called "dark web," a hidden network of websites that requires special tools to access. The appeal of such a network is obvious: Users can remain anonymous if they play their cards right, which means they can exchange sensitive information and make illicit business deals without fear of retaliation from law enforcement. Is it just me, or does anyone else here think some people's sarcastic responses to point out other Americans kill people here, is a strong argument today? Is there not one person here that believes the Colorado theater shooting was not done by an insane person?
Everyone knows me pretty well here and my views. I do not know if two shooters were insane. I think it is safe to say two people make it a planned attack, with a specific motive. I do not believe this is an international based terrorist attack as of now. There has been so much wrong info bandied around by all national media, we have to wait a few days and put it all together.

If the Mom of the Sandy Hook shooter knew of her son's intentions, why did she not remove the guns from her home? Why did she allow herself to be shot dead in her own home?
If you are going to do something stupid, whether suicide or murder, you generally don't tell other people unless of course you really want to be stopped from doing it. This is not rocket science or even HS level thinking. Kids from junior high on know this.

I May Be Crazy But I'm Not Stupid
A motorist is driving past a mental hospital when he gets a flat tire. He goes out to change the tire, and sees that one of the patients is watching him trough the fence. Nervous, trying to work quickly,he jacks up the car, takes off the wheel, puts the lug nuts into the hubcap and steps on the hubcap, sending the lug nuts clattering into a storm drain. The mental patient is still watching him trough the fence. The motorist desperately looks into the storm drain, but the lug nuts are gone. The patient is still watching. The motorist paces back and forth, trying to think of what to do-and the patient says, "Take one lug nut off each of the others tires, and you'll have three lug nuts on each" "That's brilliant!!!"says the motorist,"What's someone like you doing in an asylum?" "I'm here because I'm crazy"says the patient,"not because I'm stupid."

Here's a non-ISIS scenario. Wife has postpartum depression which is also putting hubby on edge. The co-workers throw them a baby shower. Comments are made perhaps because it is unknown when they got married and it is odd that her move to the US is right before or after the birth.
Wife feels dissed. They legally buy guns and plot for the next event that will have coworkers together to exact their revenge.
IDK. We probably will not get a clear motive from the press or even a half baked one.
Editted to remove the apparent buzzword honor.

I am not denying it could be ISIS style attack, and I am increasingly concerned about radicalized muslims.
However, until the investigation confirms this was religiously motivated, I'm making no judgments.

Okay that we are importing a culture conducive to honor killing? Damn I'd rather go with the Iman's version!! FWIW: It wasn't a baby shower

When the Colorado movie theater shooting first happened, there were all sorts of conjectures about it being religiously motivated by Islam. Turns out the shooter was a homegrown crazy.

We all want answers yesterday, but they will probably a be at least a week away, maybe longer, maybe never for some questions.
In the meantime please, let's just wildly speculate. Angry militants because dolphins are getting trapped in cranberry bogs and canned.

Damn I'd rather go with the Iman's version!! What version is that?
FWIW: It wasn't a baby shower My reasoning? Your reasoning!!!!!!!!!!
All I did is throw out a possible scenario. I had read the coworkers had a baby shower for their baby earlier in the year.

It's probable we'll never know what motivated this attack. Two of the people known to be involved are dead, so can't be questioned. There may be another person involved but law enforcement doesn't know if they have that person in custody, or not. They think they might but they're not sure. Unless there's some sort of manifesto somewhere waiting to be uncovered, it's likely anything we come up with will be nothing more than conjecture.

I might be a little slow today, but I don't really understand your question. I am not assuming it is an honor killing, terror, a whackadoodle, or anything in particular. I don't know, and am reasonably content to wait.
I think maybe you read something into my post that I did not intend. I simply meant that before the facts come out, people are going to wildly speculate as to what is going on. That includes the press.
Back to work for me though, so peace out for now.
I think Opti was referring to Ombud's post, not yours. At least that's how I read it.

My brain goes to a modified version of an old commercial: (Upbeat annoucer's voice) Yes, you too can become an ISIL terrorist. Prepare in the privacy of your own home. ... There are just a few easy to follow steps. First, start growing your beard. ... Not able to travel to a major metropolitan area? No problem. You can carry out an attack in your very own neighborhood. ... Start today. Allah will be glad you did.
